I read in the newspaper that the guy held up his arm to shield the girl and thought, "Aw, what a gentlemen!". But here in the video it looks like the guy fell, the girl took the beatings and fell next to him and on top of his left leg after that. Then the guy holds his arm up to shield himself from one cop while the girl holds her arm up to shield herself from another (0:07 - 0:13). Gee, what a disappointment. :P

Just sad that a large part of a nation would start a riot because of – wait for it – a hockey match.
In case some people didn't know, you can win a match, and you can *lose* it as well.
There is absolutely no valid/acceptable reason for a large group of people to behave like this. I would argue that monkeys are more civilized, than people behaving like this.

To think of Vancouver as a humble city dosen't appeal to me, besides this is not that kind of riot...terrorism is not involved here or the police would of severed many a casuality. Nevertheless it dose baffle me that the police didn't uncircum to a high number of injuries. The loss was most unacceptedable too, I mean to think we could even get a goal for the hometown fans...Boston did it
