I agree with Destapadore's view. I think they just really wanted to set themselves apart from Morbid Angel and Deicide instead of having people automatically judge them as just another band trying to be exactly the same. I know George loves Morbid Angel and Deicide, and sites Morbid Angel as a big influence. Monstrosity probably just wanted to set themselves apart from the pack.

They aren't really bad mouthing them, if you listen to Mark then you would know they didn't want to be put in that typical category in death metal. It's not all about the gore or Satanism, it goes deeper than that.

I wouldn't really fault Corpsegrinder for saying "slash and hack is not what we're about". He was honest in the fact that Monstrosity was NOT about that. He couldn't have known that he'd be joining Cannibal Corpse four years later. it just so happened he joined a "slash and hack" band years later. Which is fine...Cannibal Corpse is amazing, and George has really come into his own with them.

I't not that low, if you look at the Wow video, you can hear that his voice is still quite high. But yeah, his voice got a bit damaged and he does not speak too loud because of the tours. Otherwise he would destroy his voice.

And yeah, Lee Harrison wrote all the lyrics on Imperial Doom. George Only wrote Slaves and Masters on Millenium.

Classic. This footage is actually from the original and first Death...Is Just The Beginning compilation VHS video. I actually own the old VHS. It has other stuff like videos and interviews from Mortification, Hypocrisy, Brutality, Resurrection, Macabre, Revenant and Pungent Stench and a studio footage of Gorefest recording the False album.
