  • Thanks for answering my question, I was wondering if I could make a Ham in the Crock Pot ^_^

  • This was sooo great! I didn't use turkey ham but my family loved it all the same!

  • @Yozi6414 Did you use regular ham then? It just something you can throw in so quickly and forget. Glad your family loved it.

  • That is a lot of garlic, how did the potatoes come out?

  • @GrimSoul66 Just great like they always do ;).

  • Looks very good! Was pot on high or medium. I would like to try that with boneless chicken breasts. Any ideas? I had to laugh; we have the same crock pot! Thank you! Sue

  • Chicken would work too but you might want to season the breasts. I have another simple crock pot receipe for chicken breasts thats similar and easy. I ve been meaning to film it. If you put it in 8 hours give or take or would do medium/low. Half day I would do high. It's all about cooking the potatos. If you do them thin and layer in the bottem they cook quicker. I usually do many more potatos than this and add two cans of soup of choice. Thanks for your comment.

  • I like the way you cook. Yummy!! Have a nice day. Betty, the TooTiredTeacher

  • Thank you. You back to schol season?

  • Monday, teachers start then the following Monday the students will start.

  • you said: idiot cooking... who cares !!! as long as its tasty !!!

  • Well I try and be nice wasn't nice term but just being me. I over think things after the fact.

  • looks good!!

    see ya lady!

    mike

  • Where ya been? Missing ya.

  • 'idiot cooking" i thought i invented that? hummm

  • Yea after I said that I though that was proably politically incorrect thing to say wasn't it? Oh well.

  • no not at all. i thought it was funny, and actually a very creative term. who cares about politically correct anyway girl....i dont. i say what i say and if people dont like it, you know........

  • That look like it would be good. I like easy :)

I like the way you have the basket made up very pretty.

How are you feeling? you seem a little better.

  • When we moved here a dear friend sent us on the road with that basket that bottle of wine which we always shared together stuffed with food. The trip took us two days 12 hour days each of non stop driving only for gas. The food kept us thru the entire trip. We took turns driving we stopped though for night because of the cats. They wouldn't use their litter box in the car. What a trip now I use the basket for decoration and as a banna holder ;).

  • That's an easy one. And it looks like it would taste awesome. I'm doing it!

  • Easy do for sure vary it up to your liking.

  • Well I'm not going to let the cap fall off my garlic powder. Man you poured that stuff on. Have problems with vampires down there much? I guess if everybody has some no one stands out with the breath. :-)

  • Oh no it was fine I really didn't put that much on of anything. I don't want too much garlic eiter but I guess I must be ready for a vampire.

  • That sounds yummy. I also cook with turkey ham. My husband will not eat pork or beef. What I do also with turkey ham is I get fresh snap beans or green beans and have potatoes and a stick of smart balance butter. and have that in the crock pot. I put my ham and green beans in first have the crock pot on hi and then I peel my potatoes or if I use red potatoes sometimes I just wash them and cut them up and put them in there and then of course salt.

  • Sounds great. Your potatos get dne on top then? The ole school has you layer veggies like potatos celery carrots on the bottom. Thinking they take longer to cook. Yea I leave skins on often too just not in this one. Better for you that way.

  • I forgot to mention that I cut up ham in medium slices. My potatoes start at the top but as the beans cook down a little I mix it up. You can also bake it in the oven in a roaster.

  • I also put water 6-8 cups.

  • Thanks Becky I am not getting YT messages hardly. Very spotty nor are messages I am sending out going. YT problem but also have computer problems. Hubby is taking our system down and reloading oh man. Hope I see everyone again soon. WAAHHHHHHHHHH.

  • I hope it works out for you very quickly. Good luck.

  • Kim, that sounds Yummy!!! I'd try it for sure.

I can relate to the carbs thing. I am also trying to cut down. Sodium intake also. Damn PRINGLES!!!!!!!! ;D

I stopped drinking Soda/Pop 3 weeks ago. Just stopped cold turkey, and although I've had an occasional craving, have not given in once. The carbs thing I think will be a bit more difficult 4 me.

    ~Kim

  • Yea I get some carbs in the green veggies I eat and fruit but cut out bread potatos my favorites. I ve dropeed 15 pounds only 20 to go ;).

  • This sounds so good. And not eating for about 12 hours.. isn't helping. :) I love anything cooked in a crock pot..

  • Why haven't you eaten are you ill? Hope not.

  • No, just haven't ate since break at work. I came home and fell asleep after work, then got up and it had been about 12 hours since I ate. :) Not ill at all.

  • I am glad to hear your not ill. I know your working hard and long. Easy for the system to get run down then.

  • ooo

I need to use my crockpot more often.

  • My hubby calls me the crock pot queen because when I worked for years long hours I always had it gong. I love them for when entertain too for keeping stuff warm. I have two but I could use more ;).

  • Mmmm. Yum. Cream of celery soup mixed with the cheddar sounds awesome. Thanks for sharing. hugs, Chris

  • Yea the mixture is really good. Usually I would put in a lot more potatos but since I am fat I not eating many carbs so made the potatos for the man ;) and only used one can. Obviously ou could throw in some other veggies too. Like actual celery onions yada.

  • That looks good to me. I can't eat a lot of ham but I like the flavor. Ham, bacon and sausage always gives me a headache. My husband thinks it's the sodium nitrate. I never eat sausage but I like bacon and ham so I go ahead and eat a little of that from time to time. Oh and hot dogs give me headaches too but I always eat one if I'm at a cookout. You gotta have a hot dog made over a fire at a cookout or what's the point of living?!?! ;) hehe

  • Yea I use turkey ham because I can be "riched" out by ham bacon etc. If meat gets to rich it makes my tummy turn even the thought of it. Yours though sounds like a nitrate issue for sure. My hubby prefers Hormel smoked ham but way more expensive. This is leaner and meaner ;).

  • great cooking video cozzy great job looks good.

  • Thank you Joe hope you got my message. PMs etc. are taking hours a day and sometimes not getting thru.

  • Nowhere in England would you find a tin of cheddar cheese soup! Never even heard of it,, i presume i could use a basic cheese sauce

  • Yes any sort of cheese sause would work. Although depending on the sause in crock pot all day sometimes you have to hold the cheese out till the last hours of cooking. Like if I add sour cream I wait till late in the cooking. I don't know how to explain it to you knuckle head that I am. Dairy though true dairy usually I add an hour or so before eating. Tin of cheddar cheese soup though is whole different ball game ;).
