  • Terrible translation but it might give some idea at least.

"Ayıp olmaz mı?" means "Wouldn't it be shame?" not "Isn't it a shame?"

  • love this band

  • amazing song...one of my favorite song from mor ve ötesi.....

    Love from Greece!!!!!

  • can someone tell me what baktiginda annesininde means?

  • @pokerfacedpots man i think u just forgot to complete the sentences.t s like u re gonna say something more :)

baktığında means when u looked, annesi means his mother

  • great song !! they make me wanna learn turkish

    love from greece

  • One great song, my favourite from Mor ve otesi...

    Love from Greece.

  • SKIP THE TRANSLATION PLEASE!!

  • @rama6maiden What you mean with "SKIP THE TRANSLATION"?

  • @Khano87

i mean that its not correct!!

  • @Khano87 he means 'don't mind the translation', because it is just horrible. Terrible..

  • hakikaten şu grubun değerini bilmiyoruz ülke olarak..

adamların her videosunun altında yabancı yorumlar..

  • @10elsaleh bu ülkede kim hak ettiği değeri görür sanata yıllarını verirsin kimse adını bilmez şarkı söylemeyi bilmeyen adamın adını sokaktaki it bilir.pkklıya bi madalya takmadığın kalır orduya 40 yılını vermiş adamın atamasını veto edersin.bu ülkede her zaman işini berbat yapan şerefsizler değerlidir

  • Turkey is the best country in the world. Im learning turkish, i plan to move there one day...mabey Eskişehir...but i love mor ve ötesi this is my favorite song...i think i should record this one next :)

  • @codygreaver92 Eskisehir is awesome!!

  • i m glad you are not only uploading but also translating the song! i really think turkish music is one of the best kept secets in the word of music: great voices, excellent performance, and a beautiful language to go with it!

  • @modibbo0607 Lots of turkish song has likely words. you must listen our Songs' :)

  • @MrPauloMertini

Tesekkurler! I am trying to listen to as many songs as i can... MFO are definitely on top of my list! Actually, after listening to 'Orumcek' by Ozgun again and again until i knew the words by heart i decided to learn Turkish, haha! it is funny to know a song and not understand any word of it.... Any ideas where i can find a translation? :)))

  • @modibbo0607 hehehehehe you Say i love google translate maybe.. do you know Baris Manco. He is Father of Rock in Turkey.. He was Died.

  • @MrPauloMertini

i did not know Baris Manco, but i googled him and he sounds really amazing. i use google translate to translate some of the messages of my facebook friends....but it is not accurate and none of my Turkish friends speaks enough English. :))) I will listen to some of his songs tonight,.. .. take care

  • @modibbo0607 yeaahh ali yazar veli bozar this song really good meaning.. ;)

  • @modibbo0607 if i have enough time i will translate some songs from baris manco.. But I can't promise it to do this. Because Mor ve Ötesi have for me the priority for translation.

  • @MrPauloMertini and Khano87

Thank you so much! i did l listen to Baris Manco and i put his song into google translate.... cok guzel! that is what i like about many turkish songs--- there is a serious meaning to them that a lot of popular music here does not have any longer! But question--- why do so many turkish songs seem to be about unhappy love?

By now i found Beni Anlama, unutmadim, Emre Aydin, Teoman, Ahmet Kaya, --- am i missing any you can recommend ....?

  • @modibbo0607 because we are Turks. I think when we understand the value of our Darling at lost. I guess we do not appear until the barbarians. :)

  • @MrPauloMertini

    tesekkurler. anliyorum. but remember:

when i lost you, we both lost

i , because it was you who i loved most,

and you, because it was i who loved you most,

but of both you loose more than i,

because i can love others like i loved you,

but no one will love you like i did...Ernesto Cardenal

  • we turks may not look like it but we really value the love...

  • @12081985

what do you mean "we Turks may not look like it" ??

besides being a bit obsessed with cleanliness and being somewhat formal and polite, Turkish men can be very charming. and definitely the beautiful blend of east and west in their looks does help. But never having been to Turkey, my experience is limited, haha But how DO you actually see women?

  • well what i mean about that, is that many foreigners see us as a bastards with no sense, but we do

  • @12081985

That is so sad! There is no person better than another except in his religion. Ignore the people who call others bastards. They have no culture, no education and no sense. I grew up in a country where many people had the same bad opinions. Even when i was a child i understood that what they were saying was stupid. My friends love Turkey, and one of them, a Cambridge professor, speaks Turkish very well. Not all foreigners are stupid! :)))

  • @modibbo0607 wtf? foreigners are not stupid period. I live in the USA, and all the foreigners in my class are actually smarter than the whites so nah

  • @zarinaf i think you were missing the point. My comment was about the attitudes certain people have towards Turks, not a rant against foreigers at all. On the contrary, most of my life i have been living in countries where people have considered ME very foreign. I would never judge someone for their nationality, only by the goodness of thei character. :)))

  • @modibbo0607 amen! =)

  • Im actually english but my boyfriend sent me this, its amazing and the lyrics are gorgeous!

  • it doesnt matter if you are english, anyone who loves foreign music are welcome

  • she wore her most fancy, most lightest dress

the boy painted a colorful world

the pitch black doors asked them:

    wouldnt it be a shame?

    are these things so easy?

    wouldnt it be a shame?

  • @asdasvedas kız en güzel en hafif elbisesini giymiş

    oğlan renkli bi dünya boyamış.

    Kapkara kapılar sormuşlar onlara.

    Ayıp Olmaz mı ?

Bu işler o kadar Kolay mı ?

    Ayıp olmaz mı ? :)

  • true translation: is life that hard? what if we refuse to be like them do we get kicked out of the game? do we need an excuse? have we ran out of excuses? it has been such a shame, it has been such a shame.. is life that hard? do we entangle the hidden formed rocks on its way? do we need to catch up? not one rose has been bloomed in our garden it has been such a shame, it has been such a shame...
  • That's real good translation it's getting easier to learn some meaning, but have to say u have to translate more of this touching music... . Go on doing ya best.

  • harikasın! çok teşekküler =)

  • I see a lot of problems with the translation... but still.. good job and thank you for translating.

  • Thank you, really good with both the turkish and english lyrics!

Please do another one with mor ve ötesi!!!
