How good is Heyday as an album? I too recall this song's release, seen on the ABC many years ago. I was a tad too young to get into it, but I remember having this instant feeling that these guys were unquestionably cool. A few years later, I was ready ; )
I've always wondered who did this video, was the idea that of the band, or was it just the visual impulse of composition against the music.. and letting things fall into place by chance?
I've always felt this video was like a brilliant painting which compliments the song so well, colour, movement and it inspired me to study a little more 4-D art.
i'll never forget- i was in a record store at a mall, and was just browsing thru tapes. i found heyday- had never heard of the church but was drawn to the album cover, and bought it on a whim. the rest is history- i have an old VHS of a lot of these vids but came looking on the tube and found this stuff here. amazing- also saw them in concert at a club in 1988, first and last time. wouldn't mind seeing them again after these 20 years- long ass time. thanks for the upload.
This song is just about one of the besT ever written..

Heyday....One of THE MOST underrated albums of the 1980's. Absolutely brilliant album. They were quite good live too...
