  • if we keep buying their products etc., they will keep on showing us, this rubbish, skinny people are not sexy to me at all.

  • Some of those models looked like they were about to die. I don't need to like that nor will I ever WANT to look like that.

  • id rather look like what i do now, then one of those stickmen in magazines anyday.

  • im always telling myself: love your curves...but exercise!

and about the magazine stuff, i love the sexy men, the skinny models are downright SCARY! nice vid! ;D

  • Yay! I'm 100% normal lol

  • im 5'4'' and i wiegh 120

  • The fact at 1:00 is one sided. Sure models weigh even less compared to the average woman now but you have to realize the "average" size for a woman has INCREASED immensely from 30 years ago.

  • im 5'10 and weigh 116 :(

  • @XaliroseX What? No frowny face, XaliroseX! You're beautiful!

  • @skybluejellybeans no YOURE beautiful, haha but thank you

  • 0:34 Damn gorgeous that boy is

  • Why do you use American info if your username says you're Irish. Are you irish?

  • I find it frustrating how you can be called fat for silly things.

In high school I was a size 8, 5'9'' and weighed 175lbs. According to my BMI chart I was overweight. However, I rode horses and rock climbed which resulted in additional weight in the form of muscle.

Now I weigh the same amount, but could stand to lose some inches in the waist area. I am now a size 12 and am dieting to get back to a size 10.

Some would say a size 10 is large/fat. And I honestly don't care anymore.

  • It disgusts me because models actually want to look like that for a career. An eating disorder is different because its brought on by this kind of media (pointing finger at the music industry, magazines, etc). Then again, it's our fault for letting them affect us. I'll admit, I'm not the "perfect" body size and I'm trying to lose wait. However, its for my OWN benefit because I don't feel as comfortable as I used to. If anything, do what feels right but not 'cause someone told you it is.

  • around here if you said you fat everyone would agree if you said you were hot everyone would agree so if you have no confidence around here good luck not committing suicide, unless your a hottie but there is no one like that around here so were always battling over who's the hottest that's why we all love but hate each other it's an odd situation ._.

  • 1:09 Yeek, that's scary!

  • and if you look closely in some magazines (People? Us?) you can see the photoshop if you look close enough.

  • omg 1:09

  • I grew up with Barbie (I loved my dolls!) and I was overweight from age 9 to 13, what I would consider to be the most AWKWARD time of any young girls life. It's bad enough I was going through puberty but being fat sucked too. I was also the tallest girl in my class. Now I'm 25, 5'10" and 165 lbs, the same as Tyra Banks and she was called "fat", meanwhile my doctor tells me I'm at my ideal weight. So who do I believe? I'm lucky I didn't develop a complex. Don't blame Barbie! And the media sucks.

  • Its fashion. Its supposed to be artwork. Like a painting. Leonardo da vinci didn't turn in a painting without it looking PERFECT now did he?

  • ehm.. so you are with other words talking crap about other girls that tall? everyone is different. Im 5'11 only 15, and im trying to be good with it, but its not really easy after reading all these stuffs. peace out..

  • @synnelove When I was 15 I was at my full height (5'10"). Even though some girls are over six feet I still struggled with accepting my height. When I wear heels at a club I'm a good foot taller than nearly all the girls on the dance floor. Talk about embarrassing! I'm ten years older than you so I can tell you that you're gonna love being tall one day. I'm proud of my height and would rather be tall than five foot nuthin', even though all the boys love short girls lol ;)

  • @illethereal Thank you, you made my day better! ;-)

  • The whole first minute of this video just made me feel bad about myself. :/

  • I think steroids are stupid for men cause if you want muscle work out, and women well 1st eat right and healthy ill lose weight..dug!!!!

  • I don't see anything wrong with people wanting to lose weight. I'm a teenager and I want to lose weight around my tummy because it makes me uncomfortable, and I want my arms and legs to be strong. That doesn't make me avictim of the media, it makes me a person who sees something I want to change about myself and acting on it. How is this any different from me trying to improve my grades by studying more?

  • im slightly fat and i now do not care wut people think of my weight and im 11 :3

  • part of the reason more models weigh less than the average woman today in contrast to 20 years ago is that more women are overweigh today so the average weight increased

  • It's interesting, isn't it, that the averages on both ends have become so much more dramatic? The average woman is thicker and the body ideal skinnier -- like society is trying to balance itself.

  • @CatWolfee I just mentioned the exact same topic. It really is interesting. The new extremes in variety of the female body also 'gave birth' to a whole new series of issues - both psychologically and otherwise. I for one find it fascinating. However I do find that society in general tends to focus more on the dangers of being overweight/obese, rather than the even more dangerous risks of being underweight. It somewhat shows ideals seem more important. Humans are such odd creatures :)

  • GI Joe is real... he's Channing Tatum <3

  • The fact that today's models are skinnier compared to "normal" women might be attributed to the fact that "normal" women have gotten fatter in the past several years. It's not necessarily that the models are getting skinnier.

  • @doodl3bugg13 When models quite literally die from starvation (something which is common), a large percentage of them end up with an eating disorder and said models are basically told to 'sleep if they're hungry' rather than to eat, it's safe to say that yes, models have gotten skinnier. Unhealthily so.

Normal women also haven't necessarily gotten fatter, it's made easier due to the products available. In several moments during history being overweight or even obese was considered attractive.

  • @OmegaSamaRed "In several moments during history being overweight or even obese was considered attractive." and it still is. beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

  • @barbefried are you male or female?

  • @barbefried I know, whereas I already made that point several comments ago. Regardless, the media creates a basic image as to what they believe beautiful ought to be. Which in turn influences males and females alike to adhere to said image presented in the media.

  • @OmegaSamaRed Neither anorexia nor obesity is remotely attractive. I know what not eating does to a person, and what eating too much does. I'm not trying to justify anorexia, I'm just saying that perhaps the reason for the new percentages has been misinterpreted. In a purely scientific/intellectual way having nothing to do with the topic, simply the numbers.

  • @doodl3bugg13 I'm not saying you're trying to justify anorexia either. I'm merely saying that you're wrong in concluding that models haven't gotten skinnier. In a way you are correct, but both ends - too thin and too heavy - have increased, not just the one. Anorexia is indeed horrible, a close friend of mine has it and another (who just so happened to be a model) died because of it.

It's somewhat sad that so many people have issues with a healthy weight these days, no matter which direction.

  • @OmegaSamaRed Well, that wasn't my conclusion. My conclusion was that models getting skinnier was not the ONLY factor. I agree that a lot of models are much too skinny though.

  • @doodl3bugg13 YOUR sick right, I'm mean seriously model are not even worth giving a second thought, they are awfully skinny and no boobs. The only ideal place for them is to be man-handled dolls. If anorexia turns you on, well have fun with that. this video actually tried to show people the real facts and you are blaming the women. lot of women these days are fat agreed but the normal one are starving themselves to fit in size 0 Chanel. SO GO HOME.

  • @nishyyyy100 I was just stating a possibility, ok? People are more obese than they used to be. And no, anorexia does not turn me on. Number one, I'm a girl, and number two, I've known people with anorexia and it's a horrible, horrible thing. And for you to say models are not worth giving a second thought to is just as mean as saying the same about fat women. Yes, there are anorexics with serious problems, but some girls are naturally skinny as well, you know.

  • i dont care of the models r tall or too thin, becaus ei dont wanna look like that. but what upsets me is the photshops, denying reality, the not acceptance of reality bothers me.. they already have a big production, great lightning.. but still, they have to use photoshop.;. i think its too much

  • @rockisbetter True. I for one can appreciate it when make-up artists spend hours in trying to make someone's face a living work of art. It's what we're humanly capable of. But when Photoshop comes into play they create unrealistic expectations which only increase the problems mentioned in the video.

  • @OmegaSamaRed "when Photoshop comes into play they create unrealistic expectations" and make-up doesn't?

  • @barbefried No, because what we accomplish with make-up is actually possible.

  • I hate how all these videos are putting down girls with eating disorders. how do you think it makes them feel? just as bad as bigger women do ! putting them down isnt going to stop their eating disorder. its time to change that too.

  • @mirandaloves7forever This video isn't putting them down, it's informing you why they have those disorders.

  • Yeh nice video, makes sum good points. People in general, society always needs a focal point, they choose a particular look, person, someone who they can use a role model, sumthing to kinda aim at. Its like wen women go into clothes shops, they see pictures of models, with the figure, and even just average size women, who maybe dont hav that curvy body will use the Image as a kinda focal point, to sort of work from. Thats wot I think they do, modelling does take it too far though.

  • Well being overweight is not healthy at all. It depends on your height how much you should weigh. For example if you're 5'4 and you weigh 100lbs. than you're underweight, if you weight around 130-140 than you're at the healthy weight. Point is too skinny or too big are NEVER healthy for anyone.

  • @ale52dez Not really, like for example my family (the females) are like 5'4 or 5'3 and weigh like 100-115. Our metabolism is pretty slow, but we don't have any eating disorders. Like my mother is 5'4 and 130, because she just had a baby, and she is a size 3 in jeans. And my aunt is 5'3 and weighs 111 and is healthy and normal. And me, I'm 12 and weigh 72, and I eat normal (maybe too much) hehe. But just because your thin, doesn't mean you have an eating disorder.

  • @HugsForeverr no I didn't mean to say there was an eating disorder involved just that everyone's body is different so there shouldn't be just one ideal. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  • the problem is is that America is lazy, girls, if you want a sick body, DON'T starve yourself or look for the quick fix, change. Stop eating junk food and work out, diet pills and not eating aren't gonna help you. be healthy

  • The best way to lose weight is to fight with your in-laws.

  • The best way to lose weight is the natural way. Take out meat, eggs, and cheese. Eat lots of veggies, fruits, and whole grains. And that weight will slide off. The reason we have weight problems in America, is because our meats and dairy products are laced with the very hormones, that make chickens and cows fat. Think about it. If they give cows and chickens hormones to make them fat, and produce more meat. What do think that does to a human body?

  • The skinny ones Look weird i Think im sorry.

  • They say this, yet in the [icture of the half naked women at 3:50, they put the thinest, palest looking girl in front. maybe its just me, but i call hypacrite.

  • I always was way too thin when I was younger. I now finally have hips. Sooooooo happy with them I never want to be that thin again!

  • Another misconception we have is that being thin makes our problems go away. The answer is quite simply, it doesn't. I'd much rather be "ugly" and happy than miserable trying to attain unachievable perfection.

  • There is no such thing as beautiful. Everyone is different but this whole concept of "beauty" has only been brought about by the media. Personally I think we are only attracted to confident and kind people who we get on with. Personality makes you attractive not being thin, having flawless skin, perfect hair and what have you. The media only makes up this "beauty" thing to sell products. Unfortunately, we're starting to believe their lie.

  • depressing...

  • O_O What in the world is going on at 0:35??

  • holly crap im 5'11 and i weigh 117 !!!!!!!!!!! thats fricken creepy

  • Oh right, I forgot to add: everybody is different, but not everybody is beautiful. Get real.

  • @rainbowheydrich True, but the definition of beauty changes over time. There was a time where overweight and even obese women were considered beautiful, mainly because it represented their financial status. In some countries this rule still applies. So women (and men) being fat is hardly something new or modern.

Beauty also tends to be in the eye of the beholder. What is beautiful to you might be ugly to someone else. Some like runway models, others find they look sickly and skeletal.

  • The average woman has also gotten a lot fatter.

  • 117? really? average? srsly? In my opinion I would go for 150!

  • I'm 5'3 and 149 pounds...I'm lovin' it ;)

  • These days the "plus models" are also seen in magazines so I think the fashion industry has opened her eyes already for a little while.

  • 3:22 I'm sorry, 'perfection' in my oppinion was not what she changed to. She looked perfectly fine before, and I'm sorry, but breasts are NOT supposed to look like balloons taped to your chest -____-

  • I'm so glad that people added pictures of men too, because i hate it when people say "women are just stupid for doing that to themselves" or something like that. It's not just us! The media affects you to! And another thing, to all the people who think people get skinnier just to look like people in magazines, that may be a part of it yes, but did you ever think that maybe they're losing weight to be healthier? I bet you didn't...

  • The pictures on magizines are photoshopped i believe... this video is so true it is sad it is almost like all that matters in this world is thiness i believed that at once and now i have a major eating disorder.. the only thing that really matters is living and enjoying it and if i would have done that i would not be sick and a lot of other people.

  • i don't understand how so many women wanna look like the women on those magazines.. they're not even attractive! no hips, no ass, no thighs.. just manly. not all of them but a big portion

  • Being overweight/obese is a problem because of a couple factors, but my impression is that a lot of people are ignorant about nutrition and exercise. Models in the 1950s were closer to "normal" than today's but the average woman in 1950s weighed less. If you eat decently & exercise, it doesn't guarantee "skinny" and that's fine, but people shouldn't use "curves" to justify disordered eating habits and no exercise.

  • I'm 165 lbs and 5'9.5 and I feel beautiful with my curves! I used to be scary-skinny weighing in at 115 but that was because my metabolism was sky-rocketing (had an overactive thyroid). I feel so much more healthier now that it's under control. I agree that in some cases overly skinny can't be helped (like in my case from before) but when a girl mistreats her body by becoming anorexic, that's a different story that the media has a huge part of being involved in. God bless all sizes <3

  • Just going to put it out there that there is such a thing as naturally skinny girls who would kill to be curvier. People need to include girls like that if they're going to try to tell us that 'everyone is beautiful'; if everyone is truely beautiful, that includes all of the skinny girls and if someone tries to tell you that 'everyone is beautiful' is not applicable to naturally skinny people they're being hypocritical. Also, i'm not a naturally skinny person i just thought it needed saying.

  • @greggoryjonah Forreal.That shit is sad.

  • @kayla94brooke I know, I just feel like the whole idea about body image is becoming a bit exclusive towards the people who're seen as 'classically beautiful'. It's like someone saying 'you're prettier and skinnier than me, therefore you're not beautiful'. I know that's not in any way what people are saying, but the message could easily be seen like that. It's as unfair to exclude people for being seen as too skinny as it is to exclude someone for being too fat. I'm glad someone agrees with me (:

  • @greggoryjonah No problem :) I just think if people are gonna call someone ugly or pretty...Whether they're big or small, there's something pretty and ugly about EVERYONE so people just need to pay attention to the good stuff.I hate people who don't even give a "plus size" girl a chance.I don't hardly refer to anyone as fat because sometimes they cant help it.

  • @kayla94brooke I agree. People all have good and bad aspects to them and to judge someone purely on whether they're 'too fat' or 'too skinny' for your liking is just horrible ):

  • 1:08 scared the shit outta me!OMG!

  • I just realized something, the girls that are trying to be skinny, end up looking scary skinny, and you can see their bones. Girls that are naturally skinny, don't look like that...

  • I think the aliens are preparing us for their grand introduction.

  • 5'2 140, run track, vegietarian, love myself. I'm just perfect enough.

  • @ImStupidInTheLove im glad to see some people who love themselves here. <3

  • @MetalElevator I think the main thing is when people get down they don't always know how to get back up. I have that problem too, but I just mainly write when that happens.

  • @ImStupidInTheLove i know what you mean... i have that problem, but regardless, i love myself!

  • everybody is beautiful to someone your beast can be another person beauty so no one got any room to call others ugly when it someone out there that going to thank the same thing about them

  • Everyone is not beautiful. And while the negative body image presented here is accurate, I don't think the response should be to say that everyone is beautiful. Some people aren't. Rather, I would say emphasize the things more important than beauty. You don't have to think you are beautiful in order to have a positive self image. I understand that this video is about body image, and I agree with what has been presented. However that there are things other than beauty is often lost in this issue.

  • I am 5'5 and weigh 150 lbs. Saying this, youd think that i was "big" or "fat". You know what I am? I am beautiful, because I am a confident women. THUMBS UP FOR BIG BEAUTIFUL WOMEN! (to be honest i think bigger people, or people with actual MEAT on their bones are way more beautiful then any SCARY skinny girl, like the girl @2:27, SHE IS ABOSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.

  • @MissJessicaColley i am 5 feet tall and 140 pounds. And i think i am beautiful. rock on : D

  • @youwishyouweresilver You go girl! :)

  • @MissJessicaColley Ty : ) Its not even just that though, I'm a dancer, and I'm honestly healthy. : D

  • @MissJessicaColley SRFU fatty =)

  • @paulomoura2 Im not fat :) Im simply Natural and dont diet for the pleasure of society :)

  • @MissJessicaColley My brother was using my pc, so he typed that. BTW the girl is perfectly pretty, i and bet you are also.

    I ask you apologise =)

  • @MissJessicaColley I'm almost the same as you, except i'm 165 lbs. Hello, world, this is the natural way we grow!

Real women have meat on their bones, and should be proud of it!

Having a booty's better than being skin and bones, freckles are unique and so beautiful, and the ability to accept our flaws is what truly makes us beautiful.

    It's more than skin deep.

  • @MissJessicaColley

Being scary skinny or extremely overweight is unhealthy, one is no better than the other. "Actual Meat", I hope you mean breast and hips because arm flab, double chins and rolls are as healthy as ribs , bony fingers and sunken cheeks.

  • @brittanyverjes1 By "actual meat" i mean people who are not just bones, yknow, curves.

  • @MissJessicaColley Yep, I agree.

  • @MissJessicaColley Im 5'6 and 180 story of my life

  • @MissJessicaColley is being slim a bad thing? well, guess what? i'm skinny and proud:-) what i've noticed is that people try to put down one in order to bring up the other and that spells insecurity! and you know what the funny thing about it is? it's mainly the females who are complaining and trying to prove themselves to each other. that's rubbish... well unless you're a lesbian.

  • @barbefried NO its not a bad thing at all! People who starve themselves for the pleasure of society is what i mean. Most of my friends are slim, and yes im jealous! But thats just naturally how they are! And your very right! Girls put down others to make themselves feel better, and its just aweful.

I didnt mean to offend you, and If i did i am very sorry!

  • @MissJessicaColley (just now seeing this reply) it's fine now that you have clarified what you mean. beauty is in the eyes of the beholder:-) based on the responses that i've read, a lot of persons are jumping on your previous comment. i'm experiencing the same. made a comment and got misunderstood. that's the disadvantage of text!

    have a nice day:-)

  • @barbefried What does being a lesbian have to do with anything :/

  • @OmegaSamaRed i mean, females are very critical of other females and you shouldn't care what another female thinks unless you are a lesbian. get it?

  • @barbefried Actually, most lesbians don't necessarily care what other women think either. Being a lesbian doesn't mean that you're automatically attracted to every woman. Nothing actually 'changes' about a lesbian woman save for the gender she's attracted to.

And women that give into peer-pressure care as much about their female friend's appearance as a lesbian would. Also, not all females are critical of other females, there are those who simply could't care less, myself included ;)

  • @OmegaSamaRed wow... you're not getting what i'm saying. BASED ON MY EXPERIENCES it is women who try to criticize other woman about their bodies. especially when they're insecure about their own or jealous that you can eat black forest cake or cheese cake and not have a thing to worry about *other than diabetes* men usually don't complain as much. maybe it's a different case where you are from. i am from jamaica and jamaican men love women of all shapes and sizes.

  • @barbefried Actually, you're the one that doesn't get it. Nice that you have certain experiences, but so do I. I also have experience in the field of psychology and actually READ about these topics. You're stereotyping and basing your faulty conclusions on less than factual personal interpretations.

Also, scientifically speaking the risk of diabetes most certainly doesn't increase when overweight. It would fully depend on what is consumed and weight doesn't necessarily have to be a factor.

  • @OmegaSamaRed MY EXPERIENCES influence MY INTERPRETATIONS. please oh please tell me where i said that the risk of having diabetes is related to being "overweight"? i wasn't even implying that- furthest thing from my mind. you're reading too much into things. i suppose i hit a nerve:-(

  • @barbefried Perhaps your personal interpretations shouldn't be based on YOUR experience alone. Which basically is the problem. Again, there are plenty of FACTS out there that pretty much make your supposed experiences mostly worthless. By making a reference about women 'having to worry about eating a black forest or cheese cake' you're already making a reference to overeating. Followed by a comment OF YOUR OWN about worrying about the risk of diabetes. Learn to read your own posts.

  • @OmegaSamaRed and that black forest cake and cheese cake thing had nothing to do with over eating. you are reading into things too much. it was about being afraid of eating pastries etc. in the fear that she will pack on pounds. I, on the other hand do not worry about that.

  • @barbefried And the only nerve it's hitting is my tendency to get annoyed at shallow-minded individuals unable to hold a decent conversation without resorting to stereotypes, bad grammar and downright being unable to understand that the world consists out of more than your biased personal observations.

And how does 'being a prostitute' have anything to do with anything? What? Are you accusing people that do know a lot of men in a social way of being prostitutes now? Saaaaaad.

  • @OmegaSamaRed well, if you think I'm shallow minded, so be it. I DO NOT CARE. do you even know what a conversation is? "And how does 'being a prostitute' have anything to do with anything? What? Are you accusing people that do know a lot of men in a social way of being prostitutes now?"- clearly, didn't i tell you to get ready for a REAL stereotype. now you have something to talk about:-)

  • @OmegaSamaRed just in case, that statement about "bad grammar" is for me, here's some more. gyal, lef me alone an go fine supn do. God know seh a try you a try draw me out and me nah go embarass miself. yuh see cause me know seh mi look good and nuh have ntn a badda mi, mi nah go put nuh eediat gyal pon mi mind.

    it's called PATOIS- Google it:-)

on second thought, no need for you to do that, you seem to know everything!

  • @barbefried Also, not all obese or overweight women become fat (or critical about others) due to overeating, nor are all of them insecure. That is yet another stereotype. Women of all sizes and all sexual orientations can be critical of another female, again, nothing changes about a woman just because they're a lesbian. Yet another stereotype.

And clearly you don't know a whole lot of men. They have the exact same issues you know and most certainly do complain about it.

  • @OmegaSamaRed did i saw that all obese or overweight women are insecure? I'm sure that i wrote that women are [generally] critical of other women. didnt specify size, race or sexual orientation. one should not care about what another female thinks unless they are a lesbian i.e. don't be preoccupied with what an irrelevant person says. this is hilarious. how is that stereotypical? actually, i don't know a WHOLE lot of men (get ready for a REAL stereotype) i'm not a prostitute:-)

  • @barbefried It's stereotyping because you're generalizing lesbian women. Yes, you most certainly specify gender, sexual orientation and even size. In pretty much EVERY comment you've posted on this video.

So basically you don't know a whole lot of men, yet you're comfortable in saying that based on the small number of men you DO know, men don't complain as much as women. Your lack of knowledge is astounding. Really.

  • @OmegaSamaRed i said, UNLESS you (plural form of you) are a lesbian you (plural form of you ) shouldn't worry about what another woman thinks. that wasn't a stereotype, that was an EXCEPTION. MY EXPERIENCES influence MY PERCEPTIONS. it's obvious you have some problems, there are forums and support groups out there for people like you, okay?

  • @barbefried Clearly you're unaware about the fact that especially young men suffer from things like anorexia as well, which often also has quite a bit to do with the pictures they see in magazines. And that's fact EVERYWHERE. It's simply not very well known and largely over-shadowed by the issues (young) women have. Which basically means you're stereotyping men as well.

And men everywhere love women of all shapes and sizes. Which basically has nothing to do with the topic we were discussing.

  • @OmegaSamaRed how anorexia reach inna de argument. you a idiot? or you just want supn fi tell sumbody? did not say that men are not insecure, just said they appreciate women. actually, it does relate to the topic where i said that i don't care what another woman says because i'm not attracted to women. wait, let me do this one for you "you are stereotyping lesbians" (one less reply to make) *wink*

  • @barbefried I suggest that before you try to appear like an expert about anything and horribly insult and stereotype pretty much everyone you mention, you get your facts straight and bring more into a discussion other than faulty personal observations.

Also, while men most certainly do complain, society in every country teaches men to keep quiet about it. Not 'complaining' about it generally gets them killed. Hence why the suicide rate in men is well over three time higher.

  • @OmegaSamaRed WHOA! that's ironic coming form someone who wrote "I also have experience in the field of psychology and blah blah blah". "faulty personal observations" ? really, AGAIN i speak based on my experiences. never said men don't complain, said they don't complain as much. not going to go into anything about suicide. and as we say in Jamaica "mi throw mi corn, mi never call nuh fowl" and epitomize the meaning:-) but this was interesting though... nice talking to ya:-)

  • @barbefried Clearly you don't understand the definition of irony. And yes, your personal observations are faulty whereas they're biased and based on ancient stereotypes which have been proven wrong centuries ago. I never said men don't complain, I said society teaches them to shut up and not complain as much. Which is extremely dangerous for very obvious reasons. The suicide rate of men being about 3 times higher than in comparison to women being one of them.

  • @OmegaSamaRed at first i thought this was interesting, but it is just downright annoying. get a hobby:-)

  • @OmegaSamaRed that is why i made the comment about not caring what another woman has to say unless you are a lesbian.

  • @barbefried can you stop stereotyping lesbians or anyone for that matter.

  • @ale52dez i am not stereotyping anyone, and if i did that was not my intention. thank you for responding to me like a civilized person, unlike...

    have a great day:-)

  • @MissJessicaColley well some girls are naturally skinny; girls should just be who they are, whether they are skinny, fat, or somewhere in the middle. I won't call anyone 'scary' looking, because it is doing the same thing to skinny girls that skinny girls do to heavy girls.

  • @MissJessicaColley That ad ALWAYS bothered me. They're trying to prove a point about how anorexic girls see themselves, but at the same time, they're giving everyone the impression that the girl in the mirror is fat. SHE'S NOT.

  • @MissJessicaColley So you're saying fat chicks who can't control themselves are hotter than girls with the body of a Victoria secret model? Allow me to laugh. Only fat girls thumbs up your comment. You got a disease called obesity. It's not hot neither is it good for your body. Start training and get on a diet. For your own sake. And all of us that doesnt want to see a hippo in public.

  • @Isabelleparish so true :) i'm tired of people saying the average girl should be fat or something and that its not normal to be thin

  • @Isabelleparish if i wanted to listen to an asshole i woud fart so piss off

  • @MissJessicaColley

so skinny girls can't be pretty? you're stupid.

  • @Jessimew You're an absolute bitch. You're completely missing the point. Being rail thin isn't healthy, being too big isn't healthy. You don't have to be one of two extremes. There's a healthy medium that people should aim for. Have you ever thought that some people are big for reasons other than binge eating? You're right, anorexia isn't a body type. Some girls are born that way, thin i mean, and they're lucky. But you need to get over your goddamned self and stop spreading the hate.

  • I need to watch this again, loved it!

  • I agree with the Barbie-creep-out comment... Another fact about Barbie: To look exactly like her, your bottom ribs would have to be removed. *Shivers*

This hits home for me. I was called a cow in high school, still called one by people who hate me. I'm a lil over 200 pounds, but my doctor says I'm in perfect health and that my body weight saved my life when I got really sick before. I've got a chest and hips and a lil pudge over my pants, but I'm happy. Mostly German, so it's in my blood. ^w^

  • what I find funny in our class. The skinny women complain how they want boobs. They dont ahve enough bodyfat to have them. I, on the other hand am the largest in our class, weighting in 82 kg, and I have fairly large breasts. And I often think how I would like to be skinnier, liem them. They ahve commented how they would lvoe to have breast like mine, while I would like to have a waist/butt like them. But to gain one, you oftne need to sacrifise something else.

  • Its so funny because they get mad at models for being 117 pounds, and 5'11, That's not even bad my friend eats whatever she wants and shes like 117 pounds and she is like 5'11 people are different.

  • Models weigh 28% less than the average woman?

    Obviously..

The average woman weighs more these days..

  • The music was perfect for this video and I used to be so unhappy with my body but now I love my body. People say Im pudgy but I love my boobs and hips and I am not going on a stupid diet to change just to suit the media and BMI bullshit.

  • Models in magazines never bothered me, because even from a young age I understood that only the prettiest people made it as celebrities, and they didn't represent the population. I was self-conscious because I compared myself to my PEERS.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble... but no, not everyone is beautiful, not everyone is attractive, it's called NATURAL SELECTION.

    Live with it

  • @usagi18 you obviously dont have a clue what natural selection is... you have not succeeded in making anyone feel bad, if thats what you were going for.... you've only made yourself sound like a total stupid, self absorbed asshole :)

    good day.

  • @usagi18 and we are ALL beautiful.

  • @usagi18 even you... even though ugly personalities take away from it.

  • @MetalElevator

Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings... reality is not always kind, but it is real. Don't like it? Too bad, that still doesn't make ugly people beautiful, tough.

And I didn't come here insulting people who disagree with me... who's the asshole now, huh?

  • @usagi18 still you. haha im not trying to insult you because you disagree with me. It was just a really rude comment.

  • @MetalElevator Sorry, I don't find the rudeness in my original comment... reality is harsh, there's ugly people everywhere, they may be good people, bad people, smart, dumb, have qualities and flaws like everyone, but not, they're not beautiful, they're ugly, that's a fact.

  • I don't know about you but the before woman at 3:24 is beautiful. The after woman just looks so disproportionate.

  • A bunch of girls walked up to me one day and said: "Why are you dating HER? She's FAT. Did you know that Hana is 128 pounds?"

Me: "No shes not. Thats a perfectly normal weight. How much do you weigh then?

Girl: 97 pounds. And I follow all the beauty tips in magazines, so would't I be a better option than her?

    Me: Gtfo bitch.

I hate how ads always use girls and guys who are "exceptionally beautiful". I have a frickin 6 pack and it makes me feel bad because I don't have overlarge biceps. Hana=gf

  • i'm sorry it's all of the sudden horrible for me to want to lose weight to feel better about myself.

  • @im2cool2Bcool You shouldn't be losing weight to boost self-confidence. You lose weight to maintain a healthy body, and even then, you can be overweight and totally healthy. You have to learn to be comfortable w/ yourself in any scenario. It doesn't matter if you're 190 lbs. or 115 lbs. If you don't love yourself outside of other's validation, than you're going to be unhappy with your image regardless of how much you alter it.

  • scary video

  • unlike me, guess what i happen to be about "average" and tried to gain 50 pounds eh that didnt work so well but i still gained 12 pounds and happy right where i am at and i see women who are my size in magazines and they all got specialy effect called photoshop and beyond professional make up artists so they look 10 times more beautiful cause if you actually meet a model they look like the average person thank you

  • Heidi was MUCH prettier before surgery,

  • so if steroids is illegal among athletes, shouldn't photoshop be illegal among models?

  • Everyone is beautiful. I dream of a world when ppl accept that, i instantly make friends with people who are general nice and don' care about how i look, Judging people is wrong. About 500 years ago fat was good, it meant u were actually eating....

  • @StarkidDirectioner

Unfortunately, we live in 2012, not 1512

  • STATISTICS ARE FOR FAKE PEOPLE, HUMANS ARE ALL DIFFERENT BUT SOCIETY MAKES US THINK WE ALL HAVE TO BE THE SAME ! BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT MY HEALTHY WEIGHT IS NOT UR HEALTHY WEIGHT WETHER WE R THE SAME AGE OR HEIGHT DOESNT MATTER CUZ WE ALL DIFFERENT. MY WEIGHT MAY BE HEALTHY FOR ME BUT IT MAY BE ANOREXIA FOR U OR VICE VERSA....EVERYONE JUST STOP WORRYING ABOUT HOW U LOOK AND JUST TAKE CARE OF UR BODY IF UR BODIES HEALTHY THEN U SHOULD BE HAPPY AND EVERYTHING IS GOOD..ITS ALL GGOOD :)

  • Heidi looked way better before all those opporations DX
