Lol I remember that day. Someone got blown down the bring me men ramp there and was stuck down there for a few hours because there is a gate at the bottom.
I love the last comment on the video. If you are a fourth degree I know your hating it probably even more right now with just over 2 weeks till recognition. Hang in there because soon there will be new basic cadets coming in who will get beat instead of you! Be strong and be proud of yourself and your other cadets!
poor fourth degrees. they are the only ones falling, you can tell cause they are all holding their bags. and "attempting" to walk on the tiles. My brother is currently attending the USAFA=]
it was after 10pm, i had to get across the tzo and back in about 20 min for some school thing, and the winds were already howling around 30 knots (you can't hear it that well in the video) -- the snow was stinging... it was a ridiculous night. not as bad as the next morning (which is when the other videos were shot) with the winds sustained above 45 kts, gusting to 60, with the tzo 100% frozen over. i didn't/don't really hate it, but there was some bitterness flowing at the time... :)
what is the tzo? This video is so hilarious. I'm going to the AFA in Nov. and I really hope everything isn't slippery yet like that or I'll fall on my face as well XD
FYI, none of you have any clue. Let the academy tell you what you want to hear about pilot slots. Second, The AF chief of staff was not an academy grad. Third, the only advantage the ring gives you is experience with the proven step-by-step process on avoiding sexual harassment lawsuits. (Sarcasm but still, you shouldn't talk about things you don't understand)
Lets not forget they do 5 years of college in 4 and do that without TV/radio/cars/2 visits home that first year if that! Unlike ROTC who takes the easy road. Or OTC. In the end its the one with the "ring" that gets the perks.
Actually, taking ROTC is easier, but not necessarily the "easy road". It takes a lot of effort and determination in ROTC to get a pilot slot as there are a lot less given to them then USAFA. Also, those with rings get the perks? First off, that's not really true. Case in point - the FOUR STAR that is currently the commander of Air Mobility Command is an ROTC grad.
Thanks for the video, I had a great laugh.

It takes these clowns FOUR years to become so-called officers. Anyone else...3 months.

They also have a bachelors degree to show for it.
Let's not even start talking about quality of officer.
