I love this game, it was one of the first games that I played, and I remember that when I defeated diablo, it didn't show the outro movie at the end, it just got me to the menu, so I killed diablo several times until I realised that my version of the game did not have the outro :))

Ps1 version is kinda better. Because in ps1 version you can choose difficulty levels, read and listen to Diablo history in main menu. Despite that ps1 version has worse graphics, it has something that PC version doesn't have - water reflections, birds flying around in Tristram, Hell Horrors(skeletons who can resurrect each other) in the last level and ps1 version is much more atmospheric

I remember people saying sorcerer is hardest...after about 10years of not having played the game I played with the sorcerer for the first time. With my d2 experience I put every stat in energy, got mana shield and spammed fire wall. Shit was so ez I killed diablo in 3-4seconds. Hardly chugged a potion.

I just beaten the game today and my character was a pure warrior. The weapon I used to defeat the Big D himself was a Massive Sword of Speed, which bestows a 104% damage bonus to the user plus the benefit of attacking my enemies much faster.

One of the best games ever. We built a 4-station LAN with coax cable, a discard 30-port switch, and we built computers out of whatever parts we could scrounge in college in the mid/late 90's. We played this (along with Descent and Q1/Q2) for hours and hours. Nothing but drinking, ordering loads of pizza, and having a bunch of laughs. Good times.

D1 is best! It has the best style, artwork and music of all. I wish D3 had more of D1!! D3 has way to many effects, fire arrows and lightning bursts everywhere!! I want to see metal hit metal not magic hit on magic. Also enemies blinking whenever they get hit is annoying and adds to the over-the-top visuels. All other gamechanges are fine with me (skilltrees, AH etc), just wished they sticked to the Diablo 1 artstyle and gore...

@TomteDJ That's because hes not on the 15th floor. After you defeat Lazarus and return to town, talk to Cain, he will tell you about Diablo. Then return to the Lazarus's lair and a red portal will be waiting to take you back to level 15 and the "star" (pentagram) will be glowing red once you get there. It will take you down to Diablo, down to level 16.
