Just because it uses a start off in the hospital like 28 days later doesn't mean it's a rip off. It doesn't even have the same feel as any other zombie movie I've watched. The director is amazing...so is the story line. This is gonna be a bad ass series!

I just watched a repeat of the premier of this show and it was AWESOME!!! It was so well done! I've never read the comic book so I don't have any expectations. This is going to be one of my new favorite shows. I can already tell.

Well, in the beginning of june 2010 a pilot popped up on my radar for a UK TV show called Pulse. It was bloody awesome, but so far nothing after the pilot episode :-(. Scenes reminded me of Re-Animator, but not funny! I liked it. Played in a hospital... Google "Pulse S01E01" . I will of course watch the Walking Dead.

@Zanelovesfob : I'm a big fan of "28 Days Later" but the "waking up in hospital wtf has happened" thing really began with "the Day of the Triffids" in 1962, maybe earlier, I stand to be corrected. It's an effective plot device to leave the audience as confused as the main protagonist. I would have prefered to see the "28 Days Later" type full speed "zombies", I know, I know, in that film they aren't really zombies but they are more intimidating. But this does look very good.

Having seen pretty much every clip available I am as excited as can be about this show. I hope that they do more field research on how bodies decompose. In the summer and especially in enclosed areas human skin and organs tend to liquify and blacken like Tar Man from ROTLD. I still watch "Tar-Man" clips from time to time and to this day and with the advances in SFX no one has ever portrayed a more realistic zombie character than Alan Trautman did in that movie "IMHO".
