Brings me back to the days of when I was in High School (Mercer Jr/Sr High School) in 1990, and this is when I was in the middle of a bad school year as I had a teacher I hated. This was also the time I gained my first girlfriend who now lives in Atlanta, GA.
Did anyone notice, near the end, when they were giving away a music prize, you had your choice of CDs or cassettes? OMFG, cassettes? LOL I'm sure I still have most of mine from way back when *sigh*
What were many of you doing in 1990? For me that was a bad part of the year with school and other family related issues with the folks separating. However, that was one of the few good weekends in Feb of 1990!
Thanks for putting this up! I think the jock on here is Lucy St. James, who was the next-to-the-last jock on the air before the format change to Smooth Jazz in 1993. Loved the Johnny Dark voiced sweepers/IDs and JAM jingles that were on here.
Also, how incredible that we hear a twenty-year-old radio ad for a new episode of "The Simpsons" and could still hear an ad of the same ilk today (although it would be much shorter now, because radio stations want to get more, shorter ads into a commercial break).
I was a Freshman at GHS in 1990, and listened to this (and WMMR) in the mornings. Wow, memories :) :)

Good catch. As a half hour series, The Simpsons was only two months old at the time. Meanwhile, FOX canceled Alien Nation the following year.
I'm sure I have Rick Astley on more than a few airchecks from the late 1980s. (lol).
