its sad that so many do not fully understand what will happen, imagine if all comunication satelites were lost even for a month. if the electronics are fried they are done you have to launch a new satelite. all banking shut down, all utilities, medical+fire+police can not respond.

look at katrina it only took about 2-3 days for society to completely braek down

We do have SERIOUS concerns in the near future--look at economy and food/oil supplies..

However, losing electricity is not one of them. Sun doesn't cast a spell and say you can have no power. At the VERY extreme(thousands of times more powerful than what we saw in 1958), we'd lose power for a cpl days. You lose power because it fries components. Make/buy new ones and you have power again.

if i am honest iwe could live without energy (elektricity) for a few years in the world you have tribes who arent that well... who still live like in the year 100 it will be a problem people will die but people will survive and earth sicle will start again

@BETTYMOOBOO just my opinion, but who says they have not already. The problem is with all power over vast areas out, then replacement and repairs would still be near impossible as transport and work teams etc. would grind to a halt as chaos broke out over the survival resources.

I am a survivor and also have knowledge of the power industry.

Self reliance is the first step, security is secondary then, so being prepared is the only advantage you will have.

@SolarStormWarning Exactly Dude. The solar starm is the Cause. The effect is people trying to kill for you for what they THINK you have. Food, water, Medicine. Things like that. I have one tip to give. Get a backpack full of supplies and a good pair of walkin boots. The second the grid drops and all electronics stop working, dont wait for help to come. Start walking and get AWAY from the cities. KEEP walking. If you prepared you will have food to make it out. Wile others kill each other.

@RicoWorried1 not if you are fully self-reliant and secure, a bunker is a good investment with tank/running water and storage of food for around 2 years with other supplies as candles, gas (LPG) solid fuel, solar generation with the electronics protected with lead insulation / box or underground at least 500mm will help all protect from solar (gamma ) radiation, this has already been done by myself, so good luck to the rest of you.

BTW don't come-a-knocking my property is fully B-Trapped in Oz
