  • Why do people always incist on argueing who was a better player. Whether you're vouching for Green, Gallagher, Hendrix, Clapton, or whoever. Dude they all brought something unique to the playing feild, to say one was better then the other is pointless and simply your preference. they all had their subtle character and each had a style of their own. Why bother compare and argue, just be honored that you've had the chance to listen to them.

  • I'm not Rory's biggest fan, since he decided to pay tribute to a living guitar playing legend (Peter Green) sixteen years ago whom is the true guitar legend. When some Rory Gallagher fan tells me Peter Green is inferior, I introduce Mr. Ritchie Blackmore. What Rory fans don't understand is that he's more in Blackmore's territory, and he's completely out of his league. Peter Green was all about notes, and emphasis on dynamics. It was all about emotion, and feel. Gary Moore was a poser.

  • This is Peter Green's Texas Blues phase, how it sounds so familiar to a giant who tragically died 8/90. SRV was taking notes.

  • NICE!!!

  • I aint never missed a women!!!!!!!

  • Clapton is the best!... at coming in second behind Peter :P

  • @clikityclak Clapton couldn't wipe Greens ass in '68 and '69... FACT ...

  • @TheoGallagher

If you re-read my comment you will see that im saying Clapton is second to Peter Green... and well 68, 69, and early 70's when Peter got really spiritual with his playing

  • @clikityclak Yes, I understand, your comment didn't make any sense at first. But its true, even B.B King said Green was better than him on multiple occasions. Even in '70, when green was talking LSD, there was no way Clapton could up-turn Green. Rory Gallagher, on the other hand.....

  • @TheoGallagher Clapton's the most over rated guitar player EVER! They both blew him away!!!

  • @jczother

    If Peter Green had stayed off the drugs, he might have equaled B.B. I know he doesn't always show it(i've seen him live on Beale Street), B.B's done shit that will have you on your knees!) Peter Green was wise to learn and style himself with B.B. more than Freddie and Otis Rush; not that he totally shunned them;

  • @oker59 I AGREE BRO, I LIVE IN ST LOU AND SEEN THE BEST PLAY ON A CORNER FOR CHANGE, FACT! CLAPTON'S HYPOCRITICAL ASS NEEDS TO MAKE ANOTHER MICHELOB COMMERCIAL OR SOME SHIT... JJ JOHNSON'S SLIDDERS RIGHT HERE, NEW ALBUM OUT NOW, ST. LOUIS BLOWS CLAPTON'S DOORS OFF!

  • @jczother Look below, I'm not Greens biggest fan. It takes little to be better Robby in The Last Waltz love it, clapton comes unplugged, bad ass picks it up and in that short time it's like yep he sucks! I can almost keep up, he's all scales...NO HEART

  • @jczother

On the other hand, I think those Brits lit a fire under the asses of Freddie King and Otis Rush! They were great blues writers; but, it just seems to me they didn't realize they need to step up till the British bluerock invasion! Of course, there was Buddy Guy and then Jimi Hendrix(Hendrix destroyed Buddy's early career!).

  • @jczother

B.B's fifties stuff rocks; then in the seventies, he got a little too jazz blues fusion for me. His collaborations with Bobby Blue bland were a major missed opportunity!

I've seen B.B. with slash! They said, "and towards the end of the show, we have a surprise!" Slash is always doing this; i don't know if Slash was slacking, but B.B. tore it up. Slash was holding notes; seemed like he didn't know where to go; B.B. never missed a beat; he always knew where to go next!

  • @TheoGallagher Rory was unreal, tunning's truer then the blues, slide, dobro, harp, mandolin, lyrics, voice. and charm!!! Did I miss any?

  • @jczother Amen, I think you got em all.

  • @TheoGallagher Bullshit, Rory, Hendrix, Green, just from Britain! I think Winwood's a better player too! He's an overrated never been, I don't know who he smoked everyone in the 60's. He sucked with Mayall, with the pickers he played with. Couldn't hype his ass more is the fact Jack, don't even come across to Americas pickers for real? Clapton, get an ear!

  • @jczother ALVIN LEE, B.B. YOU'RE TRULY CHALLENGED...

  • @clikityclak ALL YOU CLAPTON LOVERS KNOW HENDRIX AND RORY BLEW HIM AWAY, BY FAAAAAAAAAR! GREEN'S A TRUE BLUES PLAYER THAT'S BEEN TO THE CROSSROADS FOR REAL!!! clapton/ GREEN....

  • @jczother

HAHAHAHA go on my page and tell me who you see ...

  • Greeny busting out the strizzat.

  • It's the Strat!

  • It sounds like Greeny was playing a strat here, instead of his les paul

  • @Onetinsoldier Yes, sounds very much like a Strat.

  • @Onetinsoldier Yeah, pretty fat strat... with danny backing him on his LP it sounds like

  • Hey nice! Have not heard this in a while since i left my collection back home. Great tone here.

    5 stars

  • ...again and again...

    LOVE iT !!!

  • Drifting intro

  • 5*****

  • brilliant!

  • @RensStella

this is what we blues people call a real blues. Greeny simply was the best. Who played Robert Johnson like him? Who had Johnson technique, his ability, just only Greeny. Who to fuck is clapton, i'm tired of hearing clapton is god...

  • @deltadocA Green is way better than Clapton!

  • beautiful
