What were they counting, the crowd at the west lawn?,the marchers?, at what time?, I was there and the DC police had to shut down entrance to the west lawn because the crowd was so big, if you left to go to the bathroom they would not let you back in. We came in from Detroit and went straight to the west lawn before the march and it was already crowded and a lot of people got stuck in traffic and arrived after the march
DC cops estimate the crowd at no more than 70,000, many of whom were tourists not Teabaggers. Pretty pathetic given all the hype on Faux News. I've seen more people at a Redskins game.
I was there and the DC cops closing off the west lawn said the crowd rivaled the recent inauguration. The west lawn (according to the capitol police I just phoned) will barely hold 65,000 people and it was so full they were letting people in based on the nuber of people leaving that area and the crown extended better than 1/2 mile beyond the west lawn.

What were they counting, the crowd at the west lawn?,the marchers?, at what time?, I was there and the DC police had to shut down entrance to the west lawn because the crowd was so big, if you left to go to the bathroom they would not let you back in. We came in from Detroit and went straight to the west lawn before the march and it was already crowded and a lot of people got stuck in traffic and arrived after the march

I was there and the DC cops closing off the west lawn said the crowd rivaled the recent inauguration. The west lawn (according to the capitol police I just phoned) will barely hold 65,000 people and it was so full they were letting people in based on the nuber of people leaving that area and the crown extended better than 1/2 mile beyond the west lawn.

I'm currently getting an education and I don't agree with Obama. I'm really tired of people pulling the race card. Yes, there are some ignorant people out there simply mad because he's half black. However, the majority disagrees with his plans. The majority doesn't want the government to control our lives. Our constitution made us a land of opportunity and if the government takes over...well say bye bye to your opportunities.

We dont think ALL are racist. That would be a ridiculous claim. Most just find it peculiar that no one stood up & started screaming about "rights being infringed upon" back during the last administration. not to mention the plethora of confederate flags(which also doesnt necessarily MEAN you're racist.. i grew up in the civil war capitol of the country in va so i know otherwise) & racist posters of obama at these rallies, so its hard to distinguish the sporadic patriots from the raging bigots.

I was at this GREAT March and Rally and nobody said or had any sign that ws racist in any way. We're doin what Martin Luther King said and thats judging Obama by his CHARACTER .. NOT the color of his skin.

You're right. Some of Bush's things weren't exactly called for, and we heard from the Dems on that, but he also wasn't trying to mess with health care which is a very scary thought considering how poorly run most gov't programs are. And I'm from the South as well and I don't really agree with some of the messages the confederate flag sends out. However, it could just be a symbol for another "civil war". Who knows these days.

We've had managed care which is bad .. its got govt invovled .thats why you have problems. Obamacare would make it even worse. EVEN MORE Govt. Free market is the answer. Yup. Government involvement usually ends in rubbish. You would think they would learn after awhile that none of their programs work. Free market is what America was founded on. The Founding Fathers would be turning in their graves right now and probably with the past few presidents as well.

I think government needs to be there but it doesn't need to take care of people the way they are; it makes people rely too much on them and not work for themselves. Unfortunately, I'm 17 and can't do anything because I'm living at home, but it is ignorant to believe that government programs work well. There is so much fraud you wouldn't believe it. Besides our carrier always gives us the wrong mail so...yay gov't programs!!

And one more thing, I actually have taken a world religion class-- it was basically every global studies, history, middle east, sociology and polsci class I took). Conservatives believe in hard work, a safety net but NO entitlements, tolerance but NOT special treatment, freedom NOT reliance on fallible humans. The only thing many liberals tolerate are their own...juuust lookin out for #1. And the only thing they WON'T tolerate is tolerance toward conservatives, libertarians, and Christians.
