When my first child was little she complained that the veggie hot dog she had tasted like pencil eraser; which made me wonder how she knew lol!
You're looking very dapper lately Dirk! I had a haircut yesterday and I don't have the shabby look we shared anymore although I think at this time you definitely look sharper!
wirklich sehr guter, gesellschaftskritischer Song - 1A! bzw. 5+/5
(Vom moralischem Aspekt mal abgesehen)
@krabbers I'm trying to become a veggie, but I find it hard to live without sausages. (And I've tried the soy ones and I think they taste like crap.) I'll continue working on it...
my german is very little but a old german man told me one time was ist los and then told me all ist vas nicht fest he said whats loose and then the reply was everything that is not tight or something like that
@ken6675 Haha, Ken, it's a pun. "Was ist los?" (What's the matter?) is literally translated "What is loose?" and his answer "Alles, was nicht fest ist." means "Everything that is not fixed."
@YoppyKyabetsu Thanks, Yopp! However only user Uketeufel had personal contact with the cows mentioned in this song. I was just cowardly copying his words! :-)
@austinlove1 I'm sure you can learn it. I remember the day when I learned how to whistle, it was on my way back home from elementary school and to the utter dismay of my parents I whistled all through the following weeks until my jowls hurt and then some... (I also remember the day when I learned how to belch by command, but I felt totally sick after belching as much as I could for an entire afternoon - but that's another story!!)
I sometimes translate my songs into English too, but I prefer to remain a bit of a mystery. This was a great idea, Dirk. I like listening to you sing in German.
@DearOldNutjob Thank you, Don! Actually Hannes Lada (user Uketeufel) had the great idea. I just spun it a little further and in one place even (mis)used(?) it for my own purposes: I hated when my ex-gf never had time to listen to my songs!! ;)
Super!
@Uketeufel Vielen herzlichen Dank.
I do not understand a lot of German, but I can get some of the words. I love songs that have animals in them!

The last time I played for cows, they were longhorns and they stampeded right up to the fence and started bugling in the most unsettling manner.
