  • I know someone who drank all the time and her 4 kids were healthy weights and are healthy adults. How can this be?

  • I understand the point this video is making in all, but i wish it was a little bit more entertaining. its extremely boring.

  • @SonicBoom0626 What? That epically amazing rap at the end wasn't entertaining enough for you?

  • @nerdnina LOL I did't even finish the video. wow, that was entertaining.

  • It's just horrible that parents would continue to drink alcohol, knowing they would be hurting their baby.

  • i have a friend i love with DAS and lots of other stuff and this friend is great i wouldn't change her for anything - i just wish life was a lot easier for her.... BABGIES SHOULDN'T PAY THE PRICE FOR ADULT?????? CHOICES TYVM for posting.................

  • The problem is that the very people this video is supposed to warn usually don't give a crap. At least that's been my experience dealing with alcoholics and binge drinkers who don't want to change.

  • Did anyone else read the scrolling text with the Star Wars theme playing in their heads?

  • if u dont know how to raise a child dont have one either

  • it pisses me off when ppl make dumb ass decisions and then have the baby live like hell for their selfish self. idk why its so hard to lay off the drinks. i honestly hate mothers who drink because i have a friend whos mom drinks and she's such a horrible mother and is going out getting drunk and cheating while my friend is at home starving.LAY OFF THE FUCKIN ALCOHOL. damn

  • stop fucking drinking when your pregnant. JESUS CHRIST

  • I drank a little bit with my first and she's fine..

While I do agree, I should not out of the safety of my child, I dont think its bad having a few sips.

And yeah, the starwars text was incredibly annoying. I just wanted the message straight away.

    But very informative, thanks

  • @DarkAvenga Why would you want to take that risk? People like you piss me off to no end. "Who cares if my child could have birth defects that last for the REST OF HIS LIFE as long as I get to do what I want?" Grow up before you have any more. Geez...the risk of life-long birth defects just so you can have "a few sips"!!!

  • the star wars text has been done too many times. It down plays the serious message you are trying to convey. Being art students I expected a better put together PSA. In short this video SUCKS

  • I laughed and jacked off lol.

  • Poor abby brooke

  • What totally gets me about these whores who have these babies: they sentence the child to a life of hell... but they think they're too good to have an abortion.

  • I think you did a great job ! :)

    I like your rapping, I know I couldn't do any better :)

  • i love when he sing so funny and true what he is sing

  • Don't quit your day job

  • my mom drank while she was pregnant with me, she didn't find out until she was 4 months along so now I have to deal with lazy eye. my right eye doesnt move when I try looking to the right without turning my head. people make fun of me because of it sometimes. I guess they dont understand that it's not my fault

  • @mariskafan90..aww:( don't worry about them they're idiots God made you and that's all that matters! you're fine the way you are:)

  • @mikensal09 awe thanks! you're very sweet :)

  • i never thought i'd laugh at a down syndrome video but lololololol at the ending

  • @lizzym3 this is NOT Downs Syndrome! it's FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME.

Anyway, great performance and lyrics kid. now we know what someone with FAS acts like too. pretty much normal it seems.

  • @Christigoth OOPS, I knew that. Sorry!

  • my friends sister has down syndrome and fas I feel bad for poor Kayla :( she is 8!

  • Is that Daniel Tosh rapping?

  • The rap is WHACK....

  • this video was ok till the rap came on ,,

  • We just learned about this in Health Class. It's so sad/:

  • this video seems to have a lot of mixed comments, I thought it was pretty good.

and the guy rapping at the end although he wasnt great it wasnt bad and it had a catchy chorus which is good when your trying to get across a message

  • not to be an ass but they should call "Jack Downels" Syndrome.

  • que porqueria.. hacete dar

  • yeah is true es el sindrome del borracho

  • terrrible video. Please take this off youtube thanks. lol

  • My mother slammed alcohol when she was pregnant with me, My life is hell! Imagine you body like on and energy drinks 24/7 and your mind is on speed. several thoughts racing, .makes it hard to even learn and have conversations. I knew there was more then me just having ADHD, im still suffering from what she did. Message to alcoholics DON"T GET PREGNANT! Vote up if you agree

  • @dancetyme07 my boyfriend was an alcohol fetal baby and thankfully he is just fine the only thing that is wrong is he cant get drunk even if he wanted to its bad

  • @dancetyme07 ...Interesting, considering Alcohol is a depressant and not a stimulate..are you sure you are just on drugs or just don't care??..I don't buy it

  • @Ensconced69 It's nothing to do with it being a stimulant or a depressant (that depends on it being present in your blood stream and acting on your body) it's the Birth defects it causes, specifically mental defects.

  • lõl_ANYøÑë_wañnâ_chÂt_wíth_më_Ì_feêl_sØ_lóÑÉly_tÕdÁy═

  • does someone have lyrics to this?

  • fetal alcohol syndrome on the brain. I think its gonna make me go insane!... I think I have a new fav song..

  • LOL

  • this is kind of annoying and hard to watch... the only time font should be scrolling up and fading in the distance is when the words, "long ago, in a galaxy far away..." is at the very beginning.

  • i'm right drunk right now and my baby will be just fine i also do meth it just makes the baby happier when it come out duhhh u are you stupid

  • @roundweego1 Do yourself a favour and give your child to some people who really need it. Would anyone give thier baby alcohol to drink? No, now think why.

  • The reality is that there is nothing we can do about those infants already born with FAS, but we can prevent future infants born with FAS.

Project Prevention is a 501(c)3 organization that offers drug addicts and alcoholics a cash incentive of $300 to be responsible and use long term birth control.

  • listen,,,doctors do say its ok to haveawee drk,,,see when they do,,,tell them to fuck of..u cant d at all...every women is different....it depends on urhealth,ur weight, the way u eat...plz,,as every wpmenis different...my mum is an alcoholic,,,she drankso much an i dont have fas,but i wasnt a hevy heavydrinkerand my son has about a level 3 in fas...the kin over hi eyes, his tiny finger sticks out,he is way below weight a height..he ha the small nose..plz dnt drink AT ALL...my sons lif i ruined

  • This is shocking.

I mean the video, not the content.

This issue in society needs people to be aware of it because it's advertised WELL not being everything related to it is complete crap!

Take it down take it down.

  • @Eleatie why is it complete crap?

  • @the1princefrank what about this video would you consider to be good?

This makes FAS look like a complete joke.

  • @Eleatie well all the facts up to 3:04 seem correct and all the pictures are of children with FAS, the rap is well ment and and could be helpful for keeping it in your memory rather than seeing this video and then forgetting about it shortly after.

The person who uploaded this is stating true facts and trying to raise awareness.

  • my mom sneekie which i cant stand her shell drag all down bitch get out of my life big deal user

  • this isnt a very good psa, especially for a school of the arts. I didn't learn much from it and without music it was boring and the rapping at the end was horrible!

  • school of the arts.. really..

  • My mom smoked and drank her entire pregnancy...she had her priorities.

  • mri show actual gaps (holes) on the brain as well.

  • thank you for sharing.

  • to al of the belows,i gave my son fetal acohol syndrome and its a horrible thing to give to any baby..i hatemyself for wat i have done...i wasnt an alcohlic, and after 9 weeks of me being pregnant,i stopped drinking completely....my son has full fas and its all because of drink...i had never hear o fas before and its about time doctors started to explan to pregnant women the risks

  • @6969ldd

Im glad you know now!...Im a young adult with FAS and let me tell you life wasn't easy and isn't going to be in the future. Don't hate yourself for not knowing what could happen to your child if you drank, be an advocate. Speak and teach others about it so that maybe you could save another child from having a lifetime of difficulties.

  • @6969ldd thats just sad....but ur son he isnt mental or anything right?? ..im sorry i said mental...

  • @TheHottygirl13 ...yea babe,,he has fas and cerebral paylse...hecant walk or crawl...he is under weight...they say its not my fault he has cerebral paylse but bcause of the cerebral paylse i dont no how much damage i have done to him,,i will never forgive myelf, but i need to be the best mum i can be,,i love him sovery much and i would die for him...he is a wee blessing...its hard though ,,if i hadt drank,, mitebe able to crawl or walk...pl dontever drink whilk pregnant babe..plz...

  • School of arts must be a shit school because that was probs in the top 10 worst videos i've ever seen

  • star wars joking but thats sad also check out fae and sids

  • I'm 14 years old and all 3 of my sisters unfortunley have FAS..let me tell you. It can be very hard living with them!!

  • Im quoting this out of my HN book, Called Nutrition & You by Joan Salge Blake, page 323... "The only proven safe amount of alcohol a pregnant woman can consume is NONE!!!! Women should advoid alcohol if they are, or could become, pregnant."

  • Your doctor is obviously not smart at all. Any good reputable doctor WILL tell you over and over again that drinking is NOT recommended during pregancy. There is NO known ammount that could hurt you baby, so therefor NO drinking during pregancy. Reserchers DON'T know what causes FAS for sure, so the best way to advoid it is to not drink AT ALL.

How freaking selfish can you people be? You can't wait 9 freaking months w/o drinking? How would you feel if you child did get it because of YOU?

  • Why am I seeing some many incorrect facts on you tube lately? FAS only effects children bourn of alcoholic mothers not a moderate drinker. It has also been advised that a single glass of red wine once a week during pregnancy can do no harm to the child and in fact can be beneficial due to the anti oxidants present in the wine.

  • You're incorrect.

  • I'm fairly sure the pre natal doctor who advised my sister of this fact would know more on the subject than you.

  • "No amount of alcohol has been proven safe to consume during pregnancy. FAS and FAE...are 100% preventable when a pregnant woman abstains from alcohol." While it's true, more symptoms are more commonly seen in alcoholic (8-10 drinks daily) mothers, there are definite symptoms that range greatly in mothers who drink as few as 2 drinks. Daily drinking does not need to occur for FAS to be present.

  • Like I said, I will trust the professional opinion over that of a random youtube user.

  • If you look online, you can easily find studies, articles, and research conducted by "professionals" (AKA M.D.'s) that support the points I made.

  • Apparently, you never went to school. I am currently in Human Nutrition AND Psychology and they can't stress enough how drinking effects the fetus. If you are told by a doctor that it is okay to drink during pregancy then you need to go to a different doctor.

DRINKING, EVEN JUST A LITTLE, IS KNOWN FOR CAUSING FAS. OVER AND OUT.

  • And the comment about how wine has great antioxidants, this maybe true but there is also a numerous other sources that you can get these antioxidants from. It doesn't have to be wine, so that arguement kind of failed for you...

  • uh, human nutrition and psychology studies. So how many babies are you qualified to deliver?

BTW I did go to university and just like yours my degree had nothing to do with pre natal care or fertility so my facts come from someone who has studied in the field, not a random google search with so called facts that are dubious at best.

  • I am so with you. When I was pregnant, my ob/gyn told me clearly that a glass of wine, or 1 beer occasionally would have no effect on my son and he is perfectly fine! Eventhough I still felt guilty and only had 1 beer. I agree with you. I have read the same things in text books and head it from more than one doctor. They have the degrees on their walls, not all these people stating wrong OPINIONS!

  • Thanks Rachal. It's nice to see someone who has an opinion of a professional over what they read on a google search chiming in.

  • It's not all the womans fault....if the father drinks or smokes heavly it causes defects in the sperm which effects the developing fetus.

  • WTF

  • Well in spite of what other people think, I think the rap was good. I hope the message makes someone think and do the right thing.

  • Cause is win Rap is fail

  • Believe it or not, the amount of alcohol consumed by the man also influences the health of the baby. Though chances are much slimmer, it's possible for the fetus to be affected negatively by the impacts of alcohol.

IF YOU'RE DRINKING, DON'T HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX.

  • You think it's impossible to conceive while drunk? The global procreation rates of my fellow Irishmen suggests otherwise.

  • lol. there's always ONE jackass that takes the most ridiculous statement seriously, and uses a nice word to sound smart.

    good job ;]

  • Comment removed

  • yeah right

  • The rap song was awesome!

  • couldn't finish watching it.. first it had no sound at all and then the rapping?? geezus...

  • damn, 2 months after you wrote that nice speech and the only reply is from a guy who could give two shits. gratz

  • The white kid rapping poorly ruined it. I thought the purpose of a public service announcement is to get people to listen, not to turn it off????

  • @WIWL well you know YOU COULND DO ANY BETTER you bitch ass nigger fucker , oh yeah THIS KID HAS FAS so u might wanna shut ur ass up you dick sucking whore

  • @Allstar72798 OKay wow. Calling people racial slurs and random swear words is no better than any other insult to anyone so you're just like the person you're responding to.

    Completely immature.

  • @Allstar72798 did you just guess that he has FAS?

  • well good for you, you irresponsible fuck.

  • ooh. hardcore! .....

  • now for fuck sake pregnant moms stay off the Booze!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wonder if alcohol or possibly the yeast of it could contribute to Autism at all. I know someone whose first child(which was conceived on their wedding honeymoon) has Autism. Having had some alcohol, living in California only during that childs conception(not the other kids), a bad yeast infection are the only differences from during that pregnancy as opposed to her other ones.

  • *meant living in California only during pregnancy with that child not "conception"

  • Thought they don't know the exact causes of Autism, drinking dosen't cause it. My daughter's fist child has High Functioning Autism pdd-nos...No alcohol during the preg. My adopted son, on the other hand, suffers from FASD, ODD, Bi Polar, Schopherina(SP),and horrible learning disabilities. She drank, and did drugs.....He is paying the price for the rest of his life. He isn't growing right either..she was 16..

  • white boy never rap again pleeeessseee like soulja boy uve killed hip hop

  • I taught kids with FAS, and it was almost like manual labor. We had crack babies too, and that was worse. A woman who is drinking during pregnancy isn't going to stop. She'll be completely addled from the alcohol and won't be thinking straight.

  • that's a usefull video.

  • this is so upsetting.

  • I gets it and will pass it one...knowledge is our best defense!!

  • This is something that has only come to light in the last 2 decades...blame? not sure...however...I am certain that it didn't only begin 2 decades ago...it has been happening for thousands of years..and natives did not drink before 1492...this is relatively new to North America....It is preventable and it is retraceable!!

  • yes it does. I will never drive a car, or balance a budget. Sometimes I have fits of anger toward my birthmom-she could have prevented this. I would not have lost my daughter Aaren if I was born whole.I shake all the time, sometimes I have to use a wheelchair. I limp, get stared at & taken advantage of. I dont understand complex things & people call me stupid, or retard. I am 31 years old. I have lots of pain to deal with.

  • I have FASD & have no upper lip at all. If I were a guy I could hide it with whiskers.

    (Its a bad joke)

This disorder is permanent. the only thing I can do about it is laugh about it.

  • im glad your not letting it affected your live that much....

but does it bother you at all??

  • Excellent I love it, I hope more people could access your video, i.e. highschools, colleges and more so young girls can learn what can happen while the are will.

  • ben i love ya for this!!!

  • You are a saint for caring for him.

  • Thank you for an excellent video. My son's life is hell. He dosen't understand so much, he is 10, suffers from rage disorders, steals, lies, he can't read, or do basic math. He has no friends, he has speach problems, he has sever mental illness, ODD, OCD, Bipolar, and Schizopherina, Aspergers. All because His birth Mom drank and did drugs while carring him. Thank you for teh video.

  • ok, i'm not trying to argue, and it's great you are trying to help your son who was hurt by his birth mother, but is it not strange to be diagnosed with all of that? basically, he sounds schizoaffective, something that can encompass mood disorders, thought and speech disorders, social withdrawal, irratibility/agression, lack of concentration and decreased frontal lobe function, etc. Just a thought.

  • i got fas and when i saw that kid in the end of this clip raping he whas good and it realy made me thinking of it´s mening
