The music was incredible though in some parts of the game (like the beginning), but in some it suffered due to being too obnoxious. Perhaps if they had tried better instruments the effect would have been better. You can tell, the game was either rushed or had a crappy editor/director whatever, 'cause towards the end when we kill the final boss, sound effects are nearly absent, though present in some versions but not organized. I hope next AITD has better voice cast, if there is any.

New Nightmare is such a good game in AITD series. New one is ok as far as sequel goes. I can't understand why they cut out so much stuff from this one? Like the scene where Carnby's looking at Fisk's body, & where we see an apparition of a Shaman? that would have added so much to the mood. What about the locked door on the roof? And that cool spider scene? Who the heck was in charge of editing!? Just look at the intro CGI in this vid & the actual in game one, water waves are different.

but the new alone in the dark for ps2 is suck! the camera is so annoying. You can actually skip levels if you get too frustrated, but you can save a lot of frustration by just skipping the game entirely. what a bad game.

Alone in the dark series are the best, in the early 90´s , the first alone in the dark was a fantastic game with amazing graphics. Alone in the dark 4 was amazing too. Better than resident evil, not only in graphics but in story too.

I think it is an early version of the 'tongue' creatures you face in the final version. As you can see they made the hellhounds slightly different too (smaller and more dark in the final version). The last cut scene is not in the game itself, only in the intro.

I've never seen that part where Carnby visits Fiske in the morgue! And there were no monsters in Alan's room, nor did Carnby ever go inside the fort, or take on a dog THAT big. And I never saw that stupid squid-spider thing either. What console did they make this trailer for?

he shot 2 shots. the upper one was auto-aim and there was a spider-like thing on the ceiling as well as the one on the floor. the only manual gun aim is horizontally, like when you turn. and the spiders can be a royal pain in your ass if you don't take them out in enough time, by the way.

This game always struck me as a good balance between the atmosphere of the Silent Hill games and the action of Resident Evil- even though AITD 4 isn't canonical it's still a worthwhile part of the series in my humble opinion.
