Quoting Melora, "I was dealing with, not so much about her but just the pain of aging... watching someone age, and how that person might feel himself. Losing their mental power, Alzheimer's..."
She' actually amazing live. I've seen the band 3 times, each time with different members. My favorite was the first with Jonathan and Zoe, but Daniel and Catie are quite talented and fit seamlessly (I was also surprised at his melodic vocals)
No, Rose Kennedy didn't have Alzheimer's. She had emotional issues, so her family had her lobotomized....which left her incapable of caring for herself. She lived and died in a hospital after that.
Yes she was! She had it in 1941, the doctor was Dr. James W. Watts. I believe Melora calls it her "Alzheimers Song," but neither Rosemary Kennedy, or Rosemary F. Kennedy ever had Alzheimers.
@smellslikechildren1 Uhh I was replying to the comment about daniel's singing. He sings in Melora la basilica, so it shouldnt be too surprising. But yeah I know, I read up on her lobotomy. She says "We used to refer to this as our alzheimers song but that was too depressing so we call it our incontinent song".
"Alzheimers*** yeah thats bad that i could not never spell it right don't tell my boss

Lovely song as always.

ummm... Rose Kennedy (the mother) did have Alzheimer's. Her daughter, Rosemary, was lobotomized. This song is about Rose Kennedy, not Rosemary.

can anyone tell me what this song is about?

This song is about Rose Kennedy who died from Alzheimers, though I guess it could be about anyone stricken with the disease.

haha you havent heard the melora la basilica cd then.

@Rosky12 It's about the lobotomy of Rose Kennedy. Melora was being facetious when she called it her Alzheimer's song.
