When I paint highlights using the layering technique, if I add enough water to make the paints transparent (in order to have smooth transitions) the paint ""pools"" into the cracks and crevices. How much should I thin my paints down?? I use GW and vallejo paints
@JoshRocker1990 If it pools thats ok. for transparent layering(a video will be coming soon about that by the way) i generally use about 3-4 parts water to 1 part paint. The only thing you HAVE to remember, is to wipe excess paint off your brush. this way you are able to control how much you put on the model. my general rule of thumb is, wipe off, till no more paint comes off the brush. There will still be paint on the brush, but just the right amount! Try it let me know how it goes!
thanks these videos helped alot. this is kind of an annoying question but whats the song?
