  • I love fishing for pickerel!! I actually hooked into one that was about 2.5 ft + in length off of a small sunfish. I was in a small kayak and i wasn't prepared for that guy, so I couldn't get it into the kayak.

  • sexy fish

  • What the hell's a Pickerel?

  • @690169 Its just like a pike but they can survive in southern bodies of water.. They act just like a bass.. Pretty aggressive too.

  • @MRbassmasterman is there a trailer hook on ur spinner

  • hows the rod holdin up for you? Did it break? i already bought the shimano caenen now i just need a good rod under 100 dollars

  • @rapala1995 That rod broke in like 2 weeks... it sucks. Get yourself an All Star ASR or Falcon Bucoo

  • i catch these all the time while fishing for walleye. apparently they are good eating so i might harvest one next time i hook em.

  • @ilovepears Their smaller relatives, redfin pickerel, are really good eating but they have so many bones

  • nice fish i caught 3 pickrel one day on a spinner and nightcrawlers idk if they went for the worms or the spinner lol

  • these things are everywhere in MA catch at least 2 everytime we go for smallies

  • @MrBassturbater Yeah they are fun to catch! I have only caught a couple this year.. last year I caught around 10-12... I mainly catch them on spinnerbaits and chatterbaits for some reason... I have only caught one on any other bait

  • @MRbassmasterman ya spinnerbaits work good but if ur in clear water u can catch em on anythin. i get most of mine on senkos. biggest i got wa around 6 pnd 3 oz giant

  • @MrBassturbater Wow! My biggest is about 3.5-4 pounds and I thought it was huge lol It was a lake record for a lake thats 26,000+ acres

  • @MRbassmasterman

they like the water cold. plus in the lake i caught it in theres no largemouth so not as much competition

  • @MRbassmasterman wow !!! thats small you sould come to scotland like 6 under is a baby one of my friends got a 27lber (the one day i wasnt there with a camera DAMN) and we met a guy that got a 32lber up north it was like 6 ft long still fun catching the little ones though they go crazy when you hook them

  • @mcknighter23 Yeah, this is good sized.. Lake record is like 3.6 pounds
