Ron, take my word for it on this: CFL are EVIL. GET RID OF THEM. They are DANGEROUS. They produce dirty electricity, and the fields they create are harmful. They are also chocked full of MERCURY.

If you want a real, awesome light bulb buy LED light bulbs. The light is cleaner, more energy efficient, and they can last up to 20 years. CFL was created for a very, very sininster purpose which is why Congress is trying to cram them down our throat by making incandescent bulbs illegal.

I prefer the light vs. an incandescent. My family does too, and so do most of my friends. The rest are indifferent.

They last much longer than incandescent bulbs; this whole "they shortened what incandescent bulbs say on the package" is fucking horse shit.

The portion of you power bill is not that small. Over millions of users, multi-billions of dollars are saved.

The mercury? A definite hazard, but no where near as dangerous as... that.

Considering the mercury vapors, and the headaches, eye aches, and possible seisures caused by the frequency, I don't think they are worth it. Also, note the fact that the moment they decided to produce these bulbs, they deliberately slowly shortened the life of incandescents from 25,000 hours to 2500. An obvious manipulation.
