  • Congratulations

  • looks great, you did a very good job!!

  • i like the part when the guy dies. Not to sound morbid. But damn, he looks scared.

  • Yeah, that's a scene from "Saving Ryan's Privates"

  • so emotional

  • hey, i love the demo. I just bought a sony webbie for 200 dollars...suprisingly it shoots 1080p HD. It works for me, but what software do u use for editing? I use sony vegas pro. Im curious what u use .....

  • I use Adobe Premiere. It's great, and so is Vegas. Its the artist not the paintbrush!

  • i love that hoppipola song

  • i LOVE it !! especially the beginning !! :D

  • Holy crap you have Sigur ros as the musical accompaniment, this video is very cool

  • Looks great man. Good luck to you.

  • You got talent. You really know how to catch the right situations and the right angles. And you also know what kind of music you should use. Really really good. My movies on YouTube is far far from this (but yes..we used a Sony cybershot from 2000). :D

    Anyways..you got a new subscriber!

    - Robert

  • wondeful work :O

  • This is amazing! you honestly have talent!

but a question? how do you do this, what equipment is needed and and was it very expensive? Ive been inspired :)

  • Well, for the camera half of these shots were done on 16mm film, using an Aaton LTR and Arri-SR3. The other half was filmed using a Panasonic HVX200a with Letus Extreme and Letus Ultimate 35mm adapters, with nikon and olympus lenses. Then, you add in lighting costs and its well past $15,000 on just the digital, non film equipment.

  • SIGUR RÓS!!!! :)

  • damn, I wish I could do some of that with my hvx... how long have you been shooting?

  • got the HVX in may 2008, used the letus ultimate and letus extreme for all of this, and some 16mm film cameras. I've been in love with making film/video since 7th grade though

  • Great reel. Great resume. You cost too much for me :D

In all honesty, I hope you go far.

  • haha i cost too much?

  • Haha, yup. But if you're ever in Chicago and you want some stuff to shoot, hit us up.

    Good luck!

  • funny, im actually going there in september for like five days

  • nvm about the song btw!

  • wel wel this is an good inspiration for me!

i'm going to study film so i'm going to need it

    what's the soundtrack?

  • THIS COULD BE THE MOST SUCCESSFULL ADD EVER!!!!! the show this is an add for (even though its not an add) will ne the best show ever lol

  • Haha, does it come off as an advertisement?

  • think about it as one of those dramatic shows with relationships action and a bit of crime. if u saw that on TV and then a message saying "NAME OF SHOW... Coming to Fox on July 23rd" you won't be surprised it was an add would u.

it's like a preview or a theme song (if u know what i mean)

  • Wow, that was beautiful, so dramatic!

What was the song used? I really enjoyed it, and it complemented the video perfectly!

  • Thank you!

    Hoppipolla by Sigur Ros

  • Beautiful and Impressive! Excellent use of Shallow Focus!

  • You honestly cannot do anything else but succeed you are that precise in your excellence.I will put you on my face book and let a director friend of mine see your work to let him know there is excellence in this part of the world too.

  • Why thank you Bobo! I appreciate it! Add me on Facebook if you get a chance. :-D

  • Superb footage and masterful cinematography.

  • Did the cinematographer die?Because this video has the look and feel of a goodbye tribute.Very intense. If so my sincere condolences.

  • I may have died a little inside...but I'm still here.

  • Oh,I;m so sorry.(lol) I'm delighted your still with us.But it felt so dramatic.(my bad)I love your work.

  • Haha, it's all good, thank you for watching Bobo!

  • Comment removed

  • Cinematography spot on and goosebump worthy. My only complaint... the music was overwhelming halfway through... for me it distracted from the overall good feel I had during the first half.

  • Glad you liked it, and yes, this song is a tad bit overwhelming, thank you for your honesty. Curious, was it too loud? Or was it the portion of the song itself?

  • Yeah, too loud for too long. The music is perfect... just seems like the bit between 1:10-2:05 was too drawn out volume-wise. It was during that bit I was lost on the picture and mainly thinking about the music.

  • Gotcha, well, I apologize for that.

  • awesome vid man!
