I feel bad for the people who lost their lives and for their families. The tragedy could have been avoided if they would have evacuated people when they knew a storm was coming but they didn't. I was there and the fair didn't even try to evacuate people instead they said Sugarland would perform in a moment which kept people form wanting to leave. They should have postponed the concert then those people wouldn't have been standing there when the stage collapsed and lives wouldn't have been lost.

I was in a spotlight tower for this. This moment is the first time i have ever heard COMPLETE silance in this venue, ever. You could feel the emotion. We had several storms moving in, the tour was very nervous when the wind and rain started. but it was a weeping rain, like the angles were crying.

Sugarland has been here before, not my favorite. Many of the crew i have met on other tours. It was luck of the draw that the stage came down for them. The crew were some of the first ot start rescue, after they came too. I helped Chuck, the big bald guy in the vid, he almost broke down which had me close to tears. Don't mock their pain.

Then we tear it all down and stuff it back into the trucks. it was 1230am when we finished. THATS 17 CONTINOUS HOURS. After, the local crew and tour crew hung around the dock and buses talkng and sharing until past 3am. speaking for myself, taking what hours i got paid for vs hours in i made about 1.50 hour. ITS NOT ABOUT MONEY, ITS ABOUT THE SHOW
