@MrDurcon actually it occurs because when a magnetic field passes through a conductor it generates an electric current and when an electric current passes through a conductor it creates a magnetic field. The magnet falling through the tube is generating electricity in the copper which gives it a magnetic field. SCIENCE!
Does the same thing happen if you drop a piece of copper down a magnetic tube?
