A versão em italiano foi lançada no Brasil no compacto:" 4 Temas de Cinema"(1968)),gravadora Parade. É o meu disco predileto e, o que mais vezes ouvi em minha vida. Saudosa balada de Berto Fia. Viva DJANGO.
This reminds me of Sergio Kaffuffel's 1969 opus ' Santiago, We're Coming For You, You Bastard!' A very rare spaghetti western (part of the Bastard trilogy) starring Terence Puccinni as the eponymous anti hero, Santiago. It was part of a trilogy that also included, 'Santiago, You Bastard! Where's The Gold?' (1968) / ' Santiago, This Bullet's For You, You Bastard'. (1970).
A e melhoer vc rezar ! Nao eestou escutando ! Nao estou escutando " Django "Entao escute isso papapapapapaap"
@BluesmanDizzy He sounds like a pop singer as opposed to what? Actually this version, if you want to make a credible criticisim, is that he's probably a bit too serious and emotional (especially with the vibrato), but obviously you are not getting that.
@BluesmanDizzy films about egypcians, persians , romans, germans, spaniers, made in holliwood speak in english, why italian movies can't speak in italian ?,sorry my english, i know it, is very bad
You're CRAZY! Maybe it's just because I grew up watching the Italian subtitled version, but the Italian version is so much cooler sounding! In the English one the guy's way more monotone and serious sounding, whereas the Italian version is so emotional and dramatic... idk I just love it!
@viewingut Im only 16 and I plan to bring back this style, i see the art and inspiration within these films. I am an aspiring film maker and I love everything about this style of cinema.
I love both English and Italian versions even the Japanese one I thought was bad ass when I heard it. Show's that a good song can work in different languages.
btw. can any1 (if knowledgable) give me hints of "old" italian songs which sing in the style of this musician, ~~ 60's italian drama/pop singers ((I've been told it's called "tarantella", but havent found much :( ))
@Bizhan85 no it's not called tarantella....tarantella is folk music tipical of the south of italy...naples in particulary but it has nothing in common with this western songs! this is just a tipical western song from the 60s....
you can find this song in the english version (the one that's is listened in the italian movie too) played by rocky roberts, it's not a tipical italian music genre!
Hey, do anyone knows who play's a guitar on this song, and is there someone who knows where can'I find the guitar chords or tabs for this greate song??? please someone help me,I'm crazy about this guitar plays.... Eti25
@swiftwind26 okay in reply to myself..thanks to this italian django sounding so chipmunkish - as I said before, and still not liking it thankyouverymuch....time to credit the singer of the English vocal to ROCKY ROBERTS an Italian black man born in Miami FL, USA. Roberto Fia, whatever dude here's your credit...Rocky Roberts spoke Italian too so credit to Italy if you are having poblems with Italian credit. So my 'Elvisy' description gets detailed..that's Rocky Roberts silly.

Actually it's not the dramatic expression, nor the vibrato, I even like both, since this is a score of a very dramatic story.
But what turns me off is the high register of Fia's voice, after the first verse.
Although his singing is far better than those terrible voices and tunes of the De Angelis spaghetti western scores.
I would have loved to hear that greatest of Italian singers Bobby Solo sing this title song, even though he's a pop singer too.
BluesmanDizzy 10 months ago
Well, no offense intended, but the Italian singer sounds too much like a popsinger to me.
I like the more serious approach of the English version far better.
I don't like watching westerns in other languages than English anyway, even if they're spaghetti westerns.
I mean, if the setting is the American west, it doesn't work for me when the actors speak Italian, or German, instead of (American)English.
But tastes differ of course, and that's o.k. with me.

Your English is fine and good enough for me.
I understand your objection on the languages spoken in American movies, and I admit that there lies a lot of truth in what you say about this matter.
I would like to hear Germans and Italians and others speak their own language too.
But as for westerns, I just can't get used to hearing the actors speak in another language than English.
If I would be Italian, maybe it would think different about it.
I love Italian movies though!
