In 2008 I was a Hillary supporter. Only reason I can find for me, a more conservative person, to vote for her is that I just wanted a woman president. I ended up not voting because I didn't want Obama or Mccain. However since it was the 1st time I cared to follow an election I ended up learning a lot. I didn't know much about Ron then except he had a lot of enthusiastic supporters. This time I know a lot more about Ron and politics in general. I re-registered Republican just to vote for him.
This man still does not "get it". He still believes government wanted to rid us of the problems he mentions. This is an easily duped man or worse. I affiliate with the Republican Party. In 2008 I voted for Obama because he promised so many things. In 2012 I will be voting for Ron Paul. If he doesn't get the Republican nomination, I will write him in, because he is the only person who can save this nation from economic and foreign relations doom.

@goRPaul You are right that it is a 2 for one deal when someone like Trey changes his mind. However, I think you are not going to find enough like him among currently registered Republicans. Ron Paul is going to need to convince a significant number of progressives to jump ship if he is going to win the nomination. I know libertarian purists don't like to hear this but if they want their agenda advanced at all, they have to start pushing for a coalition with progressives.

well, he actually didn't really give an opinion about homosexuality, other than government should stay out of it. As for homosexuality itself, he didn't agree with nor reject the idea. He was very transparent in his wording. As for the behaviors of homosexuals, that is classifying people in a group. If you see people as individuals, not as an extension of the group they belong to, you may find more peace in the behaviors you witness that you do not approve of.
@lexynuzum perhaps I am gathering that out of his other personal moral beliefs I have heard him profess over the years., He is VERY socially conservative, morally- luckily for us, not politically.

Although I never voted for Bush or supported Huckabee or Delay, my situation of coming to liberty is very much analogous to yours. 4 years ago I was forced to go to the Revolution: A Manifesto book signing in Louisvill Ky. I saw Rand speak and then Ron. From then on I was hooked.
I voted for Chuck Baldwin in 2008.
I will be voting for Ron Paul in 2012.

@libertyexchange yeah but if the fed prints it allows more lending to commercial banks which in effect down the track will dilute everyones money making prices rise before wages can keep up. making all the middle class poorer except for those who bought assets before the inflation began.

My name is Robert and I am from South Florida. I voted for McCain in the 2008 Presidential Election, not because he was great but because I didn't want Obama to win. But now I know we need a true conservative candidate to win the primary, not these moderate rhinos. I used to have some neo-con beliefs, but not anymore. Ron Paul has sparked my intellectual curiosity about Austrian economics, liberty and the evils of the Federal Reserve. Ron Paul has my vote in 2012, and I will volunteer for him.

My name is James. I didn't vote in 2008 because I couldn't bear to vote for the "lesser of two evils." I'm voting for Ron Paul in 2012 because he's the only one talking consistent policy. The Presidential election should not be a popularity contest!

Im Holly, im from Irvine CA. In 2008 I voted for Obama. In 2012 I will vote for Ron Paul. Originally I voted for Obama because I saw him as the lesser of two evils. Dr Paul has restored my passion of politics and a brighter outlook of America in general.

@redcomic619 for someone like this who believes that its a sin to be homosexual, i support his first amendment right to believe so and to wish to change the minds of homosexuals toward an old testament christian view through peaceful means. I do not see homosexuality as sinful, but there are behaviors i don't approve of, that others do approve of, that i seek to change others' perspectives about. in defense of my own liberty to do so, I welcome competing ideas.

well, he actually didn't really give an opinion about homosexuality, other than government should stay out of it. As for homosexuality itself, he didn't agree with nor reject the idea. He was very transparent in his wording. As for the behaviors of homosexuals, that is classifying people in a group. If you see people as individuals, not as an extension of the group they belong to, you may find more peace in the behaviors you witness that you do not approve of.

yeah, he didn't advocate getting rid of it, he said that the impositions by the government haven't gotten rid of it, so obvioulsy that government intervention doesn't work..whether you're for or against, government involvement doesn't make people halt being homosexual or even heterosexual for that matter. that was his point.
