  • Do you have a flat ground blade version? I would prefer the FFG style as it seems more practical for EDC. The bayonet blade you have there is more of a curio or collectable, although if you dont have a FFG version the bayonet would do just fine anyway. : )

  • @noobslaya111 I do have the Flat Grind models.

  • @Roadsideimports Okay, I checked your website and so far my favorite knife you have in stock is the 9" AKC Bokote FFG version stiletto. I'm very tempted to buy it as it's a beatuiful knife, but ATM im short on cash so it will have to wait a while, especially since I'm planning on gettin' a few Spyderco and Schrade knives first.

  • got one without a checkerboard back scales in frank b style?

  • thumbs up if any one has ever been owned by the blade coming out of the handle

  • Thank you sir, I'll take em' Can you get a 9" beltrame swing guard with the abalone handle and Filework?

  • @meatman310 I don't have the swinguards I do have the 9" models

  • Hello I picked up a few stilettos from you recently, great knifes! Do you carry those limited edition beltrame stilettos with the custom etching and mother of pearl handles? I want one in the worst way!

  • @meatman310 I have an abalone shell model, should be listed. I have the Damascus models as well.

  • im ordering. dont care if i live in california. im not taking it out anyway, just want one.

that is of course if the people at the website refuse to send out the order. ill understand though.

  • i just ordered one yesterday

  • i just ordered one of these for 64 dollars do they break easily or are they realy tough to break

  • @vanceification there built strong but if you fuck it up and beat it it will not last long

  • i just oredered my first smith and wesson tanta switchblade, but these caught my eye, are these actually sharp or are they mainly meant for stabbing?

  • thats super cool....how much for it

  • how long do they last?

  • Depends how you treat it.

  • man that beat is catchy every time i watch your vids that beat gets stuck in my head lol

  • why doesnt it shoot straight out

  • Because it is a side opening model, if you are looking for the Old Trapdoor OTF then that is what you should be trying to look for.

  • man, i just cant get enough of that click! if you hear that, you know your fucked!

  • which has better steel? AKC or Frank Beltrame

  • Same thing, both made in Maniago, Italy out of the same materials.

  • are the Taiwan made stilettos just as good as the Italian made because they look very nice but thats the only ones i can afford?

  • Lower grade steel some times, if you go with the higher end Taiwan the it is a pretty nice nice comparable to the low end Italian ones for sure. Then it boils down to what it is really for. Some general collection cool, an top end collection no, but that just apart of collecting, you got to start somewhere to get somewhere.

  • where can I repair something like this? Mine the spring came off broken due to rust. I need to replace the spring. Mine is also vintage Made in Italy pearl handle.

  • I do have replacement parts listed.

  • @Roadsideimports which website please? I would love it if I could fix it ~!!! please help~!

  • I disagree with that Frank Beltrame makes good stuff, I think better than Armando and Renzo. It all depends on what model you are after. You buy cheap shit you get cheap shit.

  • are these alegal in san francisco around there

  • wow this guy is an excellent knife sales man i have posted quesstions on MANY switchblade sites and almost none have been answered thx alot roadsideimpor

what is the name of your site ? "road side imports??

  • The store is at AssistedKnife

  • My birthday is coming up and I NEED this knife. I checked the site but couldn't find it. Any help?

  • It is listed in the 9" Stiletto Automatic Section and in the Switchblade Kit Section.

  • There are only four 9" Frank Beltrames, and this knife isn't one of them. Do you think you could give me a direct link?

  • No links are allowed on Youtube so email me.

  • Done

  • You take visa elektron?

  • Aye

  • Do these Italian switchblades come in versions where the blade, via a spring, actually pops out from the INSIDE of the handle instead of the SIDE of the handle?

    If so, I want one.

  • That is what they are, they have a leaf spring inside that when you press the button release it and it opens automatically from the handle to the lock position.

  • No, what I mean is...

It's not flipping out of the side of the handle on one pivot spot, it's a sliding blade that's perpendicular to the handle but inside it at the same time. The same way a bullet comes out of the barrel of a gun, the knife comes OUT of the middle of the handle. And the same switch, when pushed backwards, can place the blade back in its resting, "locked" position.

  • An OTF model, yeah, Out the Front automatic, they are all listed.

  • Thank you so much!

One more question, though: does the Italian switchblade come in an OTF model?

  • There are Italian made models by AKC and Frank Beltrame.

  • in the netherlands they r some kidno f those but called springmes in dutch but they aren't auto as far as i know

  • i dont gte what the problem with stiletto's are? it opens the same way except you press a button and it opens for you. a weapon is a made a weapon by the person who uses it and their actions that follow. and what's with the law in ct that you can't own a tommy gun, do they have a list of weapons showed in movies that they dont like?

  • Yes, they actually do, switchblades were made illegal in places because of movies like "Rebel Without a Cause" and "West Side Story" stupid Hollywood nonsense helps to lead to the banning of things with the idiot politicians and they neglect to look at the item as a tool and do research on how many law abiding citizens use them responsibly.

  • can you ship these to tennesse

  • The question is are you qualified to make such a purchase, then if not there are alternatives and models that you can build yourself.

  • SO GETTIN 1!!!

  • we need to get a pitition going to try and legalize switchblades again because theyre no different than any other knife

  • They are legal in alot of states.

  • i dont care cuz its legal in nc and dats where i live

  • Well they can be concealed and so criminals can use it to greater effect.

  • Why does everything have to be deemed as criminal?

So if a pencil is used in school to kill another student then the result should be that all pencils and writing utensils should be banned from school right? You only need a keyboard now anyway so they should ban it all.

This is the most retarded view point but exactly how our stupid society views things.

Knives do not kill people or lead to criminal behavior. People do.

People are the problem maybe we should ban them instead.

  • Like it or not people are here to stay.

In the US this arguement leads down one path "why the hell would a criminal use a knife when he can use a gun?"

While I'm all for keeping freedom of protection in the private domain, the minute you bring any offensive weapon into public you should be scrutinised for doing so.

  • Bullshit.

Anything can be deemed as offensive, that is idiotic, the actions of a few stupid criminals should not dictate the limitations on freedom of law abiding citizens period.

A knife is a tool, just like a screwdriver, you can stab with a screwdriver and do much more damage with it, so now what ban screwdrivers because more criminals use them on the street?

  • Get real the issue is not protection it is utility and function.

A knife is a tool period and any tool can be misused.

The problem is with people who have stupid notions that banning things gives them more protection.

Bullshit you ban and restrict things from the public you take it away from law abiding people and give the upper hand to the criminals.

Criminals are always going to have weapons come back to planet earth, regardless of the rules they will break them and posses them.

  • Pull your finger out and deal with the facts instead of the pussy mentality that banning things makes people safe.

Banning things does not make people safe it makes things worse.

Gun bans in the UK, Australia, and Canada all resulted in a 45% increase in violent crimes of home invasion specifically on the elderly, violent robberies, home burglaries. Read the statistics.

  • Take guns away from law abiding people and criminals get to keep theirs and the result is it makes criminals jobs much easier.

CRIMINALS LOVE BANS AND RESTRICTIONS THAT IS THE REAL TRUTH.

So when you are not allowed to protect yourself and the government continues on the piss poor job of what it does and you wind up pennyless and stabbed then blame all the liberal pussies for your demise because there is no protection or solace in taking away rights from people.

  • Those who trade liberty for security have neither.

Knives only have two enemies; rust and politicians.

Criminals love control; it makes their jobs safer.

Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.

You have only the rights you are willing to fight for.

When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.

  • when concealed carry was first put into place, crime went down 27% in the first year.

dumbass guns don't kill people. criminals do

  • Amen to that, I'm glad people are beginning to see the issue, watch the new video about the US government banning Pocket Knives and help stop the revocation of the 1958 Act.

  • What state, what year and what was the wider context of this change?

  • June 21, 2009 is the last date you can protest the new law, watch my video on US Government making Pocket Knives Illegal. Customs is trying to change the current law, they filled this May 6th, 2009 and we only have a little under two weeks to write our disapproval to this.

  • the crime rate went down 27% as a whole,

it was during the late 90s

  • That is huge. It is sicking that these politicians we got running things don't see the statistics that prove their policies are complete failures.

  • Where are we talking about? New York? Birmingham? If I don't know the place I can't see the cause and effect.

  • You want the stats then:

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up & exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up & exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total of 13 million Jews & others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated

  • China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000 Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

  • Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to201977, one million 'educated' people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up an d exterminated.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century because of gun control: 56 million.

  • It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 3.2 percent

Australia-wide, assaults are up 8.6 percent

Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!

  • In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns!

It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too!

  • While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.

  • There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Aust ralian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.

  • You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late!

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.

    With Guns............We Are 'Citizens'.

    Without Them........We Are 'Subjects'.

  • During W.W.II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!

Note: Admiral Yamamoto who cr afted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 & was Naval Attaché to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend the country.

  • It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U. S. & knew that almost all households had guns.

If you value your freedom, Please spread this anti-gun control message along with the anti-knife control message.

  • These are all wars. We're talking about domestic gun control. I don't think ethnic genocide is on the agenda in the USA.

I was only asking about that example where the guy quoted a 27% decline in overall crime after a supposed concealed weapons law in the 90s. I just wanted to know the state this was in.

  • That was domestic gun control, war came later get that straight.

Then the fact in Australia are right in front of your eyes, don't be nieve.

  • Im glad at least one other person can actully view things like i do. I like collecting assisted knives but not to use as a weapon! I have them because they kinda remind me of the past. And does anybody even know that the true reason switchblades were invented was as a tool for fishermen so they wouldnt be dragged out to sea and die. I see knives as not a weapon. People are more of weapons than a knife is.

  • Couldn't agree more and you are right for the reason why things were invented. Media and Politician pervert everything and twist it so that they convince the people that they need them to protect them. We don't need big government it is the worst thing out there.

We need people to be responsible for their own selves and not to punish law abiding citizens for the foolishness of a few morons who can't behave themselves.

I'm glad other people are out there like gaintpandafilms it gives hope

  • just saw you vid on Scharade Cutlery. Impressive. i never knew the original autos were intended for fisherman. good stuff!

  • power in that action. Quality. FBs are the best.

  • im reading the ct laws but im confused it never says anything about them being legal in your home, but it says they are prohibated to carry if theyre over 1.5 inches. i called the police department and they said tht theyre not legal at all but i know that u can caryy them if there under 1.5 inches so they must be lying to me? so are they legal or not? can anyone help me?

  • They are not lying they simply might be misinformed. So now at least you know what the police enforce around you. The best is to call the chief or the city and double check.

  • ok thankyou

  • so if i buy a frank beltrame from ur store, it will come with a cob in the handle instead of the knife? but ill still get the knife?

  • My comb models are just that a comb and then the blade is included but not attached to anything.

  • Comment removed

  • how do you put in a spring?

because i just recently bought one, and the spring was removed. i bought one of those novelty switchcombs. hopefully i can use parts from the comb to fix my knife

  • You can't unless you got one that is not rivets. If you got a rivet model then you have to drill them out and replace them with either screw construction or new rivet that you will have to peen down and the Comb model do not work the same way, you need a full leaf spring system.

  • hey,do you know the massachusetts rules for these. like whats the inch limit of carrying them even if you can carry them?please try to get that question for me.thanks. james

  • if its illegal in region will you still sell it?

  • They are not illegal in the US they are restricted to qualified persons. Each state also has it own laws, then county and city laws as well. You are responsible for adhering to the law yourself. If you are not qualified then Kit models are listed.

  • nah i understand that but im sayin like i live in canada... if i wanted to buy it would u sell?

  • anything with a less than 6inch blade is legal i think

  • Canada has no size restriction they only have one knife law against automatics. The Canadian Criminal Code states exactly this:

In sec. (84)(1)(b) "any knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force, or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring or other device attached to the handle of the knife".

There are no other knife banning laws in Canada.

  • wait theyre not illegal in the us??? wut do u mean qualified to persons?

  • States have their own laws they are legal in many states, so it depends where you are. The FED restrict interstate commerce to only qualified persons such as law enforcement, military, and one armed persons. But inside states the state sets the statutes they decide and then local counties and cities can issue harsher laws on top of them if they exist. All this is listed on my website, so take the time to investigate the facts before jumping to conclusions.

  • Will I able to ship this knife to Pennsylvania?

  • I ship internationally the question is are you allowed to make the purchase that you should be asking yourself and finding out.

  • I have, it states that I am allowed to have an automatic knife as part of a collection, but other places state that only government officials, or police etc. are permitted to buy them. All I wanted to know was if I ordered one, would it actually show up at my door. Thanks for your patience.

  • Well, that depends I ship via USPS and UPS depending on what is shipped and how big the orders are so if your address is correct and not some BS then things arrive as mail normally does but if you are locked up in jail already then it won't make it that is for sure.

  • does the switchblade collection law also the same for california?

  • Switchblades are legal in California to carry if they are 2" or smaller. Switchblades over 2" are not allowed to be carried unless you are law enforcement, military, or have one arm. The laws are all concerning carrying the things into public.

  • The comparison can be made to a butcher knife, you can not take a butcher knife into a bar with you. So is the butcher knife illegal then? No the situation that you and the knife are in are illegal and prohibited.

  • yeah i know about the 2 inch law, but i herd that any size switchblade is legal in california IF u have it in a display case and u never open it? true or no?

  • The laws are about carrying them into public. If you don't carry something into public then you don't break the law. If the butcher knife stays at home in the kitchen where it should and you go to the bar, then you didn't break the law. If you take a butcher knife to the bar you broke the law. Pretty simple.

  • There are such things are private property laws and the second amendment. So your display case as long as you don't carry it around with you, is not a problem. But if you take it to the bar with you or into public then you violate the state law. Also remember that city and county laws can be harsher than the state laws, so they are the first to check.

  • ok thanks.

  • On your site, Dose it come in Silver like the one here?.

  • Yes I have that model.

  • Could you possibly give me the URL?.

    Please and Thanks :D

    Brandon,

  • AssistedKnife

  • yea well i have a freeekin comb exactly like this....bioootch

  • If I buy this, will the handle i recieve also be a Frank B., or will it be the crappy one that came with the comb? If neither, where does this handle come from?

  • What? I sell Frank Beltrame that means the blade and the handle are made by him. Where the hell did the comb come into the conversation on this item. This is a fixed and peened down stiletto which is 100% made in Italy by Frank Beltrame in Maniago, Italy.

  • I apoligaze, i posted on trhe wrong video, but what i was reffering to was the knife that comes as a comb, and the blade is shipped seperatatly.

  • Well, same thing, the handle is a Frank Beltrame and the blade is a Frank Beltrame and the comb attachment is plastic made by Frank as well. I don't see how you came to any conclusion that there was something other than Italian hardware on the item. It simply has not been peened down on the rivet pin and the blade has not been installed, that is how they ship out of Italy to everyone. Guys simply put them together, so I sell them like they are imported so other people can import them as well.

  • hey i no u probly get this alot but r these legal

  • Legal yes, restricted yes, and illegal to carry in some states yes, and legal to carry in some states yes. Complicated question and all depends where you are.

  • Now this looks a hell of alot better than the other stilleto you posted previously!

  • If I order the knife as a combo knife it will still come with the blade right?

  • What? You bought the comb model? If you did it comes with a blade for you to install if you want to.

  • I know they are illegal in massachussets but can I still purchase a switchblade like that? And how do I get qualified?

  • Buy it as a comb. Figure it out and visit my website.

  • thats some fucking pop when you open it

  • can you ship one of these or another Italian Stiletto to California

  • I ship globally.

  • well let me retype thatisnt it illegal to ship this to california because nowhere else i can find will ship me anything over 2 in

  • No it is not illegal to ship, it is illegal to purchase if you are not qualified. There are restrictions. If something is entirely illegal then that would be it. They are legal but have restrictions to shipping them across state lines. Go read the Federal Switchblade Act. I have all the laws listed on my site. So take some time and go there and educate yourself then there are plenty of options if you are not qualified because there are alternatives.

  • thank you sir

  • about how much do one of those cost?

  • Everything is listed at AssistedKnife

  • whats the difference between a dagger and a bayonet style??? is it practical or just looks???

  • The blade itself, one is a dagger and one is a bayonet look up the definitions and you'll understand.

  • i kinda know what they are. i notice the differences on the blades. i guess what i want to know if there is a noticable difference in the fucntion of the blade.

  • No difference other than style and preference just like a KRIS blade or a flat grind. The knife is all the same other than the style of the blade construction is all the same.

  • can i make a money order?

  • I accept money orders.
