I WAS THERE! Right in front. True fans were singing OOOoooOOOoo... not Rararara and they kept it going even when people tried to drown their voice by their hoots, claps, etc. Sang my heart out those 6mins- James even smiled and opened his heart and let the energy flow. It was like being high on music, he best evening ever! AND yes i am from DELHI! Music knows no boundaries ...Like if you agree.
The rock capital is Bangalore..Bangalore was also the first city in India where internationally popular rock groups Iron Maiden, The Rolling Stones, Bryan Adams, Scorpions, Sting, Aerosmith, Elton John, Deep Purple, Metallica among various other heavy metal groups performed live for the first time in India. And we are still going strong!!
I m fckin so so jealous....... travelled to delhi frm mumbai to watch dem.....but bcoz of fckin DNA , i was not able to make my bucket list shorter........ i jus hope dat dey com bak again nd nxt time bangalore it is......
I was there...and been a metallic fan for the last 22 years. I have to agree that this certainly wasn't the first time a crowd has so favorably reacted to the song, as in the singing without James prompting. One can even see a similar response from the crowd at Abu Dabhi, just 3 days ago I believe. The experience, however, was priceless!
This is done in EVERY Metallica concert! This is a well known sing along to the MEMORY REMAINS. James EXPECTED the crowd to sing along. Its not like the band waas shocked or whatever. THey love watching their fans sing that song and everytime JAmes has that Beaming face on him when he watches them do it... U guys seriously need to watch more metallica live videos! Stop being all obsessed abt boasting abt your country or your crowd
@bhavnish22 well look, i've seen quite a few videos, and the memory remains does involve a lot of singing by the audience, but i've rarely seen it continue for so long after the song was done
maybe you're right, it's possible that it occurs quite frequently, but as far as i've seen, the crowd doesn't sing once the song is done, or james rarely encourages the crowd to sing after it's done
@Ananth22by7 I could start posting hundreds of links of videos where the crowd sang as loud and as long as this..but forget it.. You guys enjoy the show
@kallol1983 Im not even from India. You guys should check out Rock in Rio videos and the Live in MExico DVD for Memory remains. Its not like Bangalore was the first crowd to do that. I know it was amazing but stop acting like you 'shocked' Metallica
@bhavnish22 I AGREE BRO..... I LISTEN 2 THEM WHEN I WAS IN 2ND STD... 89..SANDMAN....IMAGINE IM 29 NOW AND THEY ROCKED AS USUAL THEY ROCK ACROSS THE WORLD......TO THE FAR MOST ,.....IN INDIA.... THEY STORMED...... U DISGREE??
@bhavnish22 Luk Mac, I was there.. & i've been seeing metallica live videos since long back... & we definitely know that its nothing like we shocked them or something..
But I was there (I Doubt if u've ever been to one) & u cannot deny that the experience was Effin Awesome!! I actually wanted to beat the rio & mexico crowd... But some choots stopped the thing by clapping even before james prompting to stop!!
Talica wasn't expecting the kind of response BLR provided. We treated them as God's n they promised to return, @ their age the energy they carried was awesome, they played their heart if u ask me. ll b there when they return...
best day for Metallica fans in India. I was there... cud not feel my legs and neck after it was over.... clear indication of how much we all jumped and head-banged! I wish i cud re-live that day everyday and more. Thank you for the upload dude! This was just pure energy and sweet musical high! Metallica please come to Bangalore again!
Lucky Dogs !! Got to hear metallica Live. Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Nirvana, AC/DC, LP, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Metallica..........is what we called music and a very lucky few gets to watch them live!!
I sang myself to DEATH. Fuck, what a day India was LOOOONG overdue. Too bad the delhi shitfucks screwed it up for themselves, feel bad for the real fans out there - some of who made their way to Bangalore! What a day, what an amazing crowd! Thank you Metallica!
@slaughtered777 No need to make fun of any other cities Mishap..its unfortunate...Our city sucks or worse in administration as Delhi...(I just knw the cocky attitude of the Bangalorean with is uncalled for...)
Really tons of thanks for uploading this video... I just cant believe... that moment was amazing when 40000 metallica fans were singing together and the music had stopped... i still remember that look on james's face... the best crowd ever!
We would have sang the complete song...............we almost sang all the songs with James...........trust me a kick ass show.........Metallica would nvr forget this concert
metallica was awesome they enthralled us with their epic performance and we stunned them.. I haven seen hundred of covert videos of metallica singing memory remains.. and they let the crowd sing ra ra ra ra... well in bangalore they were stunned wen the crowd kept singing ra ra ra ra ra for ever... there was suprise on James Hetfeilds face... Metallica u rocked,,, and we showed u why we are the rock capital of india
@TheStrangerUnknown Except for the Delhi\Gurgaon crowd. They beat the hell out of the stage and they had Metallica running for their lives. They were too scared to perform. People were so disturbed that they would wrecked each member of Metallica after all this.
No offense but Bangalore crowd didn't even knew Metallica's stage antics. They knew the song but that wasn't enough. For example the Oh Yeah! stuff Hetfield did was normal but they didn't even saw it coming. Hetfield does it everytime.
@shankey08055 it isnt about whether he does it everytime or not. He was there right in front of us and his words and voice were reaching our ears directly and not thru any video or tv. thats is the reason for response. and anyways you cant expect us to be silent if he tells OH YEAH !!!!!!!
@shankey08055 : What matters is where the show finally happened! If Delhi/Gurgaon crowd beat the hell out of the stage and made Metallica run for their lives, ITS NOT A POINT TO BE PROUD OF! And more over, who said Bangalore didn't know about Hetfield's antics? You must be lame to make a comment like that! Rock show isn't about making the musicians run for their lives! No offense but DELHI CROWD PUT A BLACK MARK ON INDIA AND ITS CAPABILITY TO HOST BIG EVENTS!
@TheStrangerUnknown You don't speak like a metalhead so I don't think you deserve a reply regarding your full comment.
Making rockstar life hell is part of being a fan. Loving a person music doesn't mean you gotta love him too. Like you can love Megadeth music but we all know how awful is Dave Mustaine as a person. People threw beer cans at Freddie, tried to cut Hendrix hair, etc is all part of the fanbase but I guess people(u know who) don't know about it cause they are new to rock.
@shankey08055 Really? I don't speak like a Metalhead? :D hahahaha :D Big time loser you sound! I've been to more Rock concerts than you can imagine! Ever been to Rock Am Ring? Ever heard of it? I've been there! Not once, but thrice! No one is asking you not to make their live hell. But make it once they start their gig! What great do you achieve by not allowing them to play? A youtube comment saying that I made sure they didn't play makes you the biggest Whining Rock Fan EVER!
@TheStrangerUnknown Yes you don't speak like a Metalhead. No Metalhead use the words like Country's pride and all. And on top of how can you call yourself a Rock fan when you talk like this. You make John Lennon's life go in vain if you talk like that. Country, religion and region come on.
@TheStrangerUnknown Being the capital of India delhi has much crime rate as compared to any other state or city in India and in that case such stories happen for some international concerts thats really shameful! Although we rarely get to see such concerts in India and these things are happening
@TheStrangerUnknown I am from Delhi and I am in Bangalore regarding Job and I was present at the concert in Bangalore I am happy that the thing happened here successfully but Don't blame the crowd of Delhi without knowing what happened there my frnds were there nd told that the total mess happened there because of the organizer and not the crowd I am sure if the organizers were same in Bangalore this could have happened here as well !!
@shankey08055 I might as well as come and smack you straight down . These are antics which we have seen a thousand times in their other concerts.. it was too good to be true to be happening to us. You even go on to quote lennon and then say 'bangalore crowd' does not know. You retard get your act together instead of being a pretentious moron.
@avimadman You write bad English and you repeat things already said by others still you call me retard? You are such a moron who got all things in the order you read it. Lennon stuff came out in the end. Do me a favor by not making an ass out of yourself.
