@thebladerunner11 Not me seeing as I already know, but many kids these days have got to learn about the music that shaped the future for us all. This music reflects life perfectly and children my age waste their time listening to crap that doesn't have meaning or even make sense, thanks for the reply.

I seen roger perform on veterans day last year in philly and during the show they would put up soldiers who died in all the wars including todays & one of the last ones they showed was his dad eric waters, italy, 1944

@Shotgunner56 thank you some people should need a license to have a computer, jerks, dolts, haters, homophbes, and assorted others who have to post some worthless idea that has nothing to do with the vid. i cant understand it. its like blockbuster by mail, they allow anyone to review a movie and you see posts that are from people who say they havnt sen the movie wtf?? or they give away the ending. why???? glad you arent an idiot and you can ride shot gun with me anytime lol -12 gauge i hope
@Shotgunner56 i hadnt listened to this song in over a year and saw your comments even if it was 10 months old, i agreed with you and tried tp make a point which you are obviously just too stupid to understand. did you look up all those big words like psyche and insecure in a dictionary , SO GO FUCK YOUR SELF ASSHOLE, CAUSE YOU'RE TOO STUPID TO UNDERSTAND THE POINT I WAS MAKING dont bother with a reply shitwad unless you'd like to include your adress for a fist to face metting, scumbag
noo, i'm sorry but it was WWII! they mention in the song "When the Tigers Broke free" that his daddy died at Anzio, a battle that was in 1944. Also if you look up a Roger Waters bio that can be easily confirmed. People might be confused because of the helmets the soldiers in the movie wear, they wore those in both world wars and all the way up until the 1960s i think.
Yes one of their dads did die, but it was WWI. And I'm pretty sure thats the point of this specific song. How the main character Pink loses his father and it helps to build the mental wall around him.
Waters' father was born in 1913, and WWI lasted from 1914 to 1918.
I doubt he fathered a child, fought in the war, and died by the age of 5 : /
It was in the 2nd World War that he fought and died. The war with Hilter, nazis, fascism, bombs falling on London, etc.: all things addressed in the album.
You cant compare David Gilmour and Hendrix... they played two completely different types of music... Hendrix was God with the blues... Page was the Dark Lord of psycadellic... Iommi was the master of Metal... and Gilmour was the best with progressive... They all are the best at what they played...
I beg to differ on that one...Gilmour was a pretty good singer but an amazing guitarist. If it weren't for Waters this album (and obviously many others) would never be the same/as good or even exist! I like Waters better because he has lots of feel and is a mad genius in music.
really i didnt understand this movie untill i seen it high haha...but this is a great movie stoned or not...Roger Waters was AMAZING in this movie...just goes to show you how fucked up things are...
@Unforgottenalways Yes, but what ebow70 is saying (I think) is that the emotional weight of this gives it a better anti-war message than many other things designed to be anti-war statements. It is superior to them without even trying.
@wbbelcher This is not an anti war song.... The song is about Pink when he becomes older and learns of the death of his father. He starts to build a wall with bricks, also there is 3 parts (The Wall, Another Brick in the Wall, Another Brick in the Wall part 2).
