Are there any videos of Cavett's Apollo 13-themed monologue from April 13, 1970, the night of the 'problem'? I saw a clip of it in the Ron Howard film and was wondering if the whole thing is out there somewhere.
I honestly think his monologues got a bit confusing because he can't see the fucking audience! It seems like he's always squinting at the balcony or something like that.
Awesome!! The early Dick Cavett was definitely funnier then his later work (much like Woody Allen). Proves once again you can be very funny without cursing or making fun of someone. Thanks for sharing this!!

For impromptu responses, I'd say that Cavett was extremely witty. Does anyone know with certainty that they were not pre-rehearsed?
