  • Perhaps, God needs to be redefined. Are we expecting God to be in a form we would like to see in the sky? Then we may miss the point. Actually, there are many things that are invisible to our eyes that later somehow somewhat discovered such as atom particles.

  • This never happened! It is an urban legend. An outright lie from religious propagandists!

    snopes(.)com/religion/einstein.asp

  • this is stupid. now you know Evil does not exist, but does God ??? no one said.

  • @sRembrandt it insists upon the notion that if evil does not exist, then nor should doubt in God for that same reason; still it6 is stupid albeit nicely executed

  • @KMutlu17 god does not exist...friend.

  • @sRembrandt I never said that it did; y dont u just stick with art Mr.Rembrandt...friend

  • @KMutlu17 i may think again...and say : this video is cool...nice...religion is manipulation...gods do not exist....warmth is a sensation...gods are stories injected in children heads ..they grow up and foolish their children...religion is much to be talked. ( excuse bad english or weird synonymes please ). sir.

  • @RandomConcepts The word "kid" is evil LIKE YOU!

  • @JOS5190 And you're evil too.. I say everyone should set you on fire, kid.

  • DOES PENIS EXIST

    ?????

  • @Cl0ud0 Penis is the absence of a vagina. I don't have one so i must have a penis. therefor, it exists

  • @Licardo7 NO

  • Does hot exist? In fact hot doesn't exist, we understand hot is in reality the absence of cold. Does ligh exist? No, it's the absence of darkness. So does God.....I dun dare to say otherise God will punish me, send me to hell.....I just can praise him bcz everything he gives is uncountable and full of kindness...

  • It was of course a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal god and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me that can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it The idea of a personal god is quite alien to me and seems even naïve. Albert Einstein, 1954

  • He did say this and it was recorded, he believe in God to but you are going to say he didnt

  • I really wish there weren't so many copies of this piece of crap all over YouTube.

The story in this video DID NOT HAPPEN.

Einstein DID NOT SAY THESE THINGS.

    LOOK IT UP.

  • i am claiming victory.

  • Comment removed

  • 1.) Einstein was a deist

2.)You don't really understand infinite, do you?

3.)Einstein would, and so would I. If a teacher is going to claim something like that, he shouldn't talk out his ass.

4.) If you say that God doesn't exist, you are the one making the claim, which means you need proof.

5.)This video doesn't say there is a God.

6.)Einstein didn't believe in a personal God, like Christians do, so to everyone in the comments saying things like "God is love.", Einstein doesn't agree.

  • Comment removed

  • again, you don't seem to understand what infinite means. you should really look it up.

actually, he might. i don't see why you think he wouldn't. when he was younger, he believed in a personal god, if i am not mistaken.

as for your response to 5, by that logic, unicorns must exist, because we have an absence of them all over the planet.

  • Comment removed

  • "Which means he believed God existed."

not necessarily. the universe is absent of a large range of non-existent things. absent just means it isn't in a certain place at a given time. that are non-existent, which would mean the are also no where, are absent in reality.

as for infinite, something c an be all powerful, infinitely powerful, and not take up an infinite space. it depends on what part of something you are calling infinite.

  • Comment removed

  • "Infinite could not take up infinite space? Therefore its not infinite."

is that what you got from what i said or are you purposely misrepresenting me?

"An infinite entity is gonna take infinite space."

that depends on how you define god. i never said anything about that, all i said was that infinite doesn't take up infinite space. ever heard of all-knowing? how about all-powerful? last i knew, knowledge doesn't take up space.

    cont...

  • "infinitus, a, um = without terminations = everywhere."

again, without termination=/= everywhere. there are many things that can be infinite that do not take up space.

    "no discussion."

apperently there is. you can't just make a claim and try to say "see? i'm right, your wrong. done." without first hearing my response. you sound like a creationist when you do that.

as for your fuck spree, i noticed that, through the immaturity and ignorance, you used the "No True Scotsmen" fallacy.

    grow up.

  • the wisdom of a child..

  • oh man i love that kid.. thanks for posting this..

  • Yes yes... this kid is right!

  • If god is love, then this kid is right. If god made religion, there wouldnt be hundreds of them.

  • No, its not brilliant.

Google: " Einstein Proves God Exists

    By David Emery"

  • brilliant kid!! AMAZING

  • Einstein did not believe in a personal god!

  • Yea that's a great argument..... Exept for the fact the bilbe says Satan is it the root of evil, which tears apart your argument

  • if Satan is the root of evil, then his being is in the absense of God. YOu can question why God allowed evil to exist. If you do, think about whether it is real love if a barbie doll is programmed to say "I love you." Is it actual love? God loves all that he created. That is why everybody has a choice of being with God or not.

  • great video.though a lot of faulty logic exists. the law of causation is erroneously understood (the creator doesnt necesarily be like the created). further, the attributes of the spiritual are equivocally posited to the physical/material (God, evil vis-avis Cold and Darkness.NEVERTHELESS, I BELEIVE THAT GOD AND EVIL EXIST BUT THE FORMER NEITHER CREATED NOR CAUSED THE LATTER.

  • the vid is well done, but god is just the absence of intelligence.

  • Nice try at humor.

  • Since no one seems to have found any evidence Einstsein actually said this, let's look at an actual quote of his on the subject at hand.

"I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it. " (1954)

  • Then why would he say what he said in the vid?

  • He didn't say it though. That's my point.

It's dishonest to suggest a famous person said something to support a point of view when they 1) Never did say that and 2) actually had a contradictory point of view on the matter.

  • How do you know he didn't say it? I mean if what your saying is true they sure took a lot of time to just make something that was fake.

  • If Albert Einstein had said this, it would have had to have been documented by someone but these words accounted to him do not appear until this commercial was created. A group called 'Snopes' have already looked into this, I have researched it as well to be certain of the false claim.

Why did they use him and spend all that time and money if it wasn't true? I had an effect on you didn't it?

    Welcome to Advertising.

  • Your saying advertising is always fake? What the hell? I don't know what you mean by having an effect on me but in reality I don't see why they would waste their time when someone could prove them wrong and just make them look bad. You could be right just unlikely that all.

  • "I don;t know what you mean by having an effect on me...." ... "You could be right just unlikely that all."

That's what I mean by having an effect on you. You're just believing it because they are telling you it's true. You're being lied to but you don't really care because you like the 'idea' of it.

  • Why would you be having an effect on me about something that doesn't even matter that much to me?

I just told you it probably is real I mean if the ad was made by an educational group then that is probably a trusted source. If this is a fake I still win because it really is not that important to me. If it was important this would be on the news and I wouldn't have to look into it.

  • Does anyone know what the music playing in this video is called?

  • Professor: "Well, It looks like i don't have a class of retards anymore.... doesn't it, children?"

  • Does anyone know who created this video. It seems to have a signature at the end, but I can't make it out.

Snopes says it is ficticious. Too bad if that's so, as those promoting religion in schools are in essence lying to do it.

Can a liar know God? Does God need a lie to support the fact that he exists?

I'm really interested to know the source of their info for attributing the debate to Albert.

  • New moment new ideas advertising agency for a social movement in macedonia

  • Not sure if it's been mentioned but the ironic thing is that Einstein did not believe in a personal god.

Nice choice for an academic. Not grand to represent Theism.

  • god can not be all loving and all knowing at the same time.

  • Of course he can he is also all powerful.

  • no. If he is all knowing then he knowingly creates evil people who do bad things or don't except him but then he punishes them for their acts or lack of faith with eternal suffering in hell. God is all knowing so he knew these people were going to be evil and that he would punish him so why would he create them unless he wanted them to suffer. Thats not very loving. God can be all loving but not all knowing or he can be all knowing but not all knowing - which is not a god

  • THE PROFESSOR GOT OWNED BY A KID..

  • @warcry14 actually the kid i think its einstein..

  • @warcry14

Sorry, this video is a lie. This never happened, and Einstein was an atheist.

    snopes(.)com/religion/einstein.asp

  • The absent of heat is like the absent of God.

The absent of light is like the absent of Satan.

Cold and darkness does not exist.

This video proves that there is no evil.

    No need to be saved.

    circular reasoning.

  • The absence of light leads to darkness

The absence of heat leads to coldness

Coldness and darkness are a result of the absence of light and heat.

To be saved from darkness(Evil) you need light(God),to be saved from coldness(Evil) you need heat(God).

So you need to be saved by God.

Evil is a passive form of existence like darkness and cold, thus light always beat darkness and darkness has no power against light, sum all the darkness of the world and that can't beat the light of a candle. Bingo

  • So you didn't really understand the video

  • Baloney. This never happened. Get your facts straight before trying to co-opt the name of a great mind like Einstein. Search for Einstein, evil and darkness on the Snopes website for the truth behind this crap.

  • why would atheist researchers...want to prove that one of the brightest persons that ever lived...proved a professor wrong on this subject? they wouldn't...

  • Emmanuel: It -never- happened. Get it? This is bullshit, pure and simple. Seriously. You shouldn't blindly accept what you're told without looking into it yourself. Hell, don't blindly accept that what I'm saying is true - do some research first. You might just be surprised.

  • owned you stupid prof!

  • That kid sounds like he's egging the professor on by the way. 0.o if that really is einstein, that's so cool.

  • It's not surprising how many atheist vs christian comments there are here. Almost every video on youtube with such topics have them. Sigh.

Let's just enjoy watching these videos shall we? And stop blaming the ills of society on the other side.

Debates are good, but make them worthwhile.

  • all of you guys believe in what you believe i believe in what i believe so try not to make me think he's not real (:

  • So following this argument, God's love does not reach all parts of the earth? The african child that starves to death does so because God doesn't have the power to reach that child? Rape victims receive no help because God doesn't have the power to help? This puts a huge dent in the christian god's omnipotence. How could such an impotent being be the creator of our universe?

  • That's not following the argument. Evil is the abscence of God's love. Greed, corruption, rape seems more 'abscence of God's love' than lack of God's omnipotence.

It's not that God's love doesn't reach everyone, but it's the abscence of God's love in humans that create this apparant failure.

Clearly, with so many starving and raped, humans are struggling with the "love all" concept.

Christians (and others) are trying but it's a bloody big task! May I ask how you're contributing?

  • I'd say your god is not giving the starving child, the rape victim or a prisoner of Auschwitz or any other person in suffering a very good reason to believe.

As for my contributions: I'm contributing in the same way that other people who have a shred of empathy are contributing, and I can damn well do without being put inside your parenthesis. At least I don't need the promise of paradise or the threat of hell to do good.

  • I meant no offense with the brackets, sorry that you took it that way, should've just gone without it. Never knew that it was such a crime yeouch.

You say you have a shred of empathy, but never mentioned anything solid, woudl you care to elaborate on that?

Also, the Christians I know seem to do it out of a genuine love for others, heaven and hell are really a side note from what I've observed.

What's your opinion on that? What if Christians are serving out genuine love? Any difference?

  • So what if I were to give as many examples as I could fit within the 500 character limit, what would be your point? Are you trying to turn this into a charitability contest? What difference would it make whether I've sold all my stuff and moved to Africa to help starving children or not? Where are you going with this? I'm trying to deconstruct the argument for an all-loving, all-powerful creator, a claim I argue doesn't hold, and you're trying to distract from this by making it personal. Why?

  • Also, I'd be interested to hear how you intellectualize the thousands of deaths that have come about due to natural disasters like volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis etc. How are these examples of the absence of your god's love in humans? Are atheists to blame for the thousands of people, including innocent children, that were buried in ash in the city of Pompeii, for instance?

  • Is there documented proof that Albert Einstein actually said this?

  • Nope. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's completely made up. There are different versions of this story on the internet and some don't even mention Einstein. Most likely, they used Einstein's name to give more credibility to religion, which is pretty lame.

  • i DO beilive that God exists. and is this real? did albert einstein really say that? is so cool!!!

PEOPEL HAVE DIFFERENT RELIGIONS AND DIFFERENT VIEWS. I BELIEVE TO STAND UP FOR MY RELIGION. MAYBE A BETTER TITLE WOULD BE. IS GOD EVIL? i am not critiziing ur name.

  • everything is ENERGY. GOD created the universe. everything in the universe is ENERGY. God is simply POSITIVE energy - or LOVE!!! whereas - evil, satan, bad, killing another human being, etc.. = NEGATIVE energy.

Jesus lived LOVE - put forth POSITIVE ENERGY - which is why he was GOD in the FLESH!

constantine, roman empire - the elite today - all infiltrated / created RELIGION, slapping JESUS in the face w/ their pagan, sun worship to control us!!!

    truthknowledge. com

  • OWNED SON.

  • Owned!! by that einstein

  • hmmm, Is there anyway to verify this? I'm not saying it's wrong, I wouldn't be surprised considering Einstein was a fervent believer in Theism as a Child. In fact Einstein was a fervent beiever in God as an Adult as well, though an impersonal God, he was very contentious to Atheists and I wouldn't be surprised.
