Too bad, team had a great season and followed it up with there worst game of the season in the superbowl-way too many mistakes which cost them way too many points. Once they picked up there game they came back with 3 consecutive touchdowns in the second half to close the game to 34-21. However, they missed all three two point conversions. Had they made those it would have been a seven point game with over 5 minutes to go-could have been the greatest comeback in football history.

There was perhaps the worst call in S/B hx with 6 minutes and change to go when a phantom interference call ruined yet another stop by the Raiders. John Madden pointed out that the call was wrong all the way. We will never know what might have happened in that the bad call deflated the team down to nothing.

u fail to mention the fact that one of those TD's was a Tampa Bay Mistake... In reality ur #1 Offense only managed to score 15 points. our offense had 20 at halftime. Raider fans always wine about how Gruden knew the offensive playbook but don't wanna tak about how bad ur defense played. Gruden didn't know nothing about that defense of yours all he knew was personnel at the most.

Wow-you talk about how the Raiders scored one of the TD's on a TB Mistake-the whole game for the Raiders was mistake prone-missed coverages-blown blocking assignments-missed routes and coverages. Tampa won the game deservedly, but don't be so conceited about it. The fact that the Raiders got it down to 13 points, and could have been 7 with made conversions-just shows how good a team the Raiders actually were that year-considering how lousy and mistake prone a game they played.

I never said Oakland was a bad team that year, and all that shows is how good Tampa Bay was that year to outscore the #1 offense in the 2nd half w/o scoring an offensive touchdown.

Oh, yeah! I forgot that he disappeared before the game! I forgot that. He was the anchor of that O-Line. In the title game Gannon threw 41 passes and was never sacked or barely touched.
