Swords are the weapon you use, axes can do the best out of the tools, but swords are more powerful. Also, get some stone quickly with a wooden pick axe and then you can have tools that will last longer and be able to mine more things.

Not true at all. The game is merely a tool. It's what the Let's Player brings to it that matters. A Let's Player can make bouncing a ball over and over for 11 minutes entertaining with the right commentary.
