  • good one

  • Foreclose on homes only to sell the properties for half as much, it's crazy!

  • Where's my pitch fork and burning torch?

  • A clunker with an HHO boost system would save the driver serious gas money, while getting him/her to more places. Able to spend spare money on the local economy, rather than on mostly imported oil, which no local really profits from. If Oil has a problem with that, they'd better offer product people WANT to buy, and are good for the environtment, CO2 being pretty irrelevant, but some nasty stuff comes from our non-HHO boosted exhausts.

When will the people protest? What's their threshold?

  • Nice that was very entertaining. :)

  • Funny stuff..."Peter Schiff on cash for clunkers" vid is pretty funny too explaining more or less the same.

There is a reason many people drive clunkers: they just cant afford more debt.

Not like they have a choice. ie. "Naw..i dont want that new camry. i dont want that new bmw..they just dont compare to the quality and elegance of my '85 Buick skylark with the broken front windshield". lol

  • Thanks for a very effective and humorous video.

  • Nice!!

  • Rock on FoC!

  • ....."twenty stars"

  • Spoken like my hero Murry Rothbard of Von Mises ! Hip hip hooray!

  • burn down my house to give some people some unemployed contractors some bussiness?? its crazy as hell isn't it

  • Brilliant

  • once again 5 stars

  • You're on the european clinamen. It's here they sell cars here with cash for clunkers contributions. Look at our GDP.

BTW, the WSJ make us know this plus 3.5 comes from cash for clunkers for the 2.2 % (basically American cars thrown away for new toyotas) and 0.6 % from real estate tax incentives, with 97 % of the price covered by a mortgage. More of the same.

  • > It's here they sell cars heere with cash...

    errata corrige:

It's years the sell cars here with cash for clunkers.

  • Yep, Cash For Clunkers was great for buyers, but it will cost all US taxpayers a pretty penny.

It was just a "band-aid on a broken arm".

Now the dealerships are slow again.

  • I love it! I first learned about the Broken Window Fallacy from Henry Hazlitt.

  • Under the theory...... "additional GDP" is the 'silver lining' to clouds such as:

LA riots (cleanup and repair 'stimulus')

Hurricane Katrina (cleanup and repair 'stimulus')

    War (keep those factories busy)

p.s. - Thanks for the kind words everyone.

I was thinking something far stronger

  • Look at those numbers!!! Reminds me when i tired to Recite Pi. :D
