The logic that tells them to laugh instead of actually DO SOMETHING,is the same logic that has driven their entire country onto becoming the United States of Anti-brain.
@doggzma if laughing and crying are the only options, then people are in serious problems.
I laugh because seeing humanity fall under their idiotic management of themselves is the best joke, since they keep looking at themselves has the "ultra" race, has the "best" thing in creation and their pride in themselves is the only huge thing about them.
Imagining their faces when their entire civilization collapse-Is the punch line, and that is a heck of a fine joke =D
@heynowable that's your opinion, and am certainly not gonna lecture you about it. But to me it just gives me sustainability in life and just an overall reason to live for something that's greater than just a materialistic world.
Guys, when listening to George Carlin, as well as laughing at the genius... also LISTEN to what hes saying!! he knows the system, and all that goes with it... trust me...
You know I think we should clone all the people that speak the truth kill off the ones that just so happen to be messing everything up and then make sure that the clone of George is running the whole thing
the whole world is screwed up with their religions and governments..america is said to be land of the free but to some point most americans discriminate against others..and yes i live in america and of couse all will call me a traitor but "freedom of speech" resides in america, i put quotations because freedom of speech has limitations on it making it not free speech...its said that "those who hate and discrimate are only afraid on what is different"..i could right a book on this stuff hahaha XD
When I had to testify in court, I was instructed to simply raise my right hand and say "I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, as ordered by the power of the high court." It probably varies by state - I bet in certain places they wouldn't want testimony from an atheist anyway. xD;
perhaps they want easier manipulated people so more innocents end up behind bars and more criminals run free. i hate the justice system i almost went to jail and i was framed meanwhile someone stole from my house and because he was a minor he didn't go to jail and i didn't get my stuff back and for reporting it my rental insurance cost more. why should being a kid excuse you from responsibility. man i miss Mr carlin he is the only person that ever made any sense.
i miss george. you may not have liked or agreed with everything he had to say, but he always gave everyone something to think about. he was a great comic and i wish i could have seen him live.
@tatethompson1234 Maybe it's because this is more clever comedy? He's not only a comedian, but he is also a genius and basically slaps people from the illusion of religion and other hokus-pokus there is in this damned world. And he adds a comical twist to what he says, to get more people's attention.
Watching these vids made me think that the voice of God (Creator, Supreme Being, what ever yer having yerself, there) is speaking thru Carlin. Look at him, he almost LOOKS like a fairy-tale Male God-Head dispensing eternal wisdom, truth and compassion while his rap is destroying all the hypocrisy and bullshit that is inherent with organised religion...
you just have to swear on an upside down backwards brail bible with half the pages missing, except on a friday when you can swear on your mothers tits..
THOUSANDS of people who at any given moment would listen to him. I think he did all this involved, deep, introspection for us!... As well name 1 person you would love to have 50 beers with more than george carlin... just talking like would blow your mind i.e no super models but for real, what a thinker he was... r.i.p!
@Hunkola well obviously you're full of shit. Ever heard of logic? Don't just spew syllogistic fallacies and expect people to take your atheist bullshit seriously.
A great finale for Carlin. This being his last HBO special, I think he did a superb job and it's good that he wrapped up his career (without knowing it) w/ something like this that is so spectacular and, personally, one of my favorite things he's ever done.
*tear* I'll miss him...<-Like that means anything, I didn't know him personally, not many people did, so how can we say that "We'll all miss him," when we(the collective majority) never even see the man day to day? Would you normally say you miss someone you never met or never see but a few times a year? No. We Should say: We are all sorry that you had to pass away, since you have brightened our days and made us think about life more than anyone. Rest In Peace George Denis Patrick Carlin. Cunts.
Carlin WOULD say something like that. He'd also say, "What is the big deal about saying 'Rest in peace'? Like I'm gonna rise from the grave and stalk you if you don't wish me peace and rest?" If he were somehow still able to communicate with us, he'd probably have a whole speech about sayings people have used to describe or talk about his death. I do feel his absence in the world already though... And I hate that my favorite person has now died.
Actually as of after 9/11 he is risking his life due to the fact that after 9/11 we have lost most of our rights as a citizen.
Knowing that the Patriot Act has given the government to watch through our private lives and to arrest, or dispose of those who are acting un-american. (ex: the Democratic governors who are constantly in the news for having sex with prostitutes. Those news came from using the Patriot Act. And isn't it a little wierd that only Democrats are shown not Republicans)
I honestly can't think of a better system than the one we have. It really makes sense to me. Why I go to work? To make money. Why do I pay bills? There are some necessary things I need to live well- ie. car, place to live, student loans...you expect this stuff to be free? this stuff isn't BS- To me BS, is spending 50K on a car when you make 30K a year...or buying a home you can't afford and then expecting someone else to bail you out. What? I challenge you to name (within reason), one dream you can't pursue in this country.
If your american dream is to live a totally carefree life, sit on a curb and collect change all day. Hey we'll even give you free food (soup kitchens) and a place to stay (homeless shelters). I don't get why people make excuses for not doing the things they want to do in this country. like the government is holding you down or something...give me a break
If by willing to "fight" you mean soldiers, I could care less what perks they're given if they're willing to die in war for this country. that's retarded man. I mean think of the sacrifice they make and your concerned that they get to "see the world" for free. If you don't want to "fight" join the peace corp and see the world thay way. Hey we have great community colleges also and the stafford loan can easily cover the cost for an associates degree by the way.
haha your funny man. I guess you never heard of welfare, public schools, medicare/medicade,unemployment, social security. Trust me buddy I grew up in an area where many many people contributed nothing and got undeserved "assistance" from the gvmt. in the form of welfare. My brother is handicapped and contriutes nothing but gets taken care of pretty well and lives a nice life despite his condition. you're a little clueless man and it's frustrating.
I have universal health care, 24hrs from birth till death.
Almost no private schools, because the government offers free elementary and free books on elementary and high school for everybody.
I have a labor union, giving me 24 paid vacation days at least, unlimited sick leave, a retirement fund for when I become 65 and a fund for when I can't perform my job anymore.
We have social security for the immigrant, the criminal, the poor, the disabled, unemployed and so on.
Man you talk about government like it's their job to "cure you" (whatever that means). why do you expect so much from them? do they know you, your needs, or what you want out of life? They're are a necessary evil. I really don't get this mentality where you expect a governing body with obvious selfish agendas to be the answer to all your problems.
A evil government body is only there, because you allow them. Why not replace or remove it all?
If let somebody control the nation and also have to dedicate a significant part of my life(work=tax), I definitely expect something in return. And it better be good.
Just because I'm a decent guy, I think this should be for every citizen. Specially those who can't afford it themselves and of course in case it happens to me.
Why else have a government in the first place? What is their job?
Well, I'm not a teacher, and I don't drive a car, but I am not influenced by everything put in my face by marketing/advertising (I don't watch TV, listen to the radio, or read magazines). I have defined my own American Dream (although I cringe to call it the "American Dream" I'd prefer to call it "my dream"). Do you fit your description of nonconformity?
Lol. I didn't mean to call you a mediocre mind and didn't intend to call myself a great spirit, I was simply quoting one of my favorite people in the context of conformity. I believe conformists to have mediocre/restricted minds. I was simply trying to get across what my opinion was with Einstein's quote. What would you suggest to start a revolution? How do we get people out of their coma of ignorance?
there is no cream, but america is still scum. it's a corporation that is a haven for the rich. american greed destroys nature, creates too much control, and enslaves lower class people.
my concern is, that the "smart" americans, don't do anything. do you see the extremes people are willing to go in europe, when they are opposed something?
People in america cry and bitch but monday-friday, 9-5, it's business as usual. I wanna see a citizen uprise. The bush admin. is a monster of gigantic proportions and it can only be stopped if people display that they demand the truth.
Actually, Hindus dont have ANY hats, and Sikhs only wear turbans coz their religion tells them not to cut their hair, so they bunch it together with a turban. I know its silly, but then, every religion is.
"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly." --Albert Einstein
I also think we both have different definitions of conformity. I don't think that conformity is doing something that someone else is doing. I think conformity is doing something someone else is doing, not for your own reasons, but just because you're afraid to stand alone and do what you really wanna do. I am never afraid to be a minority of one. Carlin obviously isn't, either. And I'm sure neither of us do things simply because everyone else is.
I'm not trying to imply Carlin is like an outlaw. I'm just saying that the Bush administration probably isn't going to invite him over to their house for tea and tell him to give the people of America a break from their bullshit and a chance to complain.
It's up to u what u do with ur life. But getting distracted to blind u from the facts is no way of living. Do good things because is the right thing to do, not because someone told u to do it. Don't let the mind control the inner u. The inner u should control the mind. With positive productive thinking we can improve our civilized society for everyone. Hope u can help in ur community.
Why is it necessary for the masses? Because they're stupid? Maybe they wouldn't be stupid if they weren't fed non-stop bullshit. This country didn't supply Carlin for us. It would really like, I'm sure to exterminate him. Conformists seem to me to be some of the least interesting people on the planet. Being a conformist will take you everywhere but get you nowhere. The only memorable people in history are the nonconformists: Gandhi, Lennon, JFK, Medgar Evers, Plato, Socrates, David Hume, etc.

It's not what you do that is the BS.
It's why you do the things that you do that is the BS.
The action of swearing on the bible in itself is not BS, why you swear on the bible is BS.
Getting out of bed, going to work, paying bills are not BS in it self. Why you go to work and pay bills, that's BS.
mrispens 4 years ago
I honestly can't think of a better system than the one we have. It really makes sense to me. Why I go to work? To make money. Why do I pay bills? Personal responsibility goes a long way in America.
rjaya05 4 years ago
Depends on the perspective.
Student loan helps you to a job.
For the government, it creates employees in surroundings which thought can be controlled and directed.
When in debt, you owe somebody, something.
If the government truly wanted A-class students. Why is it a student loan then?
Why isn't a fully covered provided service then? Why spending billions on military, but not providing free education for everybody?
People talk BS, you swallow it, because for you, there is just enough BS

It's not just in the ability to pursue, but also in the possibility to pursue.
Homeless shelters and soup kitchens are patches for the wounds, not solutions.
Do they provide you with money, work or education to move on?

I got a feeling your thirty five and still live at home in your parents basement. Is that even remotely true? c'mon... be honest man.
rjaya05 4 years ago
nope, only 24.
True I live in my parents house.
Since my parents live abroad and I still study here, why shouldn't I?

If by willing to "fight" you mean soldiers, I could care less what perks they're given if they're willing to die in war for this country. that's retarded man. I mean think of the sacrifice they make and your concerned that they get to "see the world" for free. If you don't want to "fight" join the peace corp and see the world thay way. Hey we have great community colleges also and the stafford loan can easily cover the cost for an associates degree by the way.
rjaya05 4 years ago
Ah come on, who the fuck are they making the sacrifice for?
Great community colleges? Don't make me fucking laugh! American education sucks big time and makes me happy not to be born American.
Your right, I'm not American and damned happy about it.
"Die for this country" Pff, yeah right.
What does the country gain from their dead?
You tell me.
mrispens 4 years ago
America is sorry ass excuse for 1st world country.
America only works as long as you contribute. If you don't or can't, screw you.
mrispens 4 years ago
haha your funny man. I guess you never heard of welfare, public schools, medicare/medicade,unemployment, social security. Trust me buddy I grew up in an area where many many people contributed nothing and got undeserved "assistance" from the gvmt. in the form of welfare. My brother is handicapped and contriutes nothing but gets taken care of pretty well and lives a nice life despite his condition. you're a little clueless man and it's frustrating.
rjaya05 4 years ago
I'm clueless?
I have universal health care, 24hrs from birth till death.
Almost no private schools, because the government offers free elementary and free books on elementary and high school for everybody.
I have a labor union, giving me 24 paid vacation days at least, unlimited sick leave, a retirement fund for when I become 65 and a fund for when I can't perform my job anymore.
We have social security for the immigrant, the criminal, the poor, the disabled, unemployed and so on.
mrispens 4 years ago
And not just me, but every single citizen
What you and your brother got, is just enough BS to be pleased and to shut up further.
Like I said, your government is not giving you anything to cure you, just enough patchwork to stop the bleeding.
mrispens 4 years ago
Man you talk about government like it's their job to "cure you" (whatever that means). why do you expect so much from them? do they know you, your needs, or what you want out of life? They're are a necessary evil. I really don't get this mentality where you expect a governing body with obvious selfish agendas to be the answer to all your problems.
rjaya05 4 years ago
A evil government body is only there, because you allow them. Why not replace or remove it all?
If let somebody control the nation and also have to dedicate a significant part of my life(work=tax), I definitely expect something in return. And it better be good.
Just because I'm a decent guy, I think this should be for every citizen. Specially those who can't afford it themselves and of course in case it happens to me.
Why else have a government in the first place? What is their job?
mrispens 4 years ago
So whats your point here. it sounds like you do alright for yourself.
rjaya05 4 years ago
yeah, alright.
Could be better if people weren't so easily satisfied by tricks and gifts.
mrispens 4 years ago
Well, I'm not a teacher, and I don't drive a car, but I am not influenced by everything put in my face by marketing/advertising (I don't watch TV, listen to the radio, or read magazines). I have defined my own American Dream (although I cringe to call it the "American Dream" I'd prefer to call it "my dream"). Do you fit your description of nonconformity?
LiveAndLoveLife 4 years ago
How do we get people out of their coma of ignorance?

fuck americans-stupid, greedy, and selfish. scum of the earth.
torontogunner 4 years ago
classifying a whole country in any specific demographic is what is stupid.
Starting your post with swears is also stupid, imo.
There are a great many people in the USA who are sick and tired and maybe even a little scared of what is happening.
most americans are brought up to believe that possessions and money are what matters.
And if they are the scum of the earth, who is the cream of the earth? You? Me? China? Russia? Support your claims please.
tillo2008 4 years ago
there is no cream, but america is still scum. it's a corporation that is a haven for the rich. american greed destroys nature, creates too much control, and enslaves lower class people.
you're very hated people.
torontogunner 4 years ago 2
i'm not american. You might realize that if you look at the context in which I wrote my message. I'm Canadian just like you.
And AGAIN, i say you cannot classify a whole country in a specific demographic just because the leaders decided to do something bad.
That is like hating all iraqi for Saddam's crimes, or hate all Germans for Hitler's.
If we all play "Eye-for-an-Eye", the world will eventually go blind.
I don't say your words are false, but that kind of group-think got USA in trouble.
tillo2008 4 years ago
my concern is, that the "smart" americans, don't do anything. do you see the extremes people are willing to go in europe, when they are opposed something?
People in america cry and bitch but monday-friday, 9-5, it's business as usual. I wanna see a citizen uprise. The bush admin. is a monster of gigantic proportions and it can only be stopped if people display that they demand the truth.

Actually, Hindus dont have ANY hats, and Sikhs only wear turbans coz their religion tells them not to cut their hair, so they bunch it together with a turban. I know its silly, but then, every religion is.

LiveAndLoveLife 4 years ago
