Yes, I recognize Daniels Station in one of the shots. I think we're seeing a lot of North Mill here, for the most part, just north of the courthouse, maybe? I got a kick out of seeing my dad (Farley Sparks) playing trombone in the City Band!!! :-)
Downtown is to the left and the parade is going to the bridge and over it.
You can ask someone that remembers back as late as 1965 there was the gas station on that corner called Daniels (if I am not mistaken). That is the little white building that you see near the beginning of the video that is house shaped. Standard gas station sat across the street, I think.

I marched in many parades down that same Mill St. in the early 50s as part of the PTHS band under the direction of Jack North. Remember him?
That Daniel's service station was a "deep Rock" station. I believe one of Bill Daniel's daughters still lives in Pontiac.

Actually it seems to be both Pontiac and praps even Fairbury.. I think it's Madison Street in Pontiac.. There :) answered my own question
