@bestsports1 Thanks ji for liking our singing. This Shabad Baras Ghana is sung by me. In other Shabads my daughter Keerat Kaur is accompanying me and in some my student Japjit Kaur is also singing. My husband Dr. Manbir Singh makes all the videos for the Shabads. I am not in Canada, I am in Ludhiana, India. My daughter is in Atlanta USA. Gurmat Gian Group is my group. I am incharge of this group and I compose music and train the other members of the Group......

@bestsports1 ... All the Shabads put in this Channel of Gurmat Gian Group are done by me and my group. All the compositions have been done by me and some have been done by my daughter Keerat Kaur who is a computer engineer.

We have 8 CDs released till now. The 8th one, Sarni Aayea ' ਸਰਨੀ ਆਇਆ ' was released few days back. Another new Album of 6 CDs which is a Compilation of All the Sudh 31 Raags of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is also ready and would be released in the month of Nov. 2010.

This tradition of celebrating the monsoons (sawan) by a female singer. It is the Kajri singing tradition and has its roots in Mirzapur folklore of a woman separated from her lover and pining for him. See Girija Devi reditions of classical Kajri compositions, they lift this rendition up and you can enjoy why the Guru Granth has some of the most enjoyable compositions.

If you are aware of Raga Malhar, kindly see the aroh and Avroh and the pakar of this raga and see if what you know of raga Malhar is same or not. It seems that you are not familiar with this Raga Malhar.
