  • @jarackoh413 Agreed. Thanks for the comment.

  • I cant wait to be a brain surgeon

  • keep your brain ice cold, kids

  • These doctors have balls to take someone else's life into their hands, and so do you for posting this video; hope all is well!

  • @shtupnfish No doubt. They are heroes. I'm doing great. Thanks for your note.

  • @tracysigler surgons like this are frakin gods! very few other profissions require such skill. if you realize how steady their hands are they would also be very good on a bomb squad.

  • @USSR1941 That's for sure! I had some really good ones.

  • what causes it?

  • Looks like scambled eggs.

  • this is interesting

  • were u awake

  • @tracysigler You are a very brave person.. Seeing their own open brain is really a courageous act.. Hope you are doing fine.. and this Dermoid cyst never recur. My niece had also dermoid cyst from birth, but luckily it was outside the skull. It did not go inside the brain and was easily removed. It contained hairs and cheese-like material..

  • @eleggance Thanks for your note. I'm doing great.

  • @eleggance Wow that surgery only took like 15 minutes or less

  • holy shit, first of all im a pussy and still a virgin if i had to get this procedure done i'd probably commit suicide first, that looks scary as hell

  • who did the vid the doctor?

  • @loganbass10 Doctor/hospital, yes.

  • Nice touch with the music!! Hope u doing better. This video was awesome!

  • @Casinolucky Doing great. Thanks for the comment.

  • I feel like eating a big ass plate of eggs now :D

  • @xxxM0STWANTEDxxx hahaha omg

  • seroiusly???, was all of that INSIDE your brain????/, how did they detect it?, what sort of simptoms did you have?

  • @wmejia504 Yep. Headaches. Got a scan and they saw it. The whole, long, story is on my blog, along with photos.

  • wow....are we just brains?

  • well done doctor, well done.

  • what happens when you get like, dust on the brain???

  • @awsomeofthecool A damp sponge should take care of it.

  • it looks like cheese

  • When surgery is performed what do the doctor's do about the cerebro-spinal fluid?

  • @SparkX61 Good question. That's one I never thought to ask the docs.

  • Amazing! Hope you are still well! Thanks for sharing this miracle!

  • @neelieC Thanks for you comment. Yep, doing great.

  • Doctors should be getting worship cause god doesnt do shit

  • @shaneclone15 God does everything, that is why we exist today.

  • awesome... :)

  • Glad you're doing well. Cheers friend.

  • @thetruthbringer Thanks!

  • WOW!!!! That is very dramatic stuff there. Glad you are good now.

  • @abcedy123456 Thanks!

  • It may look like hes being speedy but in fact this is probably only a fraction of the time spent on the surgery. Hes taking his time. You do NOT want to fuck up with brain surgery. One false move and you cut into the white matter and you forget how to do math. The void left over after the cyst is removed wouldve been enclosed by the rest of the brain, taking up the space that was pushed out by the cyst. I do hope youre better. Good to hear the headaches are gone

  • @overusedoxymoron2003 Thanks. Doing great. Yeah, this doc is the man.

  • Cool!

  • Looks a bit like the time my son stuffed a whole loaf of bread into the garbage disposal and I had to dig it out with bbq tongs.

  • bit by bit OMG @@@

  • I'm surprised how quickly they do this as far as how fast they move.

  • Are you free of headaches now?

  • @xconeticx Yes. No more headaches. Thanks for asking. Sorry I missed your comment before.

  • Ewwwww it looks like mashed potatos lol

  • im guessing you had a head ache afterwards XD

  • @TheKaneECO Yah, a little bit. But it got rid of the big headaches for good.

  • Wow, really do not watch this while you're eating. I did and the thing they take out of the brain reminds me of cheese...

    Bon apetit <3

  • that's freaking awesome.

  • what is the liquid they use to flush it out?

  • @ba7raini5 If I remember what I was told correctly, it's just water.

  • never eating cottage cheese ever again.

  • Whats this song?

  • umm before or after this did it hurt?

  • @SINISTERxSNIPERz The brain doesn't feel pain.

  • I will NEVER be able to eat scrambles eggs again.

  • how did he manage to get this??

  • @nlsnestevez Congenital.

  • I just want to yank it out.

  • Looks like a bunch of cheese clunked in your brain. It has to be one of the coolest things to watch on youtube.

  • looks like scrambled eggs. Im hungry.

  • Wow...It's very nice of you to have posted the video of the whole process.

I Hope your much better :D

  • @TheMoe1995 Thanks for your note. I'm doing great!

  • is that in between the meninges?

  • @mebe I believe that is correct.

  • sick looks like scambled egg! these surgeons are good! glad ur doing k

  • =O

towards the end it was making me so anxious cuz he almost had the darn thing, but it wouldn't come out whole

wow, hope your recover was quick and not so painful =/

  • That look like eggs and cheese.

  • That's pretty brutal. don't mean to sound immature, but you're hardcore for this video btw.

  • SO That's Where I Put My "Buble Gum"!!!

  • wats with the music dude....ur brain is gettin dug out fur cryin out loud....nyways nice to know ur duin ok...god speed brother!

  • looks like scrambled eggs.

  • The guy who put the cloth on the brain was wearing no gloves!

  • its so amazing how people found out how to do these stuff, and yet make the patient still live. so cool

  • WHY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD IS HE NOT WEARING GLOVES?!

  • that is disgusting

  • Ewwww chunky.

  • whats going through your head while this is happening....besides those tweezers.

  • Oh, and by the way, I'm happy that it all went well! Congrats and I hope your health is intact now.

And thank you for posting your surgery here, it's been really helpful.

  • I would like to see how the skull is removed, and then how they put it back. Do you know if there's any video out there on the internet where they show the process?

  • @cindyaniston No, and that would be a little too grisly for most folks. For a text description check the blog link with this video.

  • @cindyaniston you watch SAW where the skull is removed

  • @cindyaniston Something like a grinder is used on the skull to cut an area big enough for the surgeons to work easily in.

  • i wanna be a cyst Surgent

  • Thanks for sharing! I also read your blog. It's quite interesting!!! I hope you're well!

  • @SURFERADDICTS Doing great. Thanks for your comment.

  • Thats so cool@# HOpe your better.

  • This is so damn gross.

  • This is a really cool video, thanks for sharing

  • GOT SOMETHING ON YOUR MIND???? HAHAHAAHAHAH no but gross looks likes scrambled eggs

  • I'm sure you have answered this before, but how long did the surgery last? And how long were you in the hospital afterwards?

  • @mjd2491 Hey MJD, You can all the details at the link with this vid. Surgery ~10 hrs. Went in Wed morning and left Sat.

  • dude.....no offence but arent u suppose to be dead if ur head got popped out

  • it looks like scrambled eggs o_O does this cause brain damage

  • what will be happevn if the dermoid cyst not remove?????????

  • wow was your head sore after the procedure, and also what happens if you don't remove the dermoid cyst?

  • @bye5225 Yeah, when they saw a big hole in your skull then screw it back together there is usually some soreness. Not sure what would happen if left alone, but I wasn't going to find out.

  • I like to have my brain poached, not scrambled.

  • man. the cyst sure is big. it looks like an egg. wow.

  • this is amazing :)

  • That...is..gross..

    but so cool. :3

  • Comment removed

  • well that's extremely big......

    Take care man!

  • looks kinda like scrambled eggs make me hungry not being weird i just havent eaten in like 7 hours

  • i noticed in your video it said " the doctor put that there to keep my brain cool" or something along those lines :b what happens if the brain doesnt stay cool???

  • @blacklabel254 I suppose something similar to when you overheat in any other situation. Heat stroke? Dunno. Maybe the lights in the OR create some heat.

  • how did even develop in the brain? ok, i read that it is some sort of bubble (something similar to cancer) that is hollow and may contain growing hair, fat, bone tissue, and etc. is it really true? if yes, it is scary

  • @aizik2005 Yes, that's what dermoid cyst is. It's congenital. Certain types of cells can just end up in the wrong place at some point after conception. E.g. skin cells in the brain.

  • @tracysigler

another question. was that cyst located between two hemispheres of the brain?

  • @aizik2005 No. It was on the front left. I also had a colloid cyst in the 3rd ventricle. See the blog for more details. The link is on my channel page.

  • Can I just ask something dumb? I know they give pain medication, but did you feel pain that you could differentiate between maybe the brain and the skull?

  • @02yellowgt For surgery like this you're under a general anesthesia, completely out. So you're not feeling anything. Also, the brain does not feel pain directly.

  • The beauty of modern surgery! great to hear your doing good! just 1 question, how big was the cyst?

  • @simfgta Thanks. The one in this video was about the size of a small egg. You can see it in the MRIs on my blog.

  • Does it feel weird to see your brain? :p

  • @darkko666 Ha. Not really. It would be weird if I could see my face in the video, but being up close makes it all a somewhat abstract.

  • OMG..............

  • what that stuf do to you

  • Were there any side effects from the surgery?

  • @dalek14mc None that I know of.

  • what would happen if you had left it there?

  • @kostaz8 It was growing slowly. Eventually I'm sure it would've caused more serious problems. See the blog for more details.

  • ditto

  • how the heck did you get that in your brain???

  • @TheLeslyGaGa It was congenital. Was growing slowly for 37 years.

  • how long did it take for your head to heal?

  • @xxxbustedsoulxxx Honestly I can't remember. Probably months for the swelling and scar ridge to fade. The incision healed pretty quickly, not sure about the bone.

  • @tracysigler wow that amazing. it must have been hurting the whole time it was healing

  • omg looks like the center of a boiled egg

  • Jesus Christ i hate blood and surgeries but i can't stop watching! Some of it is so interesting, and this is coming from someone who almost passed out looking at the scars on my knee from getting 2 rods inserted into my femur

  • the beat in part 1 was so calming and the beat in part 2 was like "ok this is serious business" lol

  • Is he having to work around the camera or is his head really that stable?

  • eeehhhhhh im getting queezy

  • Hope you feel better now :) The cyst is constantly reminding me of cottage cheese, haha.

  • Bless your heart! i wanted to reach in there and help Doc pull that stuff out. Hope you're all better now.

  • jesus thats huge and nasty

  • who video taped it and whats the white stuff

  • I know I would never let them dig a whole like that in my brain. No way. You were brave for letting them do that to you! Kudoes! :D

  • Man, your brain is beautiful, I do admire it! It is so beautifuly red! You must be smart person, it is well known that wise people have red brain, why brain of stupid people with low intellect have pale red brain, almost grey on some places.

By the way, it must be interesting to see your own brain. It is like looking at deepest core of yourself.

  • Thanks for posting! Its very interesting,I love watching brain surgery!

  • I wonder why the surgeon didn't use a suction on that dermoid. Looks like he did a great job!!!

  • hey, is your brain removed away from your body? or it's connected during operation?

  • @888gogeta Ha! No, it's still in my skull in this video.

  • @tracysigler

It looks like the inside of a hard boiled egg was implanted into your brain. I'm happy to see that you're ok now? God bless ya friend.

  • so great it gives information to young students like me.oh.,God bless you, anyway

  • You didnt feel it no?

  • @torerik1234 My understanding is that the brain itself doesn't feel pain. I was under for the surgery anyhow, so I didn't feel any of it, until later.

  • @tracysigler Im glad it went well.

  • @tracysigler

    Yeah, Hannibal Lecter said that.

  • It really depends on where it is and a bunch of other things. Surgery is always a risk. Your friend should be sure to ask his/her doctor every question he/she can think of. Best of luck to your pal.

  • Thanks for posting all of these videos! They are so interesting. One thing... I was a bit disappointed that continuity between the videos was lacking. It didn't seem that we saw the whole surgery. But I did find this and your blog MOST interesting! Thanks again!

  • Sorry the continuity isn't perfect. The whole surgery was over 9 hours. These are the few clips I got from the docs. The endoscopic part was first, then the dermoid. Glad you found it interesting.

  • wow! its truly amazing that there are already doctors who can operate brains so that they can save LIVES! wow! thanks for uploading!

  • Sure thing. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • You're a fighter! some people who have that surgery somtimes can't survive but LOOK at you! you Survived! You should be proud of yourself!

  • look like hard boiled egg yolk

  • i'm curious how this is possible, that doctors can tamper with brain and there is still no damage. i've always thought that the brain is the most gentle thing ever.

  • Check my blog for more details. As it was explained to me, the brain tissues are very soft and separate easily. So it's possible to push an endoscope through or otherwise move parts around w/o any damage. That doesn't mean there couldn't be damage, but in this case it worked out. I suppose certain parts of the brain are more susceptible though.

  • it seem there was alot in that demoid cyst. what (if you know ) was the matter made of? very interesting . I was just totally glued to the video well done. I am glad to hear you are alright

  • Yep. There was a lot of junk in there. Dermoids are mostly things like hair and fat from cells that just ended up in the wrong place. I think the waxy looking stuff is just fat. Thanks for the comment!

  • perfect

  • Was yours noticeable on the bridge of your nose? My 13 month old was diagnosed nasal dermal cysts and they have to check to see if it leads through the cranium ith an MRI.

  • The cyst was not visible. I had surgeries at age 7 and 31 to remove the dermoid from my nose. They should have checked to see if was also on the other side of the skull when I had the second surgery. It was congenital. Feel free to contact me through my blog if you have any questions.

  • this is really intense.. im 16 and alittle over a year ago i passed out and went to the er. they did a ct scan to look for bleeding, and instead they came and told my mom i had a cyst the size of a soft ball. theyre holding off on surgery because the cyst has brain matter in it, and i could die or be brain dead. i still suffer from migranes, dizzyness, and nausia on a daily bases

  • Sorry to hear you're having to go through this. That cyst is bigger than mine, but I had two. In the last few years they have really made some advances. Make sure you and your family like your docs and feel like you can trust them. If not, keep looking. I'm hopeful they can come up with a plan to get you feeling better ASAP.

  • Was there any memory or other functional damage caused to you by this procedure ?

  • I lost my sense of smell for a couple days, but it could have been permanent. I was told I might have short term memory problems for a month or so, but it never happened. Luck I guess. The whole story is at my blog.

  • good song

  • Did it surprise you seeing this video and KNOWING its yours!!? D:

    damn its crazy =]

  • Well, it didn't surprise me but it is a little weird. If I could see my face that would make it very strange. In the endoscopic video here you can kind of see my head through the scope when they pull it out. Oof.

  • I've got stuck in my head that I want to be a neuro. And this made me fall even more in love with Neuro.

    The site is ahmazing =]

  • i agree.
