  • uhumm,

    voce poderia me dizer?

  • 10 percent rwd? Hardly worth the extra time, money, effort to even consider the idea of transferring power to the rear to make it awd in my page..

  • It's a euro version - you have switch button and available RWD or AWD what you choose.

  • @Mercedes600SEL No it doesn't, it just has a power button (which you can have on the US spec if you move a pin on the TCU cable over 2 slots)

  • dude my awd smokes the shit outa the front driver wheel. maybe this is a jap spec svx with the fixed 35/65 front to rear torque ratio. That would be a bad ass car to have with that option. and yes, there was a fwd version available starting in 94 which cost less, since the price tag was so high on the svx for an early 90s jap car and no one was buying.

  • Whoever says these cars are not AWD obviously doesn't know anything. My '92 SVX LSi is definitely AWD, so whoever doesn't know their facts can get off here.

  • Looks to be a JDM model, which had a RWD bias on the 4WD system as opposed to a FWD bias in the US.

  • its pretty obvious they dropped the awd to reduce weight.....duh.

  • @darkgod1117

    They are FWD cars...

  • @KkF00 uhhh....no they are not. awd. never driven one have you?

  • @darkgod1117

"1994 Subaru SVX: New lower-priced L and LS versions of Subaru's sports coupe debuted this year, with front-wheel drive instead of permanent all-wheel drive."

  • @KkF00 so apparently they did make a few fwd versions....but nobody talks about them. and the statement put on this video is just retarded, when obviously the back wheels are spinning. why make a point about it having a fwd version? The one i drove was a 95, red (which most of them are) and awd. thats all that matters.

  • @darkgod1117

Uh... because thats not normal. AWD all four would spin, FWD the front would spin. They don't make just rwd ones...

  • I've been able to spin all four wheels with the right kinds tyres on. LOL LOL

  • Yeah, I thought ALL the svx models were 4wd? Am I just dumb?

  • @SuperLarryJo yeah they made fwd for 94 l and ls and for a a few years after that

  • @SuperLarryJo

Not all of them, I believe in 94 they had just FWD.

  • why rwd???? and yeah u cant spin them without mods....WAY to heavy of a car.

  • @darkgod1117 A subaru STI weighs in at 3,300 lbs. The SVX is 3400 lbs. Its not that heavy of a car.

  • @pegalis for a car with only 230 hp it is slightly heavy. stock they are slow. few small mods and they are beasts. the worst thing about them is actually the trans. once thats replaced it isnt too bad at all. Must say the sued interior is very awesome.

  • @driftalotapus Have you had any problems with the transmission? I'm thinking about buying a '94 w/104k miles.

  • @DudewithdaShades if you buy an SVX, flush the transmission, put a Long Tru-Cool transmission cooler, and a Perma-cool transmission filter. It's all together $400 but it's going to give you great reliability.

  • @SeeSp0tRun or stick in a stick

  • four wheel squeel madafuckas haha

  • i lived in canada n japan in 90s. the best of svx comes in when raining n cruising on high way or curves in mountain area. so smooth . hard to find another one like this smoothness. stable n comfort ,so rare a sports car can give a driver confidence when in bad weather condition.

  • man just like the svx my friend crashed : / i miss it

  • what kind of exhaust do you have???

  • Nice svx

  • wtf? rwd?

  • awd?

  • @viktord1 10-90 with 10 to the front wheels

  • @viktord1 you can take a chip out and make it rear wheel drive why people do it! i have no idea, i love the fact that it is all wheel drive.

  • @CaliMist18 does it have an open diff in the back? kinda seems like one tire fire.

  • bout to buy a 92 svx with 160k for 2000$, tranny was rebuilt in '04, new water pump, p/s pum, break hose, radiator...no leaks..engine went thru odb1 diagnose...seemed fine...interior is mint no holes no tares..non smoker...can anyone please tell me if its worth buying it...or will it cause alot of problems...would really appreciate a reply...thanks.

  • i have one exactly like this, it has 90k miles on it and it runs great, its like a little tank, i got it for about 6 grand and its a 96'

  • Great car. I love my '96, but it's a bit pricey to keep running, especially as they age. It didn't have a very large production run, so parts are pretty expensive. When it runs, it runs great. When it breaks, it's pricey. It's a luxury cruiser, so off the shelf, don't expect WRX-type performance.

  • Hell yeah Subaru SVX, flat 6 boxer. But needed a factory manual transmission. And can't you just get a transfer case that would let you put it in 4wd or 2wd?

  • Nice nice Whip.

  • could never do that in my 92 , and if your svx trans is stock you shouldnt either cause it is one of the most sensitive sport tranies on an awd car , notorious for failing , im on my 3rd trans since i purchaced the car and im not even a rough driver

  • This is due to overheating. Upgrade you tranny cooler and you might not have these problems. Also think of a 95 tranny for your car. These trannys aren't as weak as some think they are. They aren't the toughest around but they aren't pieces of this so to speak....

  • my 5 speed svx can do that but not as cool as that... mine is 50/50 power distribution.

  • It's REAR WHEEL DRIVE. Converted. A stock AWD SVX cannot burnout unless it has shitty tires or no grip with the road. The AWD system is designed to PREVENT wheel slippage. FWD SVXs could shatter the front differential if they spin hard enough (though my AWD with no center diff has survived).

In other words, don't try this at home. (:

  • lol a stock svx has enough power to do this....very nice tho..

  • caraalho...

    fortinho hein?!

  • What the? That is not a normal SVX... No way could I ever spin the rears (or any wheels) on mine on dry pavement. Or even wet pavement. It took snow to get that effect :-)

  • You got a problem there Bro !

  • Interesting that the back wheels could spin so easily, a manual conversion with a failed centre viscous coupling?

  • That's one mean SVX, what's under the hood?

  • awesome!

  • Very Nice Man :)

  • Hahaha isso é Tadeu Brocchi !!!!

  • Good Lord! Wish mine could lay down the rubber like that...

  • Holy fucking shit. What was done to this SVX?!?! Turbo? Supercharger? Nitrous? What?

  • Looks about right for a RWD conversion.
