When I listen Messiaen music all my body disconect and I fell so good.like...like a dream...Iplay Free jazz but Messiaen work be diferent of all the music that I listen . ( sorry for my english I'm from Spain) Enjoy the art of the music my friends. =)

There are many complex short notes, so it is helpful to read Messiaen's score for the playing.

until the middle of 19th century, it was originally natural to playing with reading the score.

I wonder you know that, even S. Richter is famous for playing often with the score.

Memorizing is of course necessary for the playing, but playing without score is a stereotyped idea, especially complex music composed in 20th century.

Most impressive, this girl's really got it- in the moment as well as some sense of architecture, as eludes most pianists. Love the fast birdsong sections, genuine Dionsyian inwardness the likes of which are rarely heard today.
