You actually put this together extremely well! If you keep the mind set that those two are supposed to be Mrs. Dewinter and Maxin, it really works.
I have only seen the movie with Olivier and Fontaine. However whenever I watch that, since they never actually show Rebecca I have always envisioned Vivien Leigh as her. Leigh actually audition for the role of Mrs. Dewinter so she could perform with Olivier, but was turned down because she just did GWTW. Selznick believed it would be a downfall...
this is wonderful - I love the book Rebecca and, like you, I keep hoping they will re-make it! I'd love to see a more updated one (more than the 1997 one).
You wouldn't have seen this because it's not a real movie. I just took clips from "I Capture the Castle" and aligned it to the story from DuMaurier's novel.
Honey, I would've been after you with a pitchfork just for never using darling Henry in any of your videos! Sadly, I don't remember Frank in the book, I misplaced my copy during my latest move, so I need to find a new one. Oh, well, the one I had was taken from my highschool library's free book rack, so it was falling apart anyway.
See, I called it! Good thing I remembered to put him in ;)!!! Frank Crawley was really a secondary character, he was Maxim's friend and I think maybe his lawyer or estate agent (I can't remember). Anyway, he's important because he's a nice guy who befriends Mrs. deWinter and she goes to him for advice, guidance and moral support. I love the fact that there's no romantic intrige going on there - he's just a genuine friend, who remains loyal to both deWinters. I think he also knows about Rebecca.
-drools- Yes, I'm a Henry fan...started when I saw Tristan and Isolde, although I didn't recognize him from Count of Monte Cristo, so I was VERY happy with even a small part...and I LOVE Evanescence, so that just made it even better.
And thank you! -needs to either find a new copy or...er...-shuts up about her other option-
No problem! And not to go randomnly OT but... Was your account-name by any chance influenced by Wicked? I saw that play in the Queen's theater on my spring trip to London and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT! I'm not even a big Wizard of Oz fan but now I'm never going to be able to watch that film again without cringing whenever they speak disparagingly of the "wicked" witch. Everyone in my group was singing as we left the theater that night and I even got the green "Defy Gravity" shirt.
I now despise you, because I've not been lucky enough to see it. And yeah, I'm the same way now!
-laughs- Having a giggle over Henry in Red Riding Hood...I'm a youtube whore, according to a former friend...and also now imagining him as Fiyero, for some reason.
Ahh...again, wonderful video! I loved the book...haven't had the pleasure of seeing the movie, though. I loved Rose as Rebeccca! Perfect fit.
Oh, and kind of off subject, but oh well. :) Have you ever read the book, The Pillars of the Earth by Ken Foilet? I just finished it, and if you like Philippa Gregory's writing/England/historical fiction, this is a great book.

Great video, now I'm going to have to go reread the book! And I'll probably imagine Byrne and Garai as their respective characters in this video
