anyone know the name of an oldskool track i think the prodigy used the same vocal sample in one their tracks of the last album "AND THE MUSIC IN THE HOUSE IS SUPER MAN" its got my head minced for a good 15 years tryin to find out wot the track is i got it recorded off a pirate station in london in 93???
im 14 and i love this music, dnb/oldschool/acidhouse/ anything i love raving!! its a shame my dad didnt listen to this type of music but its still cool to think e used to waer a dog collar leather jacket, going to gigs every weeak and listening to punk music. Wish he liked acid house tho then he would appreciate what i listen to now. I wasnt even born when u guys were raving but somehow this makes me feel like remembering the good days!
@crudnup I was bang into my hardcore, and still am. My daughter's 14 and every time she hears me listening to this I get pure shit about being a chav! I try to explain, but she just don't get it....... the old raves were so good, as AreULookingAtMe says, we''ll never see those times again, and it fucking hurts!
listening to this, no wonder they introduced the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act...imagine hearing this on a massive system with 500 other people fucked on E!
Danced like a tw@t to this more times than I care to remember haha mint tune, gets the room bouncing everytime, there's just something about it that sets it apart
@jackoneout , afraid to say never got to the end of The Breakfast club, usually felt knackered all of a sudden and made my way home to make up some mix tapes from the Pirate stations, could easily have been tempted by Overdose though as i know how difficult it was to accep that the night was over. They were the best days ever and so happy to have been part of this scene.
@jackoneout Ha, ha, do you know the funny thing - I would do Astoria, Breakfast club and all that. Then I could nip back over the road to that big fuck-off skyscraper across the road call Centre Point. I had underground parking directly opposite the Astoria. The sad thing for me, was come Monday morning I would be back at my desk, suffering, and looking out my office window at the Astoria across the road and thinking "only another week to go!"
@strangemartian Ha, ha, I travelled bloody miles to get to Oscar's. Was a brilliant night when they had the whole pier open. Remember being in the Aquarium looking at a manta-ray swimming around. Utter madness!!!
@strangemartian with the pier rocking, I swear it was rocking. I was dancing right next to the speakers in there one night, the vibrations were so intense that when the music stopped I threw up, plus my ears were ringing for 3 days
good times
(public announcement: don't dance near the speakers) lol
words cant even begin to describe the wide range of emotions this tune gives me:
From utterly amazed/goose bumps/happiness/joy all the way to sadness and despair...why the negative? cos I know I'll never have the time from 1990 - 92 again...hearing these (types of) tunes in clubs or the best E with friendly people everywhere was an absolute joy
@AreULookingAtMe 100% spot on son .....back then it was all about peace love & unity every1 wanted to shake your hand have a chat they were the days ...all but sweat memories i`m just glad i was one of the lucky ones to injoy the experience 92/95
I'm old enough to know what this is all about, leave your attitude outside and bring only good vibes into this club. Full stop. I remember when you couldn't get out of the Rollers without at least 1 person wanting to shake your hand. You didn't know them you just loved them!
This was huge at The Astoria , still sounds amazing. I bought this from Blackmarket records but didn't know the title or artist so i asked for "that piano tune" and they knew what i was talking. about
yeah, thats where nookie got the piano line for this one....a classic in its own right
i prefer alot of other nookies stuff over this, but its still quality....this era was pretty solid, not too much bad stuff overall compared with the quality of hardcore/rave these days
def some quality techno coming out from detroit and all over but gone are the days
hi tokyo1crates, do you know where he got that brillant piano line from its' not clear from your posting. All 4 tracks on the vynil are great but this is my favourite.
i just fucking love this tune ,very emotional when you were there and still love it today. Those were the days!when drugs were drugs and music was life
quite possibly the most ultimate euphoric jungle/old school track ever. Never got bored of listening to it once ..... nookie could destroy a floor back in the day
It's good to read these comments and I agree with you all! Probably the best track made in that era. Maybe the best piano rift of all time though! It never becomes boring after all those plays.

i picked up some old 90s hiphop single the other day from a charity shop, some random craziness, but one of the remixes was called 'moving shadow mix'. thats all lol, i would love to know who actually di it though
