"..big learning to do", I think the narrator got this wrong, looking at the intelligence of Leopards through other videos, I think this one was just practicing/playing/testing the limits of its stalking, and seeing how close it can get. It was already within striking distance for a while and it did not bounce. When the Zebra noticed it, that gave the Leopard a critical piece of info...how close it can get where its stalking capacity becomes less effective and it should bounce...lesson learned.

@zhengmichael20 whenever you spot a leopard in the wild you're very lucky, especially around farming areas. you almost always have to look twice thinking your mind is playing tricks. they are stealthy as hell. that's the leopard's biggest gun. when you walk in leopard country you'd better have eyes at the back of your head.
