Wow.....He is an inspiration. And I think his feminity is very rare and a desired physicality in the dance, for I'm sure any man could act as masculine as they wanted to, but it takes skill to perfect the skill of being able to be gentle, yet strong, fragile, yet powerful. Keep going Sui Rui!
My comment actually gave no intimation as to my opinion of his dancing, which is very high, by the way.
I merely stated my observances of his femininity, and my opinion that he was probably homosexual. That was meant in no way derogatorily, as I myself am gay.
I'll admit, it wasn't the most apropriate of comments, but I was at that time in one of my, as you say, witty moods.
o yea, that dancer is from beijing and he broke his hip like two years ago. yup, he's pretty famous but he has the specialties of girl's not of a guy's. my dad has all the DVDs of the competition. in the end he didn't get first place. this korean solo did better.
His flexibility is extraordinary, especially as a man, which is great! What he lacks conspicuously, however, is masculinity, which is an indispensable component of a male dancer and which severely down-graded the overall esthetic value of his dance.
i see many rhythmic gymnastics elements and he handles them well!

@Seekinsion haha..
its pretty incredible
i had a friend at school who did traditional chinese dancing like this and she would do an ours stretching a day just to remain that flexible
her back was like a brick wall but could bend it like a contortionist

he is more like a gymnast than a dancer, it's not fair to compare him with the conventional dancers

This isn't the first contortionist/dancer vid thoreador has so wittily commented on. He just doesn't know a good dancer when he sees it.

Have to agree with you. He's a fantastic dancer but has absolutely no masculine appeal.
