@MrGidi123 1st: sc8e is much faster, better, stronger. 2nd: sc10. 3rd. Blitz. 4th. slash. slash is more for bashing. the sc8e is a basher and a racer the sc10 and blitz are racers and a bit of bashers. i was looking to get one of the sc8e.
Why is everyone so nasty to each other about this. I like my Traxxas e-revo 1/16 vxl, but I have an HPI monster truck w/ a .15 RTR that I just STOLE for 99.00 COMPLETE. MY SC10 hangs low like that so the rear-end doesn't leave the ground on every obstacle. You can adjust the shocks for on-road and it will NOT drg the ground.
It's a great deal when I want to go electric I use the traxxas, if I want to go gas, for 99 bucks if the HPI explodes, I DON"T CARE!

yeah umm. i was racing at the track today. and my STOCK sc10 was out preforming and out power a STOCK slash with a 8.4 lipo. i was running like a 3600 mah..... the sc10 is quickk!
fully charged, each lipo cell is 4.2 volts, dumbass, 3.7 per is the minimum before the cell starts self distructing...thats why a 7.2v lipoly outperforms a 7.2v nicad/mh, because its actually pumping out 8.4
Nope. It's 3.7 Nominal Voltage multiplied by two making 7.4. 8.4v is what the maximum charge is. It gives 8.4v but only for a short period after being fully charged and stabilises at about 7.4v before dropping at the end. The minimum voltage is 6v. This is where they become dead and in most cases can't be brought back. Setting cut offs to 6.4 (3.2 per cell) is ideal for longevity.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
are you really calling me the dumbass, when you are UNAWARE what lipos make what. team orion sells a 8.4 lipo. SO GO GET YOU FACTS AND SPECS AND COME BACK LIKE A BABY BACK BITCH AND START TALKING AGAIN CAUSE I KNOW YOUR BITCH ASS WILL SIT THERE AN LOOK IT UP TO PROVE ME WRONG. -_-
wat. Lipo's are 3.7volts. It can't change. Maybe your thinking a 8.4v NiMh pack. It's just that it's not possible. It's already been stated that LiPo's reach a voltage of 8.44v (at best) during the charge, but then the voltage levels to 3.7 volts per cell, and then should be cutoff at 3.2v per cell or you risk overdischarging the battery. Anyway, I'm kind of dissapointed about how many people don't know about Lithium batteries. If there is a 8.4v lipo, link me, I'd be intrested in getting one.
OK you guys whos better? (stock w/ no modifications) I am about to puchase one of these but I can't find ANY specs that prove one is better. The Traxxas owners swear its better and vice versa. Are thyere any non BIAS opions from a nutural person or testing agency? I am not experienced enough to know what to judge product quality and/or durability. I could use some HELP PLEASE. (I can't afford to buy both!)
dude are you fuckin kiding. go to a lucas oil off-road race and you will see that the sc10 is 5 times more realistic. i race that series and you need to learn your facts
It depends on what you have in each vehicle. If I'm running a 4s2p lipo and a novak brushless in my SC10 then your slash might have a tough time keeping pace. the same can be said in reverse. it also greatly depends on the driver. don't beat on a new product unless you know what you're talking about.
the sc10 isn't realistic, it slides around and looks like a extended t4 with a pretty body with slick tires, slashes are way moe realistic if you get a new limeted edition body
dude...the SC10 is a extended version of a Rc10t4 with Corr truck wheels and body. The slash is a mix of the rustler and the stampede with a corr truck wheels and body. Assoicated has ALOT of national titles under its belt. The T4 is a pure racing machine and so will it's brother...the SC10. The slash is just a basher.
if it comes down to it both the slash and SC10 arent that realistic and both are pretty much just converted trucks !! the slash is a stampede rustler mix and the sc10 is a t4 with the obvious differences but WHO CARES ???!! if you like it, buy it and run it n shut up !!
I race 2wd mod. and have very good skill. I have the SC10 and run it in our new class called SC10/Slash MOD. I ran 10 5000 Reedy packs with a novak ss pro 8.5 On in door med trac clay, and I had every one saying wow that thing is fast doing all the big jumps and draging mud flaps all the way down the straight.. Never seen a slash DO THAT!
whats with the music and slowing things down? I'm more concerned about seeing how it handles in real time. Since when does a new body create a new class?
Yes Traxxas built a very durable truck in the Slash but the SC10 is based off of the proven T4 based truck which I guarantee will handle better I was just saying not putting down your trucks enjoy them....
BTW i have nothing against traxx...I own 2 ruslters and a E-maxx. They don't even compare to the quality of a Associated product. You get what you pay for in this hobby. I'm just tired of seeing products like Team Losi Racing and Associated called garbage b/c you have to buy electronics or you can't throw them off of bridges and except only a bent hingepin. Traxxas isn't the only brand out there, just can't compare a basher to a racer.
How does a traxxas not compare to the quality of an associated product? i thought throwing something off a bridge and not having it break ws a good thing. and traxxas has a good history of racing behind them, especially with the revo.
The Slash is a basher, The Sc10 is a race truck. The Revo doesn't even compare. The last traxxas race truck that was built was the SRT...which to this day is an amazing truck. Traxxas got it right back then. What I said was people shouldn't think the AE are weak b/c you can't throw then off a bridge without it breaking.
In the terms of quality, the AE is better but for a race track. Yes the traxxas are tougher but look how thick the parts are which equals a heavier truck. You just can't compare a basher to a race truck when it comes to racing.
I guess I'm mostly disappointed because I was expecting a complete new truck, not literally a T4 with scaled down bumpers wheels and bod from the SC8. At least the Slash had some proper engineering go into it as far as the suspension and the chassis are concerned. I'm pretty sure the majority of use were expecting a 4WD vehicle.
In what way is the slash's suspension engineer and chassis proper? The slash uses the same parts from the rustler/stampede. The chassis is the only thing different. The SC10 is the same as the T4 but has a extended chassis. The difference isn't comparing the the slash/Sc10 but the rsutler and the T4. The T4 is simply more advance then the rustler...but the rustler is alot tougher.
from what I have seen the slash uses the same arms. Springs aren't really a issue as they can be easily change. The Sc10 uses the same parrts from the T4 except the chassis.
I don't believe it will be better than the Slash and definitely not as durable . It looks as though the suspension is stiffer than the Slash . It does not have the realistic handling of a CORR truck like the Slash does . I am disappointed they didn't make it a 4wd .
Looks realistic to me. The rc10 platform is amazing. This truck has the same advance suspension design like the T4. This truck is built for one thing...competition on the track . The slash was built just to support the CORR trend traxxas has invested in in the 1:1 scale world.
It was made to compete with the Slash at the track. If it were a 4X4 there wouldn't be a class for it like the SC8. I'm disappointed reading on the AE site it comes with so little in the kit for the same price as a Slash. I know the Slash because of it's price had new racers at the tracks and that is great to see. Now these will be in the $500 range till you complete one. Being more of a AE fan than Traxxas I must say I know alredy you're not going to see many out there. Speak up here AE fans!
it's only going to cost about 180-190. For 100 more you can have your electronics. AE isn't doing anything wrong with this release b/c AE builds competition vehicles. AE knows racers are going to buy this.
What receiver, servo, and speed controll is going to make this roll for $100? Fleabay junk I guess. Mute point if the slash guys are going to cry foul anyway.
you're correct...fleabay. But why buy junk electronics for a high proformance vehicle anyways? What about spec racing? Let the slash people have that SLASH spec racing and let everyone else with SC10 have their normal spec racing like any other class would.
Most tracks including mine will not let the SC10 run in the Spec slash class . If the SC8 had of been 1/10 4wd Electric , there would be alot more of a class for it . just my .02
no biggy. I prefer mod brushless racing anyways. The SC10 or the B3/T3 and B4/T4 can't even run the traxxas titan 550 without any mod done to the motor plate. The titan's bushing is so big that the motorplate will not alway the motor to pass through...without and modding done to the plate.

depends on what class your running, but as just a basher i would go with a 6 cell NIMH battery or a 2 cell LIPO.
pyromaster55 2 years ago
i have the sc10 rtr and i run a reedy 4200 6-CELL. i get about 15 min run times
MrSandman619 2 years ago
yeah umm. i was racing at the track today. and my STOCK sc10 was out preforming and out power a STOCK slash with a 8.4 lipo. i was running like a 3600 mah..... the sc10 is quickk!
22770259 2 years ago
Whats an 8.4 Lipo? I was unaware that LiPo's came in anything that was not 3.7 volts per cell. Dumbass.
krabby8333 2 years ago
fully charged, each lipo cell is 4.2 volts, dumbass, 3.7 per is the minimum before the cell starts self distructing...thats why a 7.2v lipoly outperforms a 7.2v nicad/mh, because its actually pumping out 8.4
Fureinku 2 years ago
Setting cut offs to 6.4 (3.2 per cell) is ideal for longevity.
benhoobio 2 years ago
About 2 minutes of 4.2 volts, then the cells settle to 3.7 before a set LVC cuts in at around 3.0-3.2 volts per cell. Get it right, bro.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
are you really calling me the dumbass, when you are UNAWARE what lipos make what. team orion sells a 8.4 lipo. SO GO GET YOU FACTS AND SPECS AND COME BACK LIKE A BABY BACK BITCH AND START TALKING AGAIN CAUSE I KNOW YOUR BITCH ASS WILL SIT THERE AN LOOK IT UP TO PROVE ME WRONG. -_-
22770259 2 years ago
If there is a 8.4v lipo, link me, I'd be intrested in getting one.
krabby8333 2 years ago
you cant use it in a 1/10 scale application though. So I do believe you are wrong.

Thank You

dude are you fuckin kiding. go to a lucas oil off-road race and you will see that the sc10 is 5 times more realistic. i race that series and you need to learn your facts

i didnt say anything about the realisticness of the sc10 i just said the slash is tough

Can I put the roll cage from an Associated SC8 or SC8e to the SC10???

i run a 10.5 in my sc10 and a 40s lipo and its stupid fast.

I am running a 5700kv castle creations witha 2s 5000 lipo
proRCkid 2 years ago
the slash is alot better then the sc10
proRCkid 2 years ago
It depends on what you have in each vehicle. If I'm running a 4s2p lipo and a novak brushless in my SC10 then your slash might have a tough time keeping pace. the same can be said in reverse. it also greatly depends on the driver. don't beat on a new product unless you know what you're talking about.

lol ima get a sc10 i got a slash already and i like it
bigdog813 2 years ago 3
slash looks really bulky and the sc10 looks alittle more realistic i think ima get both to
gibsondude973 2 years ago
the sc10 isn't realistic, it slides around and looks like a extended t4 with a pretty body with slick tires, slashes are way moe realistic if you get a new limeted edition body
slashracer111222 2 years ago
ooo i was just looking at the body but i guess the preformance isnt that great
gibsondude973 2 years ago
dude...the SC10 is a extended version of a Rc10t4 with Corr truck wheels and body. The slash is a mix of the rustler and the stampede with a corr truck wheels and body. Assoicated has ALOT of national titles under its belt. The T4 is a pure racing machine and so will it's brother...the SC10. The slash is just a basher.
lastpally 2 years ago
if it comes down to it both the slash and SC10 arent that realistic and both are pretty much just converted trucks !! the slash is a stampede rustler mix and the sc10 is a t4 with the obvious differences but WHO CARES ???!! if you like it, buy it and run it n shut up !!

Would those rime fit on my RC10GT? please help!! someone.

Big air that ends up landing the truck on it's rear bumper is not that sweet. Truck looks money though.

yeah looks like the driver just gave it a little too much throttle at the last second lifting the nose higher

good to see some competition to the slash, be interesting to see how each fares against the other.

Impakt RC has it listed for 199.99. Plus I put in a bottle of CA glue, so I get a $20 discount. Already placed mine on pre-order.
acalthu 3 years ago
Yes Traxxas built a very durable truck in the Slash but the SC10 is based off of the proven T4 based truck which I guarantee will handle better I was just saying not putting down your trucks enjoy them....
dravengary 3 years ago 4
I am glad Traxxas started this class of truck with the Slash... Now Associated can DOMINATE IT !!!!!
dravengary 3 years ago
I doubt it. The slash is still bigger and way stronger.
acalthu 3 years ago
this is a cool truck but should be 4wd not two.
xxaxnxtxhxoxnxyxx 3 years ago
yea copy the slash why dont you, only dont give them anything but a rolling chassis for a shitload of money. go associated...
CoonBabble 3 years ago
what motor does that come with
xmoder23 3 years ago
The SC10...doesn't come with any electronics or motor.
lastpally 3 years ago
BTW i have nothing against traxx...I own 2 ruslters and a E-maxx. They don't even compare to the quality of a Associated product. You get what you pay for in this hobby. I'm just tired of seeing products like Team Losi Racing and Associated called garbage b/c you have to buy electronics or you can't throw them off of bridges and except only a bent hingepin. Traxxas isn't the only brand out there, just can't compare a basher to a racer.
lastpally 3 years ago
traxxas**** correcting mistake
lastpally 3 years ago
How does a traxxas not compare to the quality of an associated product? i thought throwing something off a bridge and not having it break ws a good thing. and traxxas has a good history of racing behind them, especially with the revo.
acalthu 3 years ago 2
The Slash is a basher, The Sc10 is a race truck. The Revo doesn't even compare. The last traxxas race truck that was built was the SRT...which to this day is an amazing truck. Traxxas got it right back then. What I said was people shouldn't think the AE are weak b/c you can't throw then off a bridge without it breaking.
lastpally 3 years ago
In the terms of quality, the AE is better but for a race track. Yes the traxxas are tougher but look how thick the parts are which equals a heavier truck. You just can't compare a basher to a race truck when it comes to racing.
lastpally 3 years ago
I guess I'm mostly disappointed because I was expecting a complete new truck, not literally a T4 with scaled down bumpers wheels and bod from the SC8. At least the Slash had some proper engineering go into it as far as the suspension and the chassis are concerned. I'm pretty sure the majority of use were expecting a 4WD vehicle.
acalthu 3 years ago
In what way is the slash's suspension engineer and chassis proper? The slash uses the same parts from the rustler/stampede. The chassis is the only thing different. The SC10 is the same as the T4 but has a extended chassis. The difference isn't comparing the the slash/Sc10 but the rsutler and the T4. The T4 is simply more advance then the rustler...but the rustler is alot tougher.
lastpally 3 years ago
The slash uses dual rate springs and different arms doesn't it?
acalthu 3 years ago
from what I have seen the slash uses the same arms. Springs aren't really a issue as they can be easily change. The Sc10 uses the same parrts from the T4 except the chassis.
lastpally 3 years ago
Its not even out yet :-/
tazeat 3 years ago
useless AE changed the motorplate just for this truck.
lastpally 3 years ago
unless***
lastpally 3 years ago
I don't believe it will be better than the Slash and definitely not as durable . It looks as though the suspension is stiffer than the Slash . It does not have the realistic handling of a CORR truck like the Slash does . I am disappointed they didn't make it a 4wd .
anemul266 3 years ago
Looks realistic to me. The rc10 platform is amazing. This truck has the same advance suspension design like the T4. This truck is built for one thing...competition on the track . The slash was built just to support the CORR trend traxxas has invested in in the 1:1 scale world.
lastpally 3 years ago
It was made to compete with the Slash at the track. If it were a 4X4 there wouldn't be a class for it like the SC8. I'm disappointed reading on the AE site it comes with so little in the kit for the same price as a Slash. I know the Slash because of it's price had new racers at the tracks and that is great to see. Now these will be in the $500 range till you complete one. Being more of a AE fan than Traxxas I must say I know alredy you're not going to see many out there. Speak up here AE fans!
gr8racing 3 years ago
it's only going to cost about 180-190. For 100 more you can have your electronics. AE isn't doing anything wrong with this release b/c AE builds competition vehicles. AE knows racers are going to buy this.
lastpally 3 years ago
What receiver, servo, and speed controll is going to make this roll for $100? Fleabay junk I guess. Mute point if the slash guys are going to cry foul anyway.
gr8racing 3 years ago
you're correct...fleabay. But why buy junk electronics for a high proformance vehicle anyways? What about spec racing? Let the slash people have that SLASH spec racing and let everyone else with SC10 have their normal spec racing like any other class would.
lastpally 3 years ago
Most tracks including mine will not let the SC10 run in the Spec slash class . If the SC8 had of been 1/10 4wd Electric , there would be alot more of a class for it . just my .02
anemul266 3 years ago
no biggy. I prefer mod brushless racing anyways. The SC10 or the B3/T3 and B4/T4 can't even run the traxxas titan 550 without any mod done to the motor plate. The titan's bushing is so big that the motorplate will not alway the motor to pass through...without and modding done to the plate.
lastpally 3 years ago
it may be better than a traxxas slash but they cant say they had the origional idea! hahahah
