Homer, this is very nice. It is completely in German. I only understood "flughafen"! It seems that at subsequent to this point in 2007, you transition to English with yout trip reports. What prompted you to change from German to English?
schau mir gern Deine videos an!

from what i know, the E Gate are not givin to people who are on a visit visa, it's givin to people who have Resident Visa in the UAE, and for the UAE locals as well, Now the UAE changed the Visa for all countries so read about Visas for UAE before going there
Maybe before, but for what i know now When an EU or American or any Visa waiver are entering the UAE, they have to pay a total of almost 100US$ to get the visa, the Visa thingie in the UAE have totally changed unlike before like EU enter the country and at immigration get stamp and thats it, No they changed now. I dont know how the new system works now
Your information is (fortunately) not correct as i am just back from there 2 days ago. My e-gate did not work for another reason - so the officer there just gave me a stamp in 20 seconds like before - arrangements for visa waiver countries are unchanged
It is all in one place..the world´s most fantastic and modern architecture and hotels..at the same time traditional, lively quarters with good people from all over Asia..great food from all over Asia..no needs to worry about safety..the sea and the creek..so many reasons:) And why do YOU like it so much?
Is this the airport that passengers on airline forums say that it has one of the most crowded and chaotic lines? One of the most dreaded stopovers ever, or is it another airport in the Mid East?
Another good news from Emirates Airline: they are allowing the use of cell phones during the flight. That's amazing! but at the same time, i think that our privacy is gone: just imagine a traveller beside you talking non-stop during the flight!!!!!!
Regards and a Happy Easter from Sao Paulo-Brazil!!
Happy Easter, my friend, to Sao Paulo too. Actually, if this were definitely true, this would be very bad news and I might change my favourite airline..how should I do my videos anymore with somebody on the neighbour seat nerving me with his phone calls all the time? Many airlines will not allow it for such reasons..and I hope also at Emirates reason will prevail.
I have some questions. Plz feel free to answer them (or not).
1) Is that true that u can request your lunch/dinner anytime during the flight (and not necessarily at the time they are serving it) to the crew when u r travelling first class?
2) why there are not any arabian women working as airhostess?? In your videos u can see only crew members from other countries but arab...i think is a matter of culture, arab people like to preserv their women.
This is true, and as you said, for first class only. It is nice, especially when you had some nice food in the lounge before and need a little food pause. Drawback: you cannot mix your own plate any more from the various dishes on the trolley, which i also enjoyed.
ad 2) I had, for instance, FAs from Egypt and other countries with a moslem population (arab or not). The reason you dont see them on film is that i always ask before filming, and as you suggest, FAs with a moslem background usually do not like it..the same factor might also explain that there are not so many of them, although you also have very conservative backrounds in other cultural contexts. Greetings to Brazil!
I am afraid you cannot pre-arrange it. There are various options. If you have an Emirates status card, you get it for free or for a reduced fee. If you come from the set of countries which do not require a vis, you can puchase it for 2 years for some 30 USD. Unfortunately, you have to arrange for that once you are in Dubai. Pls put on some videos of your university trip!!!! What will it be about?
I dont take this request as rude:). I just made these videos mainly for home consumption, thats why they are in my mother tongue. Yet, in recent videos on Emirates flights I made my comments in english..just check the one on Emirates Business Class.

I gotta say that the Dubai Airport concourse looks a lot more like a western style shopping mall than an airport, very impressive.

I a way, yes. Though, compared to Bangkoks new airport, even this one appears to be a little grocery store:)

Dear sir,
I have some questions. Plz feel free to answer them (or not).

2) why there are not any arabian women working as airhostess?? In your videos u can see only crew members from other countries but arab...i think is a matter of culture, arab people like to preserv their women.

There is nothing wrong with the questions.
