Do you believe that you are above angering people? What makes his (or any) response, however angry or mocking, any less genuine than what you have to say? Why do you deny people the right to be angry by assuming it isn't a legitimate or valid response?
I would not tell someone that their anger is not genuine; I only ask why. Where does it come from? Anger is an abberation of communication; it seems to appear when we are not saying what we think or feel. When we let the emotion build inside.
