  • @69madreckless lol they could have drawn her abit more attractive than slutty

  • @goldensolder44 doris' features are described different in the novel from what i've been told and supposbly D was passionate with her than distant. in the anime he's actually more stoic and reserved compared to the novel..

  • @AMIRAHHAVOC D is still very distant in the novel. The reader can tell that there is an underlying passion for her, but he never really explicitly shows it.

  • @mwp88 in the manga i know D kisses Doris, but i'm not quite sure on the novel if he does.

  • love the movie, but did anyone ever realize the size of her head... i seen big heads but damn!

  • Sooooo much better than Bloodlust.....and the soundtrack is just magnificent!

  • Are the novels similar to the movie?

  • @goldensolder44 Read them and find out, they are really quick and really entertaining.

  • 80's anime seemed to be darker than today's anime, wonder why that is?

  • @goldensolder44 Is it?

  • @goldensolder44 i wonder that too

  • R.I.P. Toyoo Ashida.

  • "Coming soon on DVD!"

  • I disliked this one for some reason... but I really loved Bloodlust on the other hand... think that animation is what got me away from the movie... 'tho I do realize that it's movie from 1985 so it's normal/great for the time it was made...

  • What is the song playing at 0:20

  • I have seen this movie and i say to u all look at him u wont be sorry.Even if it is a old anime is one of the best i saw in my life.Trust me this movie worth he's time.

  • yeah, america is famous for its highly sophisticated anime series like the chuck norris adventures stories.

  • @tranquilityjoe ahha yeah exactly !

  • This trailer is amazing! I had no idea that somthing like this could come out in the 80's....at least not in America.

  • @setustraight Are you joking? all the best anime was made in Japan not in america dude!

  • @GOTIKOVenom I said that it is too original to be American.

  • @setustraight ah ok but it is a japanese/american anime

  • are there any other animes with this seriousness and ass kicking? with great stories??

  • @XDoomriderX Fist Of The North Star... same creators...

  • i just bought this movie great movie

  • that metal music really messed up the mood of the trailer....

  • Great movie. I would love to see this in like a 4 part live action film.

  • Are you fucking retarded?

Are you new at Anime or something?

Dude there not even the same at all ,so how the fuck can you even compare these two?

  • Classic. I watched this and Bloodlust as a "double feature" recently, and as awesome as Bloodlust looks, about half way through I just wanted to watch this one again.

  • this one is far better than bloodlust

  • i don't think so

  • i havent seen Bloodlust im hopeing my friend down louds it for me

  • old school anime, gotta love it. I got started with the serious stuff at 14 and god to relive it.

  • ffs

his name is D AS IN "VAMPIRE HUNTER D" as in the the title of the movie as in the title of the sequal "VAMPIRE HUNTER D BLOODLUST"

in future go to google if continue to ask pointless questions

  • i saw this and wiked city on the same day and they bothed rule! p.s i'm olny 13 LOL!!!

  • i really hope you dont grow up to be as disturbed as the rest of us

  • LOL srsly. Soon this kid is going to be a gore hound like all of us. :D

  • this is the first movie, it was far better than bloodlust "because the humans were not winning" so the story is far better, but the animation quality is not as good as bloodlust

  • Far better? Perhaps for the sake of anime nastalgia, or 'old-school-ness,' yes, but bloodlust is a much better movie, both in its story line, music, characters, voice acting, and most noteably, in quality of animation. I didn't care much for the first movie at all, it was just one bloody mutant hacking scene after another, and D's voice didn't fit him at all in the first film.

For what its worth, I have the first book and it's a great read.

  • yeah i know the first had a lot of hack and slash killing, but i found it better than bloodlust coz it was 1 against many, and the hunters where not winning

then jump onto the 2nd movie he looks and sounds awesome, but from the getGo the vampires are losing and dieing out, so when you put D into the mix it feels like a single horseman of the apocalypse against a few ant's no unpredictable twists it felt shorter and more than a little disapointing

  • This movie rulesz! Vampire Hunter D really rocksz! :)

  • gee, the girl's skirt is so short

  • i watched this movie for the first time when i was about 3 haha

  • Awesome!!

  • Music in this trailer is by Mad Capsule Markets. Some hardcore funky Japanese rock group

  • One of my favorite animated films of all time. :)

  • Same here. I recommend reading Kikuchi's books.

  • Does anyone know the song in the first movie "Vampire hunter D" not Bloodlust. Right at the end when he's leaving the girl and her brother, just like an instrumental??

  • A True classic.

  • Nice vid, I love the actual movie too!

  • that´s very terrible..

    sorry...

  • well, bear in mind that it's the series, not the movie. series are never as good animation as a movie! i must say, though, i would like to get my hands on this -- it's got a lot of history that's not covered in "bloodlust". anybody know where one can find the original movies?

  • As far as I know there's no series. Only two different movies. Vampire Hunter D and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. All the clips in this were taken from the first movie, which was made a long time ago, as compared to Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.

  • hmm. didn't know that. thanx.

  • No problem. You should do yourself a favor and get your hands on the first movie. Animation is worse, but the storyline is better than Bloodlust's.

  • cool. danke.

  • This movie was produced in 1985!!! For that times it was really a GREAT movie in Japan! However, if you want to know D from the start i suggest you to read the novel (17 book with 300 pages each). Recently (2005) an english publisher started to publish them...now they have reached vol. 5 or 6. I bought them on amazon!

  • yeah, i remember some of my old friends who started reading them. i kinda read over their shoulders on occasion. thanx, tho. and they're good, riiiiight? :)

  • Yes, i'm just reading the first, it's pretty cool. However it has a lot of unused words. I'm italian so i must read it with a vocabulary. But that's not a serious problem, since i can understand it however.

  • that's pretty tuff! where r u from in italy?

  • I am gonna agree w mysterytom on this one... sucked to watch 1/2.
