Dick Dale started in 1963 - the genesis of the concept of a teenager. Since then, we've had the British Invasion, punk, post-punk, techno, new wave, boy bands, gangsta rap, and several other genres.

And through all of it, he's been playing crowds, movie soundtracks, and pop loop samples the whole time. He did it first, he did it best, and he'll still be doing it when Elephunk is long forgotten.

No, I don't think his son was out there for the show. I don't remember the bassist's name, but Dick said that he was recently crowned THE GREATEST BASSIST IN THE WORLD.

Jimmy was not with him at that show. Sam Bolle is the bass player he used to play for Agent Orange he has been playing for Dick since Ron Eglit left.  Last year Dick's show was voted the best show of the year in Madrid Spain out of 400 bands and Sam was voted best bass player of the year in Madrid but they got his name wrong and said Dick Dales bass player Scott is the best bass player of the year in Madrid Spain
