This was my Grandaddy's favorite bible hymn. He died when I was about 9 years old and to this day I miss him like crazy. I was his pride and joy, and hearing this song makes me think about him, and the little southern church I grew up in that still to this day plays traditional organ and piano bible hymns from a book. I am now 21 years old.
@bethany1292b I've been a Baptist for 65 years - different churches - and the basic arrangement of this is the same as it was then. Of course, this group adds a lot of different embelishments but it's the same old tune. I should have also said these were Southern Baptist churches.
I knew the Baptists think they have a monopoly on heaven, but I didn't realize they also had a monopoly on this song. Oh, brother....go figure. Spare me!
This is great!! I love the jazzy spin on it. I played this for church a few weeks ago but never thought to jazz it up like this. Keep sharing your talent:)
I love this song ! It is so good to hear a lot of the old time Baptist hymns I grew to love and can sing the words to. Beautiful rendition. Thank you for sharing.
This is awesone. Thanks guys for sharing your talents! Another note also, NOTHING, I mean nothing can beat the sound of a Kawai piano. I have played all kinds in my lifetime, and the Kawai is SWEET!!!!!!!!!! Sondra
@sondrasmusic For its brilliance, always, jazz musicians prefer the Kawai, while those of the classical persuasion, usually, one of the other brands.
And, preference sometimes has to do with customary usage and price—the ear acclimates to that which is of common use, and what is of common use may have to do with price, the Kawai being one of the less costly brands.
In all, we can be thankful that, there isn't a "the best" brand—and, would you not agree?
I would love to know if these guys write their own arrangements???? If not, I'd love to know are these Mark Hayes arrangements or what? They are tremendous -- both the arrangement and the performance. God has truly blessed these individuals.
It's because they're two different piano players performing a piano duet on their own pianos on the same stage...There are TWO people here; no haircuts or change of suits!
I've listened to this dozens of times and have concluded it is the most magnificent rendition of any song I've ever heard in my 55years. I wish there was a CD for purchase. My prayers are with you. Thank you for a great blessing.
Wow, you dudes are Awesome!

Is there a video of this talented man playing "There is Power in the Blood"?
If there is not, it is a request and I think he will do an incredible job at that song.

The most amazing part is when he changes his suit and gets a haircut a minute and 50 seconds into the song. Kidding...I don't mean to be irreverant.
