@elkamaleon big difference.. except for acclaim spirit and lebaron are the same... but new yorkers have differeent body style,, its basically a dodge dynasty but fancier.. and sundance and shadows are way smaller than a acclaim
This is just a dodge spirit. A friend had a Spirit R/T special edition 1992, 2.5L, 16V turbo, manual transmission, 225HP, it was really fast!! 0-100km/h in about 6 sec.
@ArturikGDL i have a 90 acclaim that has the 2.5 it with the 3 speed ultradrive (ultra drive my ass!) and its the slowest car ive ever owned... but i love it. it totaled a toyota camry (their fault might add for not using brakes!) but mine still runs and drives! and even hit a deer in it! its my little tank! hahaha
@chazdiaz791 Like the Plymouth Breeze, i dont remember if it was 2.0 or 2.4, but the fact is it was a very slow car too. It had 3 speed and it was a very simple version.
I wouldn't mind finding a Saratoga if I ever move over to Europe. I had a '92 Plymouth Acclaim v6 when I was going to tech school...great car! I sold it to my parents when I upgraded - still runs great!
Just to clarify - the rear signal lights on the Saratoga are amber, as per European specifications. The Spirit was given the fakes to give the car a sportier 'import' look. It's a mystery why Chrysler chose not to wire them up to work, as both amber and red rear signals are legal in North America.
The European name for this car is Chrysler Saratoga. In North America, it was called the Dodge Spirit. The same car was also sold as the Plymouth Acclaim (with an egg-crate grille and all-red taillights), and the Chrysler LeBaron (with a waterfall grille and all-red striped taillights). Incidentally, the amber signal lights on the rear of the Spirit were 'dummy lights', the red brake lights also served as signal lights, as on the Acclaim and LeBaron.
what's the difference between this and the acclaim, sundance, lebaron, newyorker and spirit????

The name Saratoga was used in the USA during the 1940's and 50's.
